Chicken Cravings Gone For GoodIf you have an amorous affair with fried chicken then for sure you’ll love Chickilicious. This newly opened international chicken steak and tea shop originated in Taiwan. It has managed to grow their chicken empire in Taiwan and pretty soon in my opinion we will see more Chickilicious shops all over the country. Why? Read on why I am giving this joint a rating of 4.5 stars.FOOD- 5 StarsChickilicious MOA has managed to perfect the art of cooking and preparing huge chunky chicken fillet. The chicken serving is very BIG that it fills up the whole plate and the best part is it is also good for sharing. Chicken fillet is carefully seasoned using imported spice mix from Taiwan. What’s good about it is that with every bite you can taste the special marinate mix that is deeply embedded within the meat. These deeply fried Chickilicious fillets have a distinct taste- citrusy, aromatic flavors that are not too empowering. This could probably be the secret behind the unique flavor and aroma- love it so much with every bits and pieces. Although food here is deeply fried, the perfect temperature and timing ensure that it would come out great without oiliness or greasy taste.The special flavoring on top (dry herb mix or sauce) differentiates each Chickilicious dish. Here is what we ordered:(1) Golden Fried Chickilicious- Super large deeply fried chicken fillet-is a winner. Our little boy feast on it and even asked to save the other half for his baon at school. Yummy, tender and crispy. Must try! 5 STARS(2) Chickilicious in Basil Salt- this was recommended by the cashier as one of Chickilicious bestsellers. The fried crispy chicken fillet is covered in a dry rub of basil and salt with a bit of pepper. The basil flavor is mild which is very good but it lacks crispiness. 4 STARS (3) BBQ Chickilicious- Again, super large fillet golden fried and drizzled with barbeque flavored sauce. Great fried chicken which is crispy and tender too but having it without the sauce is good enough. 4.5 STARS(4) Choco Demon Chickilicious- Sounds intriguing- not sure when we ordered this if I am going to eat this or not. This is the first time I’ve eaten meat with chocolate on it and I tell you it was amazing. MUST TRY- 5 STARS(5) Chickilicious Fries- Perfectly fried and huge servings too. 5 STARS(6) Chicken skin- crunchy, yummy and tasty. Perfect! 5 STARS(7) Crunchy Taiwan Squid- great tasting and golden fried. 5 STARS(7) Drinks- we ordered 3 kinds- the Taiwan Ultra Lemon Juice, Taro Rainbow Jelly Milk Tea and Earl Grey Diamond Pearl Milk Tea. All of them are great and it would really depend on your craving. BTW, they prepare their drinks fresh upon ordering. 5 STARSChickilicious Final Verdict-The 4.5 star rating is based on the food alone. I could definitely recommend Chickilicious since it offers great tasting chicken at affordable prices. You could never go wrong when ordering since Chickilicious has good food. Chicken pieces are meticulously selected to certain standard and weight. The flavor of the chicken is very addicting and the way they fry it is perfectly golden crispy.

I literally am addicted to taiwanese fried chicken. I ate the real taiwanese fried chicken last december in taiwan and I cant help but remember that it is exactly the same as the one being served at this establishment.try the Golden Fried Chickilicious in black pepper or basil salt seasoning, or the Crispy lemonade chickilicious in black pepper seasoning, Special Fried tofu in basil salt or Black Pepper seasoning, and the crispy century egg in black pepper seasoning.Because of the variety of drinks they offer, I suggest you try them all because the taste is still similar to the one in taiwan.As I write this review, I am also drooling and it makes me hungry and crave for this food... makapunta nga ngayon. hihi

There was so much hype on this place, I just HAD to try it out. Spoiler alert: Somewhat unsatisfied.First of all, the place was not that clean. You can feel the grime on the table, and there were fruit flies all around. Now for the food: The size of the "XXL" chicken was THIIIIS big. (Please refer to the photo. PS: it's an iPhone 6s) I wasn't that impressed with the serving size, because when you talk about XXL chicken, you can't help but compare new places to Hot Star Chicken because that's like the standard in terms of size. I ordered their BBQ flavored chicken and it tasted pretty good. Another good thing about this place is their unlimited rice promo with every chicken meal. They also have several unique menu items like century egg and refreshing tea drinks. Everything is reasonably priced.I was ultimately turned off by the flies and their chicken size. I'd consider coming back only if they clean the place up.
