Le Bar at Sofitel just opened their merienda buffet last September 2016. The buffet offers mostly Filipino merienda dishes with unlimited tea and coffee. I loved their Embutido, Pansit Malabon, Ube Halaya and Champorado among others. I also love their Manila Mango tea. Le Bar is beautifully decorated just in time for the Christmas season and I strongly suggest that everyone should give it a visit! It's just so pretty!Got their danish pastries and muffins for 30% (or70%?) off because it was after 7pm already. The pastries I got to sample on two different days at home and both were very good! I liked the one cinnamon with raisins, it's just so warm and hearty! The one with strawberries and mangoes was very fresh even after two days! I think they're really worth the try.The macarons are also a delight! For me, they rank next to Laduree and TWG macarons in our country, followed by french bakers. I always get these as surprises from my parents especially on my most exhausting days and I always always love getting to eat these. Sofitel's macarons are very very good, they do not skrimp on ingredients, each macaron is jampacked with their topnotch fillings. Even the macaron shells are very chewy. My favorite flavors would be the chocolate (tastes much like the ones they have in their buffet area), pistachio, vanilla, strawberry, and salted caramel (they do a great salted caramel!!). What I do not like is the sesame seed macaron. I love that they're always consistent with how ther macarons are made and how their pastries and cakes always look so beautiful!!

Perfect view of the sunset over wine and with good friends. Sets a great mood to start off your night. Staff very attentive to your needs with excellent recommendations to guests.

Nice place to relax while listening to jazz music. We ordered sanwiches which were all good. The coffee with free cookies were impressive too.

Ordered Americano and my husband ordered iced cafe mocha. We were pleasantly surprised that the Americano came with a shot of orange juice and a mini cookie and biscotti. not sure but i find the coffee of Americano too thin. The coffee there are a bit pricey but the lounge sofa were so comfy and the ambiance is luxurious.

Too early for a wedding reception, we decided to stay at Le Bar to pass time. The dimly-lit ambiance is warm and romantic. The sofas are cozy and actually a great place to take a nap. The venue is also good for meetings.I do not understand how a hotel lobby lounge works actually. I thought that since we were staying at the lounge, we need to order something to "compensate" for the space. However, no waiter is approaching us until we requested for it.Price is a bit on the expensive side but okay for a 5-star hotel that uses quality ingredients. We just had drinks. I had Iced Mocha and my wife had Americano. The coffee came with a cookie.

I am giving this a 4-rating not because of the food, but because of the ambiance and a very warm service from the food ambassadors of Le Bar Sofitel. I went here last Saturday to unwind and enjoy some me-time. Ms. Michelle, Mr. Jezreel and Mr. Jeff Plando are the best staffs here, they are so kind and very attentive. I love the magnifique Fench style of Sofitel, I've been an intern here way back 2013 and I can say that the classy interior is always what I love here. I ordered  Raspberry Chocolate Gateau and Pistachio Macaron which are good and yummy. I know it's pricey but I think it's okay since I'm having it in a 5 star hotel. It's always good to hangout here for a solo traveler/ food explorer.

Mocha Latte is a must try! All pastries are expensive yet taste is just average. It's a good place for business meetings. Comfortable couch and nice crowd.

Tried their merienda buffet, regular price is P799 but we availed their FB discount @P649. The buffet comes with unlimited hot choco, coffee and tea. Loved their pansit Malabon, cuchinta and siopao. Ginataang mais tastes good but I just have half a bowl because the green color really turns me off. Overall, nothing spectacular in taste but still worth a try. Good service and cozy ambience.

This place was a let down. My husband and I have always enjoyed Spirals, so we had high expectations. There is no question about the ambiance of the place. It is quiet and it is a great place for chit chat. But the food we ordered were bland. We had their steak sandwich and their pork belly. Steak sandwich was just okay. Description said presence of bacon which we did not taste to be present in the dish. Fries tasted of old reused cooking oil. Yuck! Pork belly needed seasoning!! It was tender, but I saw myself sprinkling salt just for me to be able to eat it. And prices are not cheap at all. Servers were slow, but I guess it was because the place was packed with people for the POGS convention.
