Food 5/5Portion 3.5/5Service 5/5Cleanliness 5/5Parking 2/5Value for money 4/5First, let me emphasize that the menu posted on website as of the date of this write-up is outdated. I've been trying to search for the updated menu on the internet, but unfortunately couldn't find one; so the names of the dishes that are listed below are likewise inaccurate. (Kindly refer to the photos attached)Second, I cant believe that the present website score of this restaurant as of today is only 3.8. That's ridiculous. Impressions deserves a 5! Located at the six-star Maxims Hotel, this fancy fine dining French restaurant reminds me of BGC's L'Aubergine - but it's less expensive! To me it is the perfect place to impress your date. Its romantic ambience is ideal for special occasions such as wedding proposals or your spouse's birthday. They offer an affordable "create your own set menu":1. Starter or main course + dessert = P900++2. Starter + main course + dessert = P1,500We ordered the following (can't remember the exact names, KINDLY REFER TO PHOTOS ATTACHED):• Complimentary starter1. Tuna loin - tiny piece of tuna about the size of the tip of my pinky finger, wrapped in nori, with a little white sauce that was a perfect combination• Starters1. Scallops - must try! I was so impressed!2. Prawn salad - nothing special. Wouldn't recommend3. Cesar salad - nothing special. Wouldn't recommend. 4. Foie gras - Very impressive. I loved this dish too. The foie gras wasn't too strong. It was so good. Highly recommended. 5. Shrimp soup - super creamy and yummy!!! • Main course - THEY WERE ALL GOOD! Definitely would recommend!1. Chilean sea bass - impeccable 2. Philippine prawns - tomato based. 3. Lamb - super tender, it was soft as a salmon and I loved every inch of it!4. Prime Ribeye steak - huge piece of steak served with choice of sides and Yorkshire pudding. This was really good!• Dessert1. Flourless chocolate cake - My gold standard for flourless chocolate cake is the one from Antonio's. I'm surprised that this version surpassed my gold standard. This is now my present gold standard for flourless chocolate cake! Definitely I'd give it a perfect score!Service was impeccable. We were very well attended. I commend the staff - especially the brilliant chef who made all the amazing food! Servers were polite and efficient! Definitely six-star service! There's no reason for me not to recommend this restaurant. Without a doubt I would definitely come back and take my boyfriend here for a surprise date!

I liked their food but didn't love it. it's pretty expensive but I guess the ambience is what you paid for not the food. Their restroom is nice and clean anyway. The first thing every person should look at when going to a restaurant.

We went here for Sunday brunch and I went straight for the caviar, prime rib, lobster, scallops, foie gras and tempura. How can you not?!!! They only use the freshest and highest quality ingredients. That's for sure. It's expensive but it's all you can eat so it's still value for money. One lobster costs maybe a thousand bucks and I had three so it all evens out, right?! 😝

Impressions is one fancy french continental restaurant that delivers what it promises. The Ambiance is excellent, though it would be better if its a little bigger. The rack of lamb that we ordered was spot on, the veal had a good balance of fat and meat. The duck was cooked to perfection, its moist and still very tender. I wouldve given this restaurant a 5, what prevents me from doing so is the price.

Whenever I have trips far away from home, I make sure I step into at least two restaurants. Last night after an overwhelming trip to world renowned, Wolfgang Steak House, my friends and I had desserts here. Yes, plural form as we tried all what they offer under that category. Maxim's Impressions is a fine dining hub mostly visited by hotel guests. The review on their real food has to wait as we only made a trip here to satisfy our clamor for sugar. We had five kinds, with the wait staff giving us a freebie while we wait. I guess the freebie somehow appeased from an almost an hour wait as each dessert slowly trickle in. There wasn't so much guest. Anyway the free dessert came with a variety of sorts- a deliciously made tart, meringue, crushed oreos, strawberry and wonderful chocolate with caramel shaped in toque. This was my pick that night. Am not sure what qualifies to receive this. The next one that excited my senses was the Minestrone. First time to witness a soup variation of dessert. So there's a mix of fresh fruits, nice red velvet pieces and a cold cheese like spectacle as it center. They present this then pout the berry tasting liquid. Must have, quite a unique experience. Go for their Flourless Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream too. This very rich piece is perfect for chocolate die hards. The blend was sweet just right and a hint of dark. Their Vanilla Souffle came last. Somehow understandable for the nature of this dish. It takes a long time to get it to bake and puff up. Their version had a light welcoming taste with really fluffy features. Pairing it with Dark Chocolate makes it worthy of your attention. The ice cream was well made.

Was not impressed with Impressions :P I took my parents here for Christmas brunch buffet last year and I was pretty disappointed. When I made my reservation the staff told us to be in semi-formal wear, but when we arrived everyone was just in shorts and slippers. For 3k a head the food variety wasn't that great. I only remember liking their lobster bisque and that was it. Their bathrooms were very unkempt too! A bit of a rip-off, if you ask me :P

Best buffet in Manila!!! Must try!!! Food selections are not so many but every each plate are so quality👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Foie Gras are great! Salmon sashimi are fresh and fat, grilled beef tastes so good. They also have caviar 😊 lobsters, oyster, crabs...the juices are made of FRESH fruits and without sugar. They only Have buffet every Sunday lunch. Needs reservation at least 1 week before because sometime they don't accept walk-in client 😁 Super recommended restaurant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I love that the place is quiet and cozy and the servers are very attentive. Being attentive is one thing, but it is also important to know exactly whats on the menu, how it is done and what its made of. Well, at least I would expect that from a fine dining resto. The price is reasonable. The portions are good and filling. You can create your own set menu for php950++ for appetizer or main + dessert OR for php1500++ for appetizer+main+dessert. :-)
