We came here for lunch because it was not crowded. Since we were the first customers the waiters were very attentive. So for the service I'll give them 4 stars. The place was clean and ambience was pretty good. For the food, i fell in love with their pako salad. The pako was crunchy and the fish sauce dressing complements it. I also loved their tortang talong. We also ordered crispy pata (not crunchy though) , adobong pusit and fried tilapia. The latter disappoints me as it tasted "maanta". Probably they re-used the oil for frying.Over all experience was ok except for the tilapia.

The weekend after "undas", My wife & daughter wanted to try Filipino food again so we went to Via Mare in MAAX last Saturday. We ordered Kare-Kare, adobong pusit, molo soup & palitaw for dessert. We were told that rice is already included with the Kare-Kare & adobong pusit but when the bill was presented there an additional Php110++ for the rice?!?! We were told they made a mistake in telling us that rice were included already in 2 of our orders.Quantity : The kare-kare would be ok for 1 to 2 persons while the adobong pusit would be good for 1. The molo soup is good for 2-3. The palitaw is 3 small pieces.Quality & Taste : The adobong pusit is barely edible. The squid is tough like rubber and when I complained, it was just reheated and served again!!! The kare-kare was too bland and almost tasteless without the shrimp paste. The tripe in the kare-kare was tender. The molo had 2 pieces of shrimp & 5 molos and was unremarkable. The palitaw was ok but would have been better if there were a little bit more of roasted sesame & coconut and less sugar.Price & Overall : The total regular price is over Php 1000.00. It would have been money better spent in another Filipino restaurant we ate prior to this one or any other restaurant. I expected better since Via Mare supposedly has been around for a long time already. I was very disappointed and have no plans of trying this restaurant again. Overall rating is low.

Their 'Althanghap' dishes taste basically okay in terms of taste which has some sort of twist. The problem is their poor customer service. Took a while before they served water which we requested. It also took awhile before are dishes were served. It seems they were under manned at that time.

Service was good. Ambiance is nice, but it was a bit warm, maybe bec of the summer season. Price I would say is high vs serving size. Don’t be deceived by the pictures in the menu. Otsters and crispy pata were not available during our visit. This restaurant is best for merienda only.

There were a lot of available tables when we walked in, especially that this is outside the mall, and we were accommodated immediately. The staff was nice and friendly but they forgot one of our orders so we had to wait some more for our orders to complete. From our dining experience, my favorite was the Tiyan ng Bangus sa Asado. It had the right calamansi flavor that didn't overpower the fish. The fish was soft but had a crispy batter. The Crispy Pata was also a hit. The meat was soft and flavorful while the skin was crispy. We also ordered the Tortang Alimasag, Kare-Kare, Arroz Caldo Goto which were just okay. Our over-all dining experience was okay but nothing special about their dishes. Prices are a bit high and the serving size was too small which is good for 2 persons only (except the Crispy Pata).
