Went with family and was so happy to get a decent thai fix. Loved the squid with cilantro and the fried spring rolls. Tapioca was a seller to my husband and mom. Will def come back.

Excellent pad thai! Their mint and lemongrass drink is a good refresher, and tastes a bit candy-like. Others may find it a bit too sweet, but it works for me. Their fresh spring rolls, in my opinion, it doesn't go quite well with the sauce. But in general, it's okay.

Review originally published in my blog AprilandtheCity.comGrowing up in an Asian household, Thai cuisine isn’t new to me especially the fact that I am party Thailander so just imagine the amount of Thai food that I’ve devoured since I was a kid.Over the weekend, the weather was the perfect excuse for us to have a hot bowl of Tom Yum and lucky for us, there’s a Thai restaurant a couple of blocks away from our house. It’s our first time to dine in Songkran but we knew exactly what we wanted to order. For starters, I ordered a Thai Iced Tea because, what else should I order than this, right? For Php95.00, a tall glass of refreshing Thai Iced Tea is reasonable for its price. I prefer my Tom Yum A bit creamy so that was a bit of a disappointment for me. However, I love how the ingredients have a generous amount and that the sourness is just perfect to my. The chicken sate is just the typical one that you’d have when you go to a Thai resto. There’s your peanut sauce on the side but you can eat it without the sauce since the chicken itself is already tasty. We also had (garlic) stir fry squid. The girlfriend didn’t like it since the garlic is a bit too much for her liking, but it’s just the right flavor for me.Overall, if you’re craving for authentic Thai food and you’re just around BF Homes, Songkran is the best place to go! Service time is fast, staff is friendly, and food is reasonable for its price.

Good food at a great price. Whenever I want my Thai fix, this would be a safe go to place. My favorite dish here is the shrimp with garlic.

How do people live without great Thai food?I'm not really sure.I highly recommend this place's food.Everything from the Pad Thai to the Tom Yum soup to the curry dishes were phenomenal.Speaking of- might just make a trip down there this weekend. The service- they got things done but don't expect them to welcome a conversation.

I have been seeing this place all the time but I never tried it. It actually looks great. Very subtle, relaxing. Their menu looks good too. I love the dishes! Those old white and blue tin plates - we had one when I was a kid. We ordered ALOT so the bagoong rice is good for about 3 people. The server was gracious enough to teach us what to do. You just need to order 1 bagoong rice (100p+) and 1 jasmine rice (45p) and they will do the rest. It taste great too! Then we had crab omelette- the bf didnt like it coz there were veggies and a little sour. Then there's fresh spring rolls which had chili sauce instead of peanut sauce which I think is vietnamese. Prok cracklings in cilantro sauce was divine! The cracklings are not too hard and is just right. The Pad Thai as well is very good and I heard this is what they are known for. Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee is also a great value for money :) I will definitely come back and eat some more!

Thailand cuisine style here at Songkan, raelly not a fan of thai foods but ive tried to eat here once with my friends and I like some of it, like the crispy catfish salad. Very unique for my taste but I like and enjoyed it.

I used to live in Bangkok with my family and Thai food easily became a favorite. I remember looking for a restaurant here in Manila that catered to Thai dishes that tasted authentic, but to no avail. There were Thai restaurants that tried their hardest but...it just wouldn't make the cut. Then here came Songkran. The name itself was authentic - it's a national weeklong celebration during the first or second week of April that welcomed the Thai New Year by throwing minty white powder and water at random strangers. Sounds scary but it was so fun; it was like a big water fight!History aside, it was only our third time here that we realized the owner was also a Thai woman. That's why every dish tasted authentic! Tom Yum was perfect, you can taste the flavors from the vegetables and herbs as well as the spices from the crushed peppers. Pandan chicken is also good!! Just the right amount of sweetness to it. However our favorite has got to be the sticky rice with mango. Ugh, no one else can get it right. The sticky rice is so sticky but soft and the mangoes are a still bit sour so you activate both of your sweet and sour tastebuds in one bite.Do I recommend it? HELL YEAH. Outside dining is recommended at night!

We really miss thai food thats why we tried this restaurant . Im bit disappointed on my visit. Service is bad, you need to ask for everything. To think they had a 10% service charge. Staff is not very familiar with the menu. Place is a bit dark. With regards to food, The food is good. Serving time is 10-15mins. True thai authenticity is 8/10. I expect their food to be spicy. But its not. The pad thai is the most authentic thai food they have. Tomyum needs more spiciness on it. But overall taste is 👍🏻. Spring roll is a must try. You should had one. There's nothing special to their crab rice. 😔 i hate it. Taste 4/5Place 3/5Staff 2/5If youre going to ask me if will come back for another thai experience? Nah, nothing special about it.
