Probably the most expensive, un appetizing breakfast I've ever had. 700 pesos for sub-par everything, coffee, bread, oily scrambled eggs, service. Don't pay for this!

It's my first time to try the Buffet Dinner at Cafe Belmont. At P990nett per person, I was able to enjoy their South East Asian Themed Buffet Dinner. Their Laksa was okay, not the best one I have tasted. What I enjoyed the most is their stir fried spare ribs and honey glazed chicken. It was both so good! Their ala carte order of Salmon Sinigang is a must try too. The Sinigang was served in a huge bowl and the serving is actually good for 4. Though their dessert section is rather limited, I enjoyed their Lemon Cake and honey dew as it refreshed my palette from all the greasy stuff I have eaten.I think their Buffet is fairly priced. The ambience is nice and they have excellent and very accommodating staff.

Good food but very POOR service. Few staff around to serve, even for a coffee takes as much as 30 mins to serve. A meal can take as much as 45 mins to 1 hour or even more! Service water can take 5-10 mins to serve. Tsk...

To those who always eat out with family and friends inside malls, or in fast-food restaurants, please try eating inside hotel restaurants too. Here is an example of our dining experience, and here are some reasons why you should try:We were just going round and round inside Newport mall since we almost ate at the good restos there. So we tried eating inside a hotel restaurant. Belmont is a nice hotel, with friendly and accommodating staff at their doorstep and inside the resto itself. The restaurant is welcome to everyone, even walk-ins like us. The restaurant caters to more than 100 guests, but at that moment (weekend dinner), they were just accommodating 4 parties (including us). Anyway, we ordered the following:Seared Salmon Fillet (390.-) Green tea and sesame seed coated Norwegian salmon fillet in beurre blanc sauce served with poached haricot, carrots and steamed rice. Lechon Kawali (360.-) Popular Filipino pork belly dish, simmered til tender then deep-fried until golden and crispy. Perfect with chicken liver sauce. Blue Marlin Steak (390.-) Pan grilled and accompanied with mango salsa and garlic rice. The items that we ordered were perfectly cooked, well seasoned, served hot and last but not the least, matches its price. Would ce back for the Salmon - it's crispy skin and not overcooked meat. Again, please try to dine in at hotel restaurants! More spacious and almost-noise free! Like dining-in with class lol. ✌🏻️😊

Cafe Belmont is Belmont Hotel's flagship restaurant, where the breakfast buffet is set up. Green and deep mocha chairs are paired per table. It was almost empty during our visit, save for 4 other patrons occupying 2 other tables. Interiors were standard hotel finish, but lacking some warmth in some blank walls since it has no natural source of light.

There really is something about staycations that alleviates all the stress from your mind, and allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the real world.. even if it is just for one night. Even before we became bloggers, Rina and I would enjoy booking a room in a hotel in the metro, and enjoying a relaxing time in our room, without a care in the world.

The F&B Manager (Reynold) provided BEYOND excellent service. He has this ability to connect with people and understand his customers’ needs and go out of his way to ensure that these needs are met.We had dinner here on a Saturday night to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Despite a blooper with the Dealgrocer vouchers (completely MY ignorant mistake and not the fault of Belmont), Reynold was able to remedy the situation, which ended up with my mom having such a wonderful birthday at Cafe Belmont. The food and ambiance were good and there was a live band while we were there. For the food, I would’ve rated this a 4.0, but because of the excellent staff service (under the leadership of Reynold), I am rating this a 5.0 because service is of prime importance in the hotel & restaurant industry and for that we are definitely coming back to Cafe Belmont.

I am unsure if it was just because we booked on a weekend that we found ourselves being overwhelmed by the overcrowded facilities of Belmont hotel. It was upsetting to realize that we had to queue up for the buffet breakfast. The line extended up to the elevator then to the lobby a few mins after. We were able to be seated 20 minutes before the buffet ended. The food spread didn’t do so much to appease our disappointment with everything that we have been experiencing. There weren’t a lot of choices. The chicken I got tasted old. The only ones that tasted good were the muffins.

For the price of Php500 for a Sunday lunch buffet, this place is definitely worth visiting. At the time of our visit, there was Mongolian buffet (beef, pork and chicken. Veggies such as carrots, cabbage, chinese pechay, button mushrooms, young corn, onions, bell peppers, green chilis, bean sprouts. Sauces like oriental, hoisin, seaame oil, teriyaki, spicy), vegetable soup, steamed rice, pata tim, fish fillet and vegetable medley. There was also several types of bread (ciabatta, french bread, ube bread, ensaymada) and butter, fresh fruits and salads. The place is also cozy and has a peaceful interior. 2-thumbs up for this!
