Before going home, me and my bestfriend decided to take a few more rounds at the mall- for pasalubong. We saw Pie Face, told her I've read about it here in website and might as well try it.Got almond sticks and green tea with red bean bread for myself while bff got a muffin.VERDICT: I love my almond sticks! Well, not really sticks for they strike me like cut-out pies, but they're delish! Flaky crust and moist, tasty center. The green tea bread- ish is okay. Kinda "bitin" 'coz its small. Never got to try bff's muffin tho. Was busy taking photos that when i turn to her, muffin's gone. Its probably that good.✌️

The pie is crusty, but the flavor is just okay. I may try other flavors just so I would know if it's something I would eventually love. Their caramel bar is chewy and too sweet for my teeth.

The pies are good just like the ones home in Melbourne. Its great to see them here in the Philippines! I've tried majority of the pies. Although the pastry is consistent across the different pies a few of the flavours I've found quite bland such as the Chicken and mushroom, chunky steak (needs salt) and the pulled pork (too sweet and missing the hickory). I did really like the classic mince and the chili con carne. Flavours with these two were awesome. I'm also really looking forward to the sausage rolls to become available!I do enjoy Pie face. But after buying a box of 5 on the weekend my wife found a piece of hair baked into the crust which was very off putting. I will be going into the shop tomorrow to complain and report it... tsk tsk tsk.

I was delightfully pleased by the pies I tried. I've been on the hunt for Aussie meat pies for more than a decade and a half, and I found their Aussie Mince pie to be as good as the stuff I had growing up in Sydney. Liked it so much I ordered a second one to go. 😁Also ordered a Butterscotch pie, and a Dark Chocolate pie. The Butterscotch was flavorful and not overly sweet, while the Chocolate pie was rich tasting. Non of that processed chocolate taste or feeling. Will definitely be coming back for more.
