I just want to commend the restaurant (at Newport Mall at Resorts World) and its staff for the very satisfactory service we received on May 3, 2014 (Saturday evening at around 11:30 P.M.)We went there to celebrate my birthday. We were really satisfied with the food we ordered.  They're so delicious that we want to actually get back there and eat again. :) I appreciate those who were on duty that time because though it was not requested, they gathered themselves and sang a Happy Birthday song altogether for me.  It was just something I didn't expect to happen on that day.  I'm not used to being greeted that way.  it just shows how they care for their customers as if we're all one big happy family.  Good customer service means a lot.So, good job.  Keep it up!

First ate at their branch in Malate. I could still remember my experience in trying out their Singaporean crab with fried mantao on the side, it was delicious. For their Resorts world branch, The food was also good although I was not able to try their Singaporean crab there. But what I clearly remembered is how attentive the waiter that was assigned to our table and of course the free black gulaman desert. We jokingly said "Our cup will never empty" since literally he fills it up before it empties. Also, he immediately clears the empty plates without us asking. My family, specially my father was happy with their service.

To us (girlfriends & Family) Newport means Tao yuan and the cinemas! No offense meant to other restos here, but we've tried most of them, and believe me, Tao Yuan will always give you the gastronomic fulfillment that goes with the money you are shelling out, more if I have to say so! It's worth waiting if you don't have a booking, but it is always smart to book a table. The whole management is really customer friendly without being too familiar. Their friendliness is not a put on merely because you're a customer. The Manager (or maybe the owner) is there to make sure everyone is attended to if you're trying to catch a server's attention. Quick service too without it compromising the quality of the food! The place is roomy despite the tables maximizing the space, maybe because of the lighting and the ceiling being too high :). All in all, a Tao Yuan experience is a winner!! And that's no exaggeration! It is always nice to ask the server the best sellers, (although whatever you order from the menu, you'll never go wrong, we've been there numerous times so I'm speaking from experience 😊) We love their Roast Duck! It's always "D #1" everytime we go there :) The pics are collection of shots most of the time we were there. Some I didn't dare since the company I was with were sometimes conservative, which means pic porn was not appreciated and considered unethical 😉 . As I've said, there was never a word of regret with all the items we ordered - everytime we were there! Oh did I already say that? Hahaha! It's that good 😋😋😋

Tao Yuan stands as a Chinese restaurant but specializes in Singaporean dishes. When dining here, do try their Ba Kuh Teh, Baked Double Soft Shell Crab with Salt, Char Kway Teow, Singaporean Laksa and their Hainanese Chicken. Though food seems to taste better in their original branch in Malate, the advantage of dining here is the convenience and safety of your car inside a mall parking lot (you know how chaotic it can be in Malate). Service is fast, waiting staff are very attentive.

The best Hainanese Chicken Rice in Manila! Plump and juicy chicken with simple but flavorful rice to go with it. Best eaten with a combination of the three sauces: ginger, soy and chili.

Food was really good before. But the Laksa we ordered wasnt so good. It was better before. It tasted very very watery. The chicken rice also had better flavor before. Quite disappointing really.

Poor service: it took almost an hour before we were served our food, despite the fact that there were only a few diners.Bland tasting food: for the price, ive had better dishes at cheaper prices.Worst of all, they still serve shark's fin soup, which should be illegal.

I can't remember the last time I had been to this restaurant. So it was a good refresher to go back here again for dinner. We were just looking to satisfy our cravings. We think that they have to improve the interiors as it seems dated already and also they could perhaps be more discrete on eliminating unwanted insects while people are dining. The food was good though which is the main reason for the visit but updating their fixtures would be a welcome one.

My staples when at Tao Yuan! The best Hainanese chicken in the metro! Alth6 I would say the Binondo branch was better.. It was 1130 when we visited the Newport branch, so they didn't have all their lights on.. but we were still customers so they should have made an exception for that. Also, the char kway chow noodles were overcooked a bit. But still, everything tasted delicious and the servers were very good to us.
