I'm a website living in metro south (Las Pinas City) and I have been checking out restaurants, cafes and coffee shops around Alabang, Las Pinas and Paranque. I have blogged a few bars and restaurants here in BF Aguirre Paranaque and I was invited to a fellow blogger to review The Swiss Deli Restaurant. It was dinner time and all the meals that were served to us makes us all full and our stomach had no room for any more food that night. Why? Here are the foods that we had that night. Bread with Cheese Fondue, kids and grown-ups will surely love this. For 600 pesos your Cheese Fondue has Swiss Appenzeller, Emmrnthal and Gruyene Cheese. Please don't ask what are these kind of cheese, all I can say is that, this is a flavorful kind of cheese fondue. Sausage Platter for 390 pesos. You get to have 4 kinds of Sausage (all imported). One of my favs. Marinated Beef Ribs with Mashed Potato and Green Salad for 300 pesos. This tender beef with light sauce is really delicious. I love beef so this one is really a must-try dish.Pork Knuckle or Crispy Pata for only 385 pesos. A delectable meal that is first to finish by our group. Who doesn't love Crispy Pata anyway? lol.Chicken Zurich Style for 210 pesos only. Yes! this is really affordable and yet the serving is for 2 persons.Salmon with White Wine Sauce for 345 pesos.Aglio E Olio for 260 pesos. Cooked in olive oil and garlic topped with mixed seafood. One of the best Aglio Olio I've ever tasted. Watermelon Cooler, a non-alcoholic drink for 100 pesos. We had 4 different kinds of heavenly dessert. First is bread pudding, second is Apple Struded, 3rd is Bread pudding with Vanilla ice cream, this dessert is a mixture of hot and cold. And the last one is Caramel Cake. Each one cost around 120 pesos.Cheese with herbs. This one has a rich taste. Not a fan actually, however what I did is I put it on a bread.Everyone is busy eating!Different imported beers for a very affordable price.Imported goods such as cheese, cookies, breads, and other condiments are also for sale. They also sell cold products. Meats and sausages. Thank you Swiss Deli for making us full that night. Thank you Chef Jeffry for joining us. I will definitely go back here and will bring my family and friends with me, soon!

Wow, where do i begin! **LONG POST AHEAD, SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM FOR FOOD REVIEW HEHEI'm not much of a European cuisine type of gal but i do know cheese is yummy and i like cheese on anything. When my friend invited me for a website meet up, I knew i couldn't resist! And aside from the free food, i really had a much greater time than i expected! It was a really refreshing experience to be guided by the owner himself of exactly what we were eating. It made the whole experience more personal, more meaningful. Mr. Jeff is one of the most down to earth business owners i know. No doubt. He even gave us take out of their packed sausages! About the food:- The cheese fondue was huge, and i suggest you eat it with a group of friends. - The garden salad was a refreshing alternative to all the strong tastes of the cheeses. - The pork knucle was just top notch, it's like our local crispy pata with a touch of europe! Haha- The raclette grill would have to be my favorite because it. Was. Just. Soooo. Good. MORE CHEESE!- Aglio e olio with mixed seafood was the perfectly tossed with all the garlicy flavors you can imagine!- The sausage platter was overhwhelming because everything was so tasty and just so delicious!!!!- For drinks we had their cucumber lemonade which was as refreshing as its garden salad, lol!- And for dessert we had the chocolate fondue and apple strudel. I was almost too full to eat more at this point, but we always have room for dessert!Needless to say, i was a huge ball of all kinds of full after this meal. Actually, I find myself daydreaming about the cheeses, the chocolate fondue and more cheeses...

When the Cheese Fondue was brought to our table, I can smell the aroma as bubbly melted cheese was served in a pot over a small burner. I felt like a kid again as I excitedly dipped the long-stemmed fork with bread onto the warm concoction of Swiss appenzeler, emmenthal, gruyere cheese and wine (you have an option to order this without the wine). This is a perfect treat for a cheese lover like me!We had 2 kinds of salads—Swiss Sausage and Cheese Salad and Mediterranean Pasta Salad. The first salad, Swiss Sausage and Cheese Salad is made of seasonal greens, and numerous slices of Swiss sausage and gruyere cheese. The flavors of both sausage and cheese complement each other. On the other hand, Mediterranean Pasta Salad is composed of seasonal greens, tube pasta and loads of tuna chunks served with Italian dressing. This is really filling and the tuna is appetizing. We also had Aglio E Olio with Mixed Seafood. Swiss Deli Restaurant used tube pasta and topped it with seafood for their take of this classic pasta cooked in olive oil and garlic.Of course, never leave Swiss Deli Restaurant without ordering their Sausage Platter, consisting of veal bratwurst, Hungarian sausage, frankfurter and English beef banger. Among the four, my favorite is the frankfurter (really tasty!) while I find the Hungarian sausage too spicy. You can also dip these sausage slices on the cheese fondue for an added food adventure!Among those that Chef Jeffry Lua recommends for the main dishes is the Marinated Beef Ribs. The succulent beef ribs is cooked in flavourful sauce and served with mashed potato.Next is the Salmon. The white wine sauce complements the perfectly grilled salmon. It is served with spatzle. Spatzle is a soft egg noodles or dumplings traditionally used as side dish.Another must-try is Chicken “Zurich Style”. It is bite-size slices of chicken breast cooked in creamy mushroom sauce and served with English fries. This is my favorite main dish—Pork Knuckle. It is Swiss Deli Restaurant’s version of the crispy pata. The skin is crispy whilst the meat is tender. It is served with potatoes and sauerkraut. Sauerkraut is shredded cabbage that is fermented. It is crunchy and sour—a fitting condiment for the pork knuckle. For dessert, we had Apple Strudel (served a la mode), Caramel Cake (topped with whipped cream and pistachios/almonds) and Creme Brulee Cheesecake (crème brulee and cheesecake in one!). But what I liked best was the Fire and Ice Bread Pudding. The play of warm pudding and icy vanilla ice cream in my mouth is irresistible. These desserts are not too sweet, which is just right for me.For the drinks, the other bloggers chose Four Seasons, House Blend Iced Tea (home-made iced tea with lychee), and Pomegranate Mojito. I opted for the refreshing Cucumber Lemonade. I was also able to take a sip of the Basil Lemonade—interesting and light combination. As a nightcap, we also had Cafe, though this one’s made from barako coffee.Of course, Swiss Deli Restaurant also sells their very own made sausages, cold cuts and other deli meats plus, imported European cheeses and other delicatessen. We tried their Pesto Gouda Cheese--creamy cheese jazzed up with the distinctive pesto taste.

Just about 10 min walk from my village, I absolutely adore their selection of cheese and cold cuts. Their menu looks great. The cheese fondue is a must and I have yet to try their steaks. The place should have more selection of sandwiches tho but over all it was worth a try and will keep coming back :)

Their food may be a bit pricey but it's definitely worth your money. My friend and I were looking for a new place to try in Aguirre and when we saw that they serve cheese fondues, we were sold! At first, we both actually thought SwissDeli was just a grocery store because that's what you'll see upon entering the restaurant. They sell varieties of cheese and sausages. The interiors are definitely "Swiss" but could use a little more design. We actually have been there twice already just because of their Cheese fondue. Being the cheese lovers that we are, we already tried the two variants of it; the authentic with wine and the other without. Their Mixed Grill and Sausage Platter is great to pair with the fondue as you can also dip the sausages and meat to the cheese (if you're that addicted to cheese as we are).Their mocktails are a definite must-try! At our first trip we tried the House Blend Iced Tea which was not like your typical iced tea since it had that peach twist to it. At our second visit, we had their Basil Lemonade which was even better (we actually ended up eating the sweet basil itself). We're definitely coming back to try their salads and cheese platter!
