It was a warm Tuesday morning when we set out on another website Food Crawl and our agenda for today is to discover restaurants along BF Homes in Paranaque. One of the first few notable restaurant along President's Ave in front of Tahanan Village is Urban Farm. People often suggest avoiding the first few things you see but that’s not the case for Urban Farm because it's probably one of. The main concept behind this restaurant is clean, healthy food packed with a lot of flavor. Non health buffs often avoid these types of restaurants because of the misconception that their food is bland and unpalatable since we derive most of the flavors we love from unhealthy sources like artificial ingredients or things loaded with empty calories. Urban Farm aims to clear this unfair notion by offering food that both healthy and flavorful which can convince even the unhealthiest eater to turn a new leaf. This green living concept intertwines with the decor of the restaurant largely due to the green accents in the decor and the furniture. It also has a rustic and relaxed feel which is perfect especially since it's in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. Here’s the rundown:‣‣Creamy Beets Borscht: I hope i spelled this right lol. This thick burgundy/purple soup was truly unique and challenged the tastebuds because of the mix of sweet, creamy, and sour flavors. This flavor combination was strange at first because it didn’t feel right but after a few more sips i captivated. This soup was almost milky-creamy as well as fruity with a sour aftertaste which came from the pureed beets.‣Shrimp Pesto Pasta: This pasta was almost like the lovechild of a pesto pasta and and carbonara. The chef explained that went for this direction he wanted the dish to look more palatable especially to discriminating customers who avoid pesto because of its earthy green color. The linguine pasta was cooked al dente while the sauce was creamy yet still maintained that identifiable fragrant flavor of the basil. The shrimp was cooked well yet had a strong fishy flavor which i didn’t quite like. This dish could’ve stood out more if the flavors were a little bit stronger but overall, it was an alright dish.‣‣‣Baked Aubergine: It’s kinda funny that while we were eating everyone was like “pass the eggplant lasagna” not knowing that this dish wasn’t lasagna at all. It actually consists of layers of breaded aubergine slices and a chunky tomato sauce with melted cheese. Don’t let that description fool you, this dish can easily give even the meatiest lasagnas a run for its money. Oftentimes, eggplant dishes can easily be soggy yet even if this dish was baked with the sauce, the slices of eggplant were able to keep their shape and remain crispy. The tomato sauce stood out the most because the middle eastern spices incorporated into the sauce. Even though this dish was composed of vegetables it was perfectly filling and was absolutely delicious thanks to the bold tomato based sauce and the layer of savory cheese on top. Its also a great alternative to the empty carbs of the lasagna pasta and the cholesterol ridden meat sauce.‣‣‣Grilled Salmon with Tomato Salsa: This dish was probably the highlight of the entire meal for me. This dish was pretty simple and straightforward just grilled salmon with a spoonful of salsa and a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. I was really impressed with the cook of the fish which was juicy, tender, sweet, and smoky without a hint of fishiness. The mashed potatoes were also great and tasted like the real thing while the vegetables were crisp and buttery. The chef explained that they really tried to eliminate that fishiness of the fish so that everyone can enjoy the dish and discover a healthier meat option. There were no other fancy rubs or glazers added to this fish other than the sweet salsa on the side, yet it stood out because of the finesse in the execution and the perfect balance of flavors of the dish.‣‣Shiitake Mushroom Burger: Mushroom burgers are often a hit-or-miss because the mushroom patty has the tendency to be bland or people always compare it to meat yet this was an absolute hit that would make you forget about your meat craving. I really like that they didn’t try to produce a mimic meat type patty and actually utilize the umami flavor and the tenderness of mushrooms. This also had the chunky tomato sauce similar to the one in the baked aubergine dish which had a strong tangy taste and great flavors which complimented the patty.Beverages:‣‣House Blend Ice Tea: This fruity and refreshing iced tea was infused with mint which invigorated my taste buds and set the right mood for the entire meal.‣‣‣Strawberry Mint Smoothie: Much like their House Blend Ice Tea, this one also had mint leaves as their highlight ingredients and the cooling flavor of the mint amplified the sweet and sour flavor of strawberries. Although this smoothie looked quite thick and heavy it was absolutely light and had just the right amount of sweetness.‣Lean Green Smoothie: Not as intensely flavored as the Strawberry Smoothie but the light and refreshing flavor of the cucumber was a perfect palate cleanser in between the strong flavored dishes that we had.Overall, the Urban Farm has a great advocacy and equally great food. I really liked the enthusiasm of their Head Chef over their food and they way that he treats his staff like his team mates. The service was also great as the servers were attentive and polite. Their dishes are appropriately sized for their portions and they offer sunday brunch buffets which include some of the dishes in this review. This restaurant is absolutely perfect for weekend brunches with the family or if you just crave for healthy and delicious comfort food.

The Urban Farm is an organic restaurant in BF Homes Parañaque and is located near Tahanan Village, making the place accessible for those who live near the area. It's atmosphere is clean and simple. I like the garden-themed interiors, it somehow soothes me. The quotes on the wall were also a nice touch. The restaurant may not catch much attention to some, since most Filipinos that I know look for, satisfying burgers, steaks, and pasta that's both filling and guilty to eat. Well, The Urban Farm isn't that kind of place but I guarantee you that they offer similar satisfying foods with just a healthy twist that could actually convince your mind to actually change your overall lifestyle. This was our first stop to our website BF Homes Food Crawl, and I'm glad that everything we had was filling yet light in the stomach. We had the,FOOD➿Citrus Salad ➿ (219 php)[ lettuce, grilled pineapple, Mandarin oranges, grapes, cherry tomatoes in balsamic vinaigrette, topped with fried calamari and alfalfa sprouts ]- The fruits and vegetables used were very fresh and they still had a great crunch to it even when already tossed in the dressing. Overall, I like the sweet and tangy flavors from it.➿Creamy Beets Borscht ➿ (249 php)- The broth itself was sour with a subtle sweetness. It's a soup that's both delicious and nutritious! Perfect for sharing.➿Baked Aubergine➿ (159 php)[Aubergine, tomato sauce, cheese]- The Baked Aubergine was really enjoyable. I was surprised that there wasn't any meat in it. I like the tangy tomato sauce together with the salty cheese. Definitely could be a healthy replacement for lasagna.➿ Shrimp Pesto Pasta ➿(199 php)- The pasta was al dente. The pesto cream was light and the basil flavor really stood out. The shrimps were also very flavorful.➿ Grilled Salmon with Tomato Salsa ➿ (339 php)[comes with mashed potato and buttered greens]- The grilled salmon was seasoned perfectly but, it was a bit over cooked for my liking. I like the tomato salsa though, it was really helpful in giving the fish some freshness and extra moisture.➿ Shiitake Malunggay Burger ➿ (170 php)[Comes with sweet potato chips]- Who knew you could make a beautiful burger without meat? I could eat this burger all day without the guilt! Flavors were good and it had the same textures just like an ordinary burger.DRINKS *All sweetened with raw honey➿Iced Tea➿ (210 php)[ The Urban Farm's house made iced tea]- Simple yet refreshing➿ Lean Green Smoothie ➿ (160 php)[ topped with Chia seeds ]- All the nutrition you need in one drink!➿ Fresh Strawberry Mint ➿ (180 php)[topped with Chia seeds ]- Good flavor of fresh strawberries with a nice hint of mint.Overall, my dining experience in The Urban Farm was great. Price is reasonable for what you get since you not only pay for the food, but for the nutrition as well. The Urban Farm is now one of my ideal places to dine guiltlessly and feel confident about eating food. Hope to come back very soon.

The first stop on our website food trip in BF led us to Urban Farm, which is fanous for its farm- to table options that include artisan dishes. Their menu highlights fresh and seasonal fruits and vegetables. Urban Farm offer unique, healthy food for diners seeking out new dining experiences. It is definitely the best out of the few healthy restaurants in the area. Many people now turn to healthy food on their dinner plate as solution to cure illnesses and rightfully so.Urban Farm's menu encourages eating more whole grains, nuts, herbs and vegetables, while reducing intake of less salt-laden food. Our meals starters were Creamy Beets Borcht (P 249) and Citrus Salad. Since fresh food has so much flavor chefs often choose to serve it as simply as possible, just in the Creamy Beets Borcht. The Citrus Salad's ingredients were served raw with just the fresh orange juice to flavor it naturally. There is nothing better than a sliced homegrown cherry tomatoes, plus the natural citrus flavors to make the greens intensely delicious.Next, we had Shrimp Pesto Pasta (P 199), Baked Aubergine (P 159), Shiitake Malungay Burgers (P 170), and Grilled Salmon with Tomato Salsa (P 339).Their take on pesto pasta was the best I'd had so far. And I enjoyed the lean cut of Grilled Salmon. The salmon was moist and soft. It went well with the mashed potato side dish. For drinks, they served Iced Tea (P 210), Lean Green Smoothie (P 160) and Fresh Strawberry Mint (P 180).

I just wanted to do a food crawl in BF Homes Parañaque, ever since because that area is a two hour ride from Quezon City. "Malayo from my place! 😢When I heard the news that we will do a restaurant hopping in that area. Bingo! What an excitement?... 🙌🏼Our first stop is The Urban Farm Restaurant, offering a fresh from the farm cuisine. Yes, it is organic! You will never missed this place once you're in BF Parañaque because of the big signage outside. Inside, the interior is very earthly they have lots of greens and other beautiful artsy crafts. THE FOOD🍆Grilled Salmon with Tomato Salsa for Php339.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5"The salmon was so fresh when they served it. The salsa compliments with the salmon too."🍆Baked Aubergine for Php159.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5"This one is too flavorful and I love it, I thought I was eating a lasagna that time until the chef told us the main ingredients. Surprisingly, it's made of eggplant."🍆Shiitake Malungay Burger for Php170.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5"Although it was cold already when we ate the burger, but it's still tasty."🍆Shrimp Pesto Pasta for Php199.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5"One of my favorites during our visit, the flavor was too addicting. The creaminess of the pesto pasta will tell that I need to get more. Lolz 😂"🍆Creamy Beets Borscht for Php249.00- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5"Amazing! How can a simple red vegetable turned into a delicious soup? It taste sour but the soup was so good. Best served when it's still hot."🍆Citrus Salad for Php219.00 - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5"Very refreshing. And it was so lite that makes your appetite boost for a heavy meal."Honestly, I don't want to go in a restaurant offering organic food/ dishes because most of them tasted bland. But this restaurant change my thought about the organic or fresh from the farm restaurant concept. The Urban Farm's dishes were too flavorful. And MASARAP! 😋👏🏻#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️Ken Lingling Audrey Lingling Janela Franzin Apolinar website China China

This is a feel good place with a super neat and clean feels. They serve guiltless pleasures that spoils the palate without the dreadful add on calories. Knowing that they have a Sunday buffet and a rotational menu is exciting. The food served to us is less expensive compared to other organic health restaurant we previously tried. I am amazed by their food and their hands on chef willing to go outside the kitchen to assist their customers. This is a feel good place that will make you look at the writings on the wall. Full of positive energy. On to the food! :)Top Picks:1. Baked Eggplant - This really fooled me. Replacing pasta with eggplant is not only less carbs but gives additional fiber to the diet. I can finish two.2. Mushroom Burger - Wow! The umami in the mushroom is enough to fool my carnivore tongue. Out of curiosity I dissected the patty and surprised with malunggay, quinoa seeds and arugula inside the patty. The tomato sauce used is fresh tomatoes pureed. I also love its bread.3. Grilled Salmon with Mash Potato - The slightly charred salmon is cooked well and compliments the mash potato. Their mashed potato is made of real potatoes.4. Creamy beats borcht - I don't like beats but this is an exception. Tasty, Creamy, Yum yum.Its a real great experience eating here without guilt but satisfied. I would like to bring my carnivore friends here and see their reaction. :)

I would often notice this quaint restaurant in front of the Tahanan Village gate. Judging from its classy sign and the clean simple design, it clearly says it is meant for the healthy natural eaters. One would associate healthy to expensive yet small portioned servings. Since I've decided to go on a much healthuer route, The Urban Farm makes that transition to the healthy lane incredibly delightful and easy. What surprised me is that they have hearty offerings that won't break your wallet! Plus they have Chef Specials to give a a break to the usual appetizing dishes their loyal patrons enjoy. The Summer Citrus Salad (P219) is refreshing, with fried calamari served with the balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Vegetable game is indeed strong! The lettuces are still crunchy and cherry tomatoes are fresh. I appreciate the chunks of pomelo and oranges scattered throughout. This dish does bring in the summer zest! We were served a Chef's Special soup, the Creamy Beets Borscht (P249), very popular in Eastern European cuisines. The distinctive bright pink color comes from the beets. It has this engaging almost cheese-like taste, which, the chef explained, was brought about by the mirepoix of vegetables he has included to make the dish even more palatable. Their Shrimp Pesto Pasta (P199) was served al dente and not dry at all, due to the creamy base. It was served with shrimps on top and whole wheat bread on the side. Very filling indeed. I enjoyed the Grilled Salmon with Tomato Salsa and Mashed Potatoes (P339). The salmon was perfect. The tomato salsa lends a vibrant flavorful zing to every mouthful. I just felt that the mashed potatoes were not entirely a match for this dish. I would have preferred crisp roasted potatoes or grilled corn tossed with herbs and tomatoes as a companion to the salmon.I am not a fan of eggplant but the Baked Aubergine (P159) proved to be a favorite. There was enough cheese and sauce for the dish making it very delectable. I had seconds! The very delightful meal was washed down with invigorating drinks - their House blend ice tea (P210) which had a tinge of mint, the Lean Green Smoothie (P160) made from cucumber, spinach and honey dew, topped with Chia seeds, and lastly, the Fresh Strawberry Mint Smoothie (P180), served with a sprig of mint leaves and Chia seeds too. All of their drinks are sweetened naturally with honey. I absolutely love The Urban Farm's design concept. The bright green walls and the garden theme was prominent. The towering trellis in the middle serves as the focal point for the restaurant. They also have a sweets corner for their oatmeal cookies and pastries and another corner for wine and organic chips and munchies. Unfortunately, I was not able to taste their bestseller Shiitake-Malunggay Burger. A meatless burger deserves another trip to The Urban Farm, I suppose.I highly recommend this for family lunches and dinners, or a very Tita-ish get-together with your girlfriends. Plus they have a P300-Sunday Lunch buffet! They can also cater parties or events for 70 to 100 pax. The restaurant fits 70 people, and if you want a healthy hearty menu for your next event, give The Urban Farm catering a try.

So our journey to Paranaque with my co-foodies took us here at The Urban Farm. The first thing I noticed when I entered is the interior has a calming effect to me. The light colors of green and white was very clean to the eyes. Thr slight garden setup was not bad also. A Good way to start with your meal right? For the food, they presented us with a healthy menu. Good thing about that is that they have a Chef's Special Menu which changes every week that depends with the customers liking also.So here are the dishes we tried.😀😍😆😄😅😃🙂😐😑SUMMER CITRUS SALAD has a good crunch from its vegetables and also to the fried calamari making it enjoyable to eat. The fruits was refreshing as well especially the oranges.😄BAKED AUBERIGNE had me really! At first I thought it has meat in it but was really made with eggplants. Honestly, it tasted vetter with the other lasagnas I've eaten. Greatly recommended!😍SHRIMP PESTO PASTA was also great. Its pesto flavor was not overpowering and the pasta itself was cooked well. You can really taste the shrimp flavor in the dish and it is well blended.😆CREAMY BEETS BORSCHT was a new dish for me. I like how the flavor is light and makes you finish eating it. The sour flavor was just right and balanced by its creaminess.😄SHIITAKE MALUNGGAY BURGER has that rich meaty flavor in it but it is not made of meat? Very healthy approach for a food that is mostly eaten by meat lovers. You will be fooled by its taste and I recommend this.😄GRILLED SALMON WITH TOMATO SALSA has a well seasoned salmon with a side of mashed potato. The vegetables was nicely cooked especially the carrots. I love its texture.😃Their drink LEAN GREEN SMOOTHIE made of cucumber was a great palate cleanser and has a right sweetness in them.😄Overall experience was great! their food were amazing and the staffs are very accomodating and friendly. The chef was very nice introducing his team in creating their food. Really appreciated that. Though a bit far from the north, would definitely come back here if given a chance again.😉👍🌱🍄🍖

To be honest, I am not a fan of healthy good foods. But there’s inside of me saying I have to give them a try, so I did. The last time I remember, is I am there sitting, looking at the menu. My eyes were rolling since the ambiance reminds me of my dad *because he loves green*. And it’s kinda relaxing and I feel like I’m home.I ordered Cheese Sticks for my starter. The cheese sticks are made of breaded mozzarella fritters with salsa dip, and I recommend you to order this. Every stick is stuffed with so much cheese, complimented with the sweet and sour salsa dip. I also tried their Pasta Salmone and I will be very biased because I love salmons. If you are planning to eat this alone, then you have to think twice. The serving might look small, but it was so heavy you might feel full already. This meal is good for two or three, enjoy this with your loved ones! For my main dish, I ordered Fried Chicken. I was actually thinking of an ordinary fried chicken, until I tried this one. The best part here is that their fried chicken is a healthy one. They used different kind of oil for frying, and a different process in cooking too. They assured us that all we are eating are healthy, and I was amazed because they tasted just the same fried chicken I was expecting. For my drinks, I had fresh Apple and Watermelon shakes as well as a Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake for my dessert.ADDITIONI revisited Urban Farm yesterday and as expected, I was impressed. Pesto is my favorite this time, and I love the Baked eggplant too. I actually thought it was Lasagna.Overall, I was satisfied with the great service and good food. A must try if you are looking for healthy ways to enjoy your food. Full review on psst.ph

I'd give a 6 if I could! The foods here are healthy and delicious. The most memorable for me was the grilled salmon with tomato salsa, the salmon is very flavorful and perfectly cooked; it complimented the side mashed potato and sautéed vegetables. Everything I tasted was fresh and delicious, it was a farm to table experience. I will definitely bring my friends here.

Our trip to the south brought us to The Urban Farm where eating great equates to eating healthy. They serve organic foods that it good for you and doesn't break your wallet, which is good news to all of us.They have nice and simple garden-themed interiors that surely sets a refreshing feeling for diners. The crew were very attentive and very helpful to its diners. For the food, we were presented by the current Chef's Special. It's their menu that goes on rotation every week. Some of the items though were well loved by patrons that they stick to their regular menu. So here's what we had for today:- Summer Citrus Salad (219 php)- Creamy Beets Borcht (249 php)- Shrinp Pesto Pasta (199 php)- Shitake Malunggay Burger (170 php)- Grilled Salmon with Tomato Salsa and Mashed Potatoes (339 php)- Baked Aubergine (159 php)- House Blend Iced Tea (210 php per pitcher)- Lean Green Smoothie (160 php)- Fresh Mint Strawberry Smoothie (180 php)The Creamy Beets has the authentic root veggie taste that's not so bad IMHO. The Pesto pasta was al dente and it was well seasoned. The Grilled Salmon was very good! A definite favorite. I wish we have the option for other sides aside from the mashed potatoes. The House Blend Iced Tea was great as well as the smoothies. All drinks were honey sweetened so thats a plus health factor. The verdict? Trying out The Urban Farm will give you a different perspective on eating healthy without sacrificing taste and budget. A definite must-try for the family or if you want a healthy alternative.
