This Serenitea branch was awesome during my first hour of stay. They open at around 11am, not at 12nn, so website may have to check their opening time first. Anyway, when I entered there was nobody at the cashier at first, but it didn't take long for people to notice me. The cashier person was nice enough, and I got myself a chicken chops rice. But I don't know why it took them 15 minutes to prepare it. The meal was hot, and I was excited for the chicken chops. The rice serving wasn't that big, but to my surprise, that wasn't the only thing on my food. They had some chicken broth in it too. Idk how to explain it and I thought it was a bit too expensive (125 pesos), but it was still good. It got bad when a group of insensitive college students came in. I wouldn't have mind them talking with each other but it got too loud and I was really annoyed because I was studying at the time. My earphones didn't help. A lot of other people left too and I guess, I kind of wished that the management could have told these kids to lower down their volume as respect and courtesy to the other people staying inside, especially since the establishment isn't so big. The wifi works on my phone, but not on my laptop. There are no power outlets, but their music was really great. Some people were singing along to it. I would have stayed longer if it weren't for those kids.

The first thing I noticed about the reviews was the hotness of the place. Yes, as an avid lover of Serenitea and that this branch is where I go to the most, I agree.Truth to be told, I've already ask about this to one of the staff, and haven't got an answer. Although I did hear (somehow) that it was Newport's way of preventing 'tambays' because the branch wasn't big. People needed to go before another batch could come in. And the place didn't appreciate people who had finished their drinks two hours ago and are still occupying most of the space. But I still couldn't blame the people who didn't stand the heat, even I can't lie that it spoils the whole experience. Now going to the other factors, Serenitea is hands down the best tea place in the country, none could compete. Aesthetic, cute and relaxing ambiance + faaab variety of faaab drinks. My personal favorite is Okinawa. 50% sugar level with coffee jelly and black diamonds (sinkers). Years ago I drank my Okinawa with coffee jelly and crystals (nata) but I realized that the juice of the nata ruins the drink, so I switched to black diamonds and boy, I've never drank anything better with sinkers this good. Better than coffee jelly (but I keep them because I like coffee and there are no additional charges so why not?)Fact is that I HATED milkteas before. Only until I discovered Serenitea. Now I drink atleast once a week (only Serenitea though, I still hate other milkteas oops)I don't really try the other drinks, and 90% of the time I go here is plainly focused on my fav drink. But I've tried a few like Wintermelon (It was good, better than other that I've tasted) and other featured drinks like Hongkong Milktea (didn't taste good, it tea blended with excessive amount of FRESH milk, and even though I loved both tea and fresh milk, I must say that they didn't fit well with each other). As for the snacks, my favorite is the chicken chops. More often than not, they took time to cook. But they're worth it, although heavy eaters would want to have two orders. They're less than a hundred so it's not a problem! Oooh and pepper corn! Not a fan of corn but then again Serenitea made it possible. So basically, that -1 on the rating was only because of the hotness of the branch. But the branch isn't that bad! Newport is known to be an exclusive mall and limited people go here (maybe a few days a bit packed than normal but...) so most of the time, you'd encounter sophisticated people. Which helps a lot if you're there to relax.Besides, you can just by a drink and when it gets to hot, walk around the mall! (The third and first floors are the coldest!) It's a little mall and you'd have fun strolling, while holding a perfectly good cup of tea.Update: I forgot to mention that Serenitea has stopped the production of black diamonds, phased out in all branches. They said the it is no longer feasible for them to keep it in their menu, due to logistical concerns. :(

I love Serenitea! I always visit this branch whenever I'm at RW but there's one thing I noticed - it's hot inside. The temperature didn't change from the very first time I stepped inside this branch up until now. Hope they'll be able to do something with their A/C! 😊

Im reviewing this branch based on their milk tea alone which i have ordered on 2 occasions. You know how sometimes taste is branch-specific. Just when i thought that my serenitea love has waned a bit, I noticed that their tea concoctions here taste remarkably better than other branches. Tea game is def strong mixed in whatever variant you are having. And bec of that, my romance with serenitea is now rekindled :-)

Tried this one out of curiosity. Been seeing this all over my newsfeed so when I saw there was an outlet at the Resorts World I had to go and find out for myself what the fuss is all about. The store is located at the 4th floor of the newport mall near the parking exit. The place was packed and there was a long queue outside. I didn't mind the wait as it gave me time to think of what to order. The place has a light feel to it and it gave a very calm and relaxing vibe. When my time was up, I still didn't know what to order so the server helped me out with what their best sellers were. Since I love anything caramel, then I decided to try the Hokkaido Milk Tea which has a butter toffee caramel flavor and ordered a large cup. Unfortunately I had too much sugar added to it that it became too sweet for my taste. Though I'm not a fan, I might just give it another try next time without the sugar. Hopefully I would have a change of heart.

Got their Okinawa Milk Tea, large with pearls as sinkers, 75% sugar. I noticed that they don't use those huge thermos anymore to get the brewed tea portion but rather they have these sleek "espresso" looking stuff where they get the tea. Pretty cool.Loved my milk tea, as usual. What I like most is that I'm able to adjust the sweetness level of my drink according to my preference. Always better to start at a low % sugar, then ask them to add more as needed. Then I got a little carried away and got three snacks.> Peppered Corn - my most favorite! Grilled corn with butter, salt and lots of pepper! Love the hint of sweetness from the corn that went really well with all the black pepper and spices. It was indeed spicy!> Peppered Tofu - I was a little disappointed here coz the tofu cubes were under seasoned. Wish they put in some more of the salt and ofher spices.> Chicken Chops - perfectly fried, crispy outside but tender and juicy inside plus I loved the fried basil leaves it came with. Also seasoned with salt and pepper, this snack is addicting!Staff were quite fast. It only took them leas than 10mims to prepare everything!

I ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea and my friend ordered the Osmanthus Oolong Tea served hot. I was impressed with my drink, as it was refreshing with the additional bonus of the coconut jellies that reminded me of my childhood. It held up well on the car ride back to my place. My friend thought his tea was just "okay". It wasn't a complex-tasting Oolong and we weren't expecting anything fancy. It was was almost room temperature and a light watered down roasted flavor. Normally he is strictly a black milk tea guy but we had already shared a large cup of Hokkaido MT and he felt he had reached his dairy quota for the day. But overall, clean location, delicious finger snacks, sweet workers, customize-able ice and sweetness levels, and enjoyable drinks. Next time I will try their famous ice cream drinks!

Capping the night with Nagoya Milk Tea. So refreshing to drink after long hours of work. I usually request for 50% sugar so that it's not too sweet.

As soon as we entered, we noticed how hot it was inside. I thought it'd get cooler but no - I'm not even sure if the aircon was working. While waiting for the drinks, I went to the toilet. It was so small and doesn't look like it was cleaned regularly. When our drinks were served, mine wasn't sealed properly. Some of the milk tea spilled out. We wanted to stay but it was so hot. I had Wintermelon Milk Tea 50% sugar and no sinkers. I usually order that but I find it so bland at that time. It wasn't even cold - not refreshing at all. This branch used to look so pretty before but it looked run-down already.
