Affordable contemporary Japanese dish. I love their uni so much.. Great for a late night dinner after work. Itadakimasu! I tried their Kani tamadon a Deep fried breaded crab stick mixed with egg. and Gyudon a thinly sliced beef with vegetable in donburi sauce and my all time fave California maki and uni.

I can consider their food as slightly above average. Price is a bit higher than average. I don't know why I left a 40 peso tip before leaving.

I keep forgetting the names of the dishes we ordered, but I do agree thay kimono ken claims to bring affordable japanese food with good quality. We ordered a lot that night, and left no leftovers. I guess the food was pretty good for that standard. Loved the california maki, philadelphia maki, and the spicy salmon maki. The gyozas were also great, not the cheap kind. The chicken teriyaki rice was delicious, it's the kind that I like, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Also ordered. Gyu hireniku, had it medium rare and loved how tender and juicy it was. The rest is 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Service was impeccable as well. I would definitely come back for the makis, gyu hireniku, and the rice bowls.

I just keep coming back for their cowboy roll! Service is good but when the place gets full, expect your order in more than half an hour. Food quality is average, nothing to rave about.

If i am not mistaken this is the first branch of Kimono Ken then next is in Tomas Morato.  Aside from sahimis and sushis their salad is awesome. I am craving for my two favorites, Kani and Spicy Maguro Salad.  I love their Ebi Tempura, Chiecken Terriyaki best with Chahan rice.

Kimono Ken is a family favorite. We often go there for more budget-friendly celebratory family dinners. The tempura although rather oily is delicious. The quantity of breading used and the quality of the ingredient gives just the right amount of crispness to the flavourful shrimp. The breading to shrimp ratio is well-balanced and the size is satisfactory. Although it is probably a practice to be frowned upon by traditional japanese culture, my siblings and I like soaking our tempura in the sauce to get rid of excess oil.The chicken terriyaki is also pretty good. It combines a good blend of sweetness and saltiness. It also has this grilled after taste that delicately adds flavour to the chicken. The rice is well-cooked. The moisture, stickiness, and temperature is good. I must say that they have the best rice among all the Japanese food chains I've tried!Miso soup is served in a larger bowl than usual. The serving size is good for two. Its taste is borderline salty without sacrificing flavour. The proportions of the ingredients for the kani salad is well-balanced. The kani gives the fresh greens a sweet flavour countered by the tangy wasabi Japanese mayonnaise dressing. The Tamago is prepared well - perfectly sweet egg sashimi. The Crunchy Kani Maki, on the other hand, is my brother's favorite. Its outer layer initializes a crisp bite into the softness of the rice - cooked properly to stay intact. The kani makes a sweet and flavoursome center to the sushi. With a kick of wasabi, we can never keep this sushi off our list of orders. This branch is best enjoyed at the outside dining area where the tables have enough spacing and where the view of the park is refreshing. At a certain time of the night, you could even dazzle yourself with the view of MOA's nightly firework display. The staff is efficient and well-trained. What adds to the dining experience would be the manager's hands on appproach in engaging the customers in a lively chat to check up on how well you're enjoying your meal. This place is highly recommendable for a group of four or more.

This is a really late post since im trying to update my profile. Kimono ken if I remember correctly was just ok. Ordered some ramen and a roll. The flavors don't stand out and the noodles are not fresh. Its good if your hungry but if your expecting something extraordinary then dont even bother. Prices wont hurt your pocket so thats a plus. The area has plenty of restaurants so if you cant get a table anywhere else then get your stomachs full here. Food 2.0Everything else 3.0

Another go to place for Japanese food lovers. I really like that this particular branch is located overlooking the park in Bluebaywave. The place is big and spacious and the wait staff are friendly and accommodating. The menu prices are a bit high but the quality and the quantity of the servings are good. They have a wide range of Japanese food to choose from. So we had the ebi (shrimp) katsudon, kisu (asuhos) tempura and chahan or japanese fried rice. We also tried the Kimono Ken's Special drink and Iced Tea. The Kimono Ken's Special is a mix of different fruit juices, i think their version of a four season juice drink. The ebi katsudon is good, but i believe it could be better. The kisu tempura was really light and crispy. I was a bit disappointed that they are not anymore offering their bento meals. which i had tried many years ago. But the food still taste the same, and with so many choices to choose from, one can definitely come back again and again.

Food:We ordered quite a number of dishes but only one dish stood out as surprisingly yummy: the agedashi tofu.Service: We were there in a Saturday night at 7:30. It did not take long for our food to be served.Price: Despite the fair price, I don't like that they charge a service charge. For this, I will not likely go back. I will patronize food establishments which are honest who factor in all the fees at the menu price.
