(Part of the website x SM Bicutan Food crawl last March 10, 2016)My favorite food discovery that day was Silom Thai. I guess we were all saving a space in our stomachs when we got news that we're having a Thai restaurant in our food crawl. Thai flavors are always a delight to the palate. I've been only to 2 authentic Thai restos: S.R. Thai Cuisine (Dapitan) and Krung Thai (Marikina) and both left a great impression on me. First off, I want to mention how beautiful the restaurant is. I've got no photos but I really appreciated all the details and decorations to have that Thai ambiance, definitely elegant and not tacky. Even the silverwares and the lights! It was small but it looked really good that it somehow felt like it doesn't belong there, it should have been in a posh neighborhood or tucked somewhere in the streets of Makati. This one's located right in front of a Jollibee and near the department store, which, I guess, is a strategic way of encouraging and welcoming people to try Thai food after a day of shopping. What's a Thai foodtrip without Tom Yum? The aroma of the Tom Yum Goong was so enticing, and the taste, even better! The flavors of different herbs and spices (lemon grass? ginger? lime juice? coriander?) definitely had that perfect balance of the distinctive taste of spiciness and sourness with each sip of the hearty broth. The shrimp and veggies were also just right. This is a must-try when you visit Silom Thai!We also had the Fresh Vegetarian Spring Rolls, which was meant to be an appetizer (but we all can't wait for the Tom Yum haha), and I think this is a great welcome dish for those trying out Thai food for the first time. Don't forget to dip it in the sweet chili sauce with crushed peanuts for great flavors and textures. The Chicken Pad Thai's also a winner! The noodles were not overdone and the chunks of chicken were tender and oozing with flavor. Overall, it was the right kind of salty and sweet.Finishing this gastronomic delight is sampling their dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice. The glutinous rice is sweet but more on the creamy side because of the coconut milk. Topping it with a slice of mango makes it a refreshing treat after a wonderful feast of Asian flavors, making it a more memorable experience. We also had the Iced Tea with Milk which was authentic tasting and not the types served in the dime a dozen milk tea shops nowadays.

2nd to the last restaurant on review at website X SM bicutan food crawl. With our tummies nearly full, The restaurant allow us to taste their bestsellers namely: Tom Yum Goong, Chicken Pandan, Chicken Pad Thai , Vegetable Pad Thai, Bagoong Rice, Vegetable Spring Roll and Mango Sticky Rice.Food 4.0/5.0 : We loved the tom yum goong, a very flavorful broth with tamarind and lemongrass. Their chicken pandan is simple yet delicious.  We also liked their Vegetable pad thai and Chicken pad thai which is authentic and the ingredients are fresh. Ambiance: 4.0/5.0 : another 20-30 seater restaurant. But be careful on thinking of it's size, The Silom thai has the best interiors in the SM bicutan area. *All Meals/Dishes on this review are Complimentary

Very good Thai place. My favorite was the Tom Yum Goong soup, highly recommended. The soup is made from fresh ingredients, and the flavor is very authentic Thai. The pad thai is also delicious. The prices are also not too expensive.

The flavors at Silom Thai are authentic Thai and are not “Filipinized”. The food is very good, and the prices reasonable. If you are in the area and love Thai food, definitely check out Silom Thai! I was told the people behind Silom Thai are also the same ones behind my other favorite Thai restaurant, Tamarind at SM Aura. No wonder! :)

We have been seeing this resto at SM Bicutan for quite some time already but we always end up eating at the restos beside or near it instead. This time though, hubby and I were already hungry and every resto has long waiting lines already so we decided to try Silom. We were pleasantly surprised that the food were all good. We ordered bagoong rice, mixed sate (3 sticks chicken & 3 sticks pork) and thai fried chicken wings. Bagoong rice - saltiness is just right. Perfect blend of sweet and salty. Mixed Sate - the sauce was sweet with a little spice. Really good pairing. Meat was tender.Thai Chicken wings - love the sweet chili dip. Chicken was juicy inside and crunchy on the outside.Bottomless Lemongrass Iced Tea - refreshing. We'll definitely go back.Update:Appetizer Sampler - Shrimp cake and Fried Lumpia is so good with the sweet chili sauce. Fresh lumpia is nice with the sweet & spicy vinegar. Grilled Pork Belly - nicely grilled thin strips of pork belly, you can taste the grilled taste and is served with sweet vinegar with cucumber.Beef Red Curry - super loved this! The medium spice has just enough spice that I think I can order the spicy level next time. Sauteed Kailan - hubby’s faveBottomless Lemon Iced Tea - they were very attentive in refilling the iced tea, me so happy!!! 😜Update 2: Sad that Kailan was not available so we had kang kong instead.Tom Yum Chicken was too sour haha we had a hard time sipping the hot broth. Smells like sinigang. Not a fan of the herb topping the soup.

I have been to SM Bicutan several times because it's now near my office. I must say that this is the only restaurant that I enjoyed dining in at SM Bicutan. The staff are friendly and they serve good thai food. I love their Thai iced milktea and Pad thai. ♥

If you're in Paranaque area and craving for an authentic Thai food experience then Silom is perfect located inside SM Bicutan near the bookstore ,Ordered here several times also had the chance to talk to the people behind it years ago,my favorites here are the noodles and the desserts via takeout.Their padthai is superb reminiscent of the one that is in the streets of Bangkok and Khao San Rd .Staff are very friendly and attentive, reasonably priced ,nice modern Thai interiors. One of the best Thai Resto in this part of the southern metropolis.

Tom Yum -  When it was served, the aroma of a sour broth lingered and I wasn't able to help my self take a sip even if it was so hot! So, that was what Tom Yum was all about --- sour soup, almost Sinigang like, but had an assortment of herbs and spices. My local taste buds liked it! The chicken chunks were tender and the veggies were done right - not soggy at all! Great Tom Yum first time!We got the Shrimp Pad Thai and it was served beautifully, garnished with some bean sprouts, parsley, crushed peanuts and green lemon slices. Sadly, the noodles were overcooked and as I hunt for the shrimps, I got really frustrated when I took a bite - overcooked as well. Since I was really craving for Pad Thai, I ignored the sad noodles and focused on the overall taste. To be fair, this was one of the best Pad Thai I've had. The characteristic saltiness and sweetness were there made interesting by the sour kick when you squeeze the fresh green lemon slices.Hubby just couldn't let go of his pork chop craving that day but decided to drop it when he saw this dish. Tender and well marinated meat served with garlic bits and garnished with parsley, these were good! Salty and a tad sweet! Thai Iced Milk Tea  - really refreshing with that strong bitter and earthy flavor, well balanced by the milk added. The presentation was lovely too. Served as soon as they have poured the milk. When it gets to your table, you'll see the white liquid cascading down the rich orange tea.

For a Thai Restaurant in SM Bicutan, this is quite a surprise. It boasts a nicely designed interiors. Love the drop lights and the little touches of Asian design throughout their small quiant restaurant. They are located near the supermarket. We ordered the vegetarian fresh spring rolls, pad thai, tom yum chicken soup, green papaya salad, kao pad fried rice. Everything tasted good. The spring rolls was fresh and had a good sprinkling of crushed nuts. The dipping sauce was equally delicious. Tasted with a faint sweetness of pineapple. Sour and sweet and mildly spicy. The tom yum soup was very sour. Perfect for the rainy days we are having. We asked for it to be mild but it may still be spicy for some. The fried rice was really tasty but the serving was not as big as i expected. The serving in Bangkok sidestreets are very generous so one might be a little dismayed compared to servings in Manila restaurants. Over all it was good still.Service water was served in intricate metal cups. It was ice cold and very refreshing. Very nice. Service was quick.Senior discounts honored and was very accurate to the T! Good job.
