Word is they source their seafood from the famous Tsukiji market in Tokyo and it shows! I love their wide selection of exquisite sushi and sashimi. I will definitely come back for more (when I already have the budget for it again. Lol.)

We went here for their Sunday buffet and we were bowled over by both the food and the service.Everything was fresh and authentic, it seems like I was transported back to Japan. It will be very hard to eat in another Japanese restaurant after this. But more admirable is the level of their service. The staffs were attentive yet unobtrusive - something that is difficult to achieve yet when done to you, you can’t help but feel that you are in the hands of professionals.Kudos especially to Sheila, Joshua and Shanine for pampering us with their ’secret’ cocktails. We will definitely come back.It is worth everything. And more.

I ate here with my chairman n co resident for lunch, the place really nice, fast respond from the waiter's, with the bay as our view from our table. The sushi was so fresh , all food taste really good. A bit pricy though, but really nice dining experience

We just had our brunch here today and I had mixed emotions. Food was really great, no questions ask. All Japanese food though. I love their grilled salmon amd tuna. There was also an area where you can make your own ramen. My wife loved the dessert area. If you will compare it to the other buffet restaurants, their dessert was quality.But.. I was very disappointed with their poor service. Reggie, who was the waiter serving us didn't really do much of a job. We ordered our steaks ahead of the other table but they got their steaks arrived first. We also requested for a water and it took very long. We had to get it ourselves.Another disappointing was when they cleared our table without our consent. We just went to get for a dessert, and when we came back..our table was clean. We still had food and steaks on our plates. And there you go.. we had to re-order again the food that they took and we had to wait another round for their poor service. "Nakakawala ng gana". You paid for that amount, and they don't give you the service you deserve. It was not worth it though. If it weren't for their poor service, and the staff's lack of awareness and attentiveness, I would have rated them 5 star.

Thank you Sirs Dave and BJ, specially Ms. Alpha for giving me and my husband a wonderful experience during our brunch today. Sir BJ patiently ran errands for our steak and religiously cleaned our tables of used plates. Sir Dave proactively gave us our surprise anniversary cake and sincerely greeted us. Most of all Ms. Alpha did an awesome job introducing us to authentic wasabi, attending to all our requests! It was a busy day for the restaurant but she remained warm, friendly and accommodating. These 3 give us more reasons to come back and dine at Yakumi! Many thanks!

This was the only restaurant in Solaire I have yet to dine in. And last Monday, I took it out of my list and bookmarked it for future revisits. Yakumi refers to condiments, like wasabi, ginger, or green onion. There are many kinds and Japanese food, in general, uses them to heighten the taste of their dishes. Even for aesthetic purposes, Yakumi maximizes spices to bring color and contrast to their meals. It was mostly Teishoku or bento boxes for our team on this sponsored trip. I find it an ideal set-up given that there are so many appetizing Japanese offerings. It’s like a small buffet spread in front of you.I got the premium Matsu variety at Php 2,080. There are, however, more affordable options, as these sets start at Php 790. My meal had crispy Tempura; melt in your mouth, Chilean Sea Bass Teriyaki; fresh Tuna, Salmon, Tanigue and Kampachi sashimis with sweet Prawn; Beef Roll with veggies; sweet omelette; steamed rice; warm miso soup and the dessert of the day which was Coffee Pannacotta with homemade, Chocolate Ice Cream. On top of my truly satisfying order, our group shared a sweet and savory bowl of Gyunabe Hotpot, more popularly known as Sukiyaki. Watch out for its generous tender cuts of beef. Thank you, Yakumi and Solaire for having me on this gourmet Japanese trip. I will be seeing you again.
