Quality has its price, and you'll realize this as soon as you sit down and order at Swensen's. Fortunately, their ice cream is of the premuim kind. Everything from the vanilla, coffee, mocha and other fruit flavors are just so tasty, flavourful, thick and the texture smooth. You can tell that its not local. The last time we were here, we ordered what they call the "hurricane" and the "earthquake" (something like 8 scoops + toppings in a huge bowl) hoping that for their price, one order would be enough for 4 persons sharing. Wishful thinking. It was not enough. The kids weren't satisfied and ordered for more, and this time, they ordered on an individual basis. The bank went broke! The pictures of their ice cream creations are beautiful but they were probably taken too close that they look huge, but huge they are not.Are we going back? Yes, definitely but only on very special occasions....not unless they increase their serving size.

Swensen's from San Francisco, California has brought two other variations for your palates: Strawberry Crepe and Strawberry Chocolate Lava. C'est magnifique! With two blogger friends, I came to Swensen's (MOA) to have a first taste of both these ice cream viands. Swensen's Philippines Marketing Manager Ace Azarraga offered a handshake and introduced himself, upon my entrance. He welcomed us as part of the event and told us about Swensen's formidable team headed by Lizzie Guerrero (owner and general manager). The light background music, cool temperature, and the modern layout of the area helped to convince customers to stay and feel satisfied throughout. The Strawberry Crepe can make you feel in love, with the food under your nose. The cream had decent frothy goodness and surprisingly, the crepe was so soft and smooth that it can catch you off guard. It was not fried and it was not hot. The taste of chocolate syrup blended with the vanilla and strawberry ice creams well.Secondly, the Strawberry Chocolate Lava was presented neatly with a small rounded chocolate fudge, swirly whipped cream, bits of frozen strawberries and strawberry ice cream. When I combined all these ingredients in each bite, what I found was a revelation. Crepes, ice creams and sundaes aren't anything new, but Swensen's most endearing feature is that it offers classy ice creams and treats with a static meniscus of tasteful loveliness.Price does not come cheap. To read my complete review, go to http://rochkirstin.com/review-of-swensens-strawberry-in-love-sm-mall-of-asia-pasay/

Lovely 50s diner inspired interiors. Very extensive menu as well--it took me forever to figure out what to order! Seriously, it's an ice cream parlor place! What more could you possibly ask for?

On a scorching 35 degree outdoor, the only way to make it thru is to dose down... Tall glass of Iced Tea? A Venti Frappe? Even better... A nasty Ice Cream fix!Head on to a Swensen's at the Mall of Asia to get my westside fix of ice cream glory. Swensen's is by the way one of those mainstream IC parlors founded in San Francisco by Earle Swensen with over 180 flavors to indulge in. I liked how the local owners stayed true to the international concept & kept that Swensen's ambience for their customers to experience. The interiors were a smart combo of modern & 50s diner with those scoopery counters & Tiffany stained lamps that are consistent with branches worldwide. The lighting fairly matched their pastel walls adding to that " Soothing to the Eyes " ambienceI went for a crispy waffle basket stuffed by Banana, pecan pralines made luscious by Salted Caramel sauce topped by Almonds. This bowl of wicked wisdom is called Nutty Banana @ P265. We also had the conventional Peach Banana Split (P285) which was made epic by its Strawberry sauce & thick cream topped with ground nuts. Another homerun was their Choco Malt Fantasy (P285) what's in it? Take this - Marshmallow, Choco chips, Malt balls & a generous helping of Hot Fudge. We also went fruity with their Crispy Cocktail Sundae (P265) - Crispy basket with assorted trolical fruits, whipped cream topped by Almonds. It was a pleasant cool down experience, they got some real solid Sundaes in that parlor! And they're huge too! Prices are reasonable given their significant portions & the staff are nice. They exert effort into educating their customers of the various IC concoctions. With this kind of weather & humidity stickin' around for quite a while, I might just frequent this place & wish everyday was Sundae...I mean Sunday :)

Swensens is one best ice cream store for me because they offer a variety of unique ice cream flavors which you'll not able to find in other stores. I tried the chocolate ice cream with koko crunch toppings and it was delicious but it's too much sweet for me. The service was good, the staffs were friendly. The price range is 200-600 but I think it's worth it, their serving was big. And I think it was design for kids who loves ice cream they have a seperate menu just for kids.

#oreobrownie is the best! Not too sweet. And the combination of the ingredients blended well. Too bad they dont have service water and need to buy bottled water instead. Good thing it is just around 25 pesos :) i will go for swensens rather than coldstone creamery.
