After reading good reviews from website, me and my husband finally decided to try the food at Tatsunoko last Saturday. As much as we would like to enjoy our food, something just seems to be missing in the food they serve. We ordered :Tamagoyaki - rated this 5/5. My dad is 100% Japanese and the taste is very similar to what he cooks. I highly recommend this.Futomaki - the rice seems to be overcooked or 'lata'. There is not enough sushi vinegar in the rice thus missing the authentic flavor of a real futomaki.Gyoza - the flour covering is quite thick. The taste is close to the authentic one but the covering is just too thick.Yakisoba - according to our server this dish is one of their bestsellers however, there is a missing flavor again. I must say that again my father cooks better Yakisoba. I guess they do not use the specific thick sauce used in cooking yakisoba probably because they are cost cutting? due to the price range of their dishes. That is just my guess.I have lived in Japan for 7 years so I really know what authentic Japanese food tastes like. I guess their dishes are missing some flavor because of the price range of their dishes so I am guessing they are substituting some ingredients or seasonings in their food to compensate with the cheap prices of dishes they offer in their restaurant.I have to commend the restaurant though and the reason why I gave them 4 stars is because when my husband accidentally spilled his hot tea on him, the staff were fast in providing first aid remedy and he was also provided a burn ointment. Thank you Tatsunoko for taking care of my husband :)

If you are looking for an affordable authentic Japanese food then this is the right place for you. For me, the servings are also good for sharing.

The food was superb! It's price doesnt even do justice to the quality of taste. I'd like to commend the Ebi tempura for it's amazing crisp and light feel.

We went here to celebrate one of our friend's birthday since he said it was a great and cozy place. It has a very nice cozy atmosphere since it's basically a house converted to a japanese restaurant. It was also full when we got here so it must be pretty popular around the area. I'll list the things I loved:Gyudon- their gyudon is really yummy. Plus it's pretty cheap at 250 pesos. I love how they added some glass noodles as well and the noodles were savory on their own. The beef was good. 🤗Gyoza- easily one of the best gyozas I've had. They were very big and I love the fried side. They don't skimp on the ingredients and the meat was very flavorful inside. This is a must order. 🤗Sashimi- the salmon sashimi was fresh and very good. I liked this a lot. 🤗🤗🤗Tempura- I loovveed their tempura. The shrimps were pretty big in size as well. I loved how it wasn't too much on the tempura batter. This is also a must order. 🤗Chicken teriyaki- this was one of the faves in our table. I loved it. The sauce was a great blend of sweet and savory.California maki- the maki here was very big in terms of size. They don't look like the small shriveled up ones in other places. The maki was great as well. We easily wolfed down our order of this. 🤗Overall it's such a great place! 🤗

This place is a revelation for me. A hole in the wall resto that serves authentic Japanese food. I was totally blown by their Sukiyaki. The sweetnes of the soup is subtle which entices you to have more than to walk away. The beef is tender that your grandma's dentures will stay intact in her gums. The Ebi tempura are big and crunchy. Cali Maki is refreshing and one serving is a mouthful already. Cant wait to go back!
