(Part of the website x SM Bicutan Food crawl last March 10, 2016)The milk tea craze is still very much on and there's no sign of slowing down soon. Even in my home town, Cavite, milk tea shops have infiltrated the local food scene and are sprouting on every corner putting tough competition against the usual coffee shops. The one that started it all? Serenitea. This pioneering milk tea shop in the Philippines has been around since 2008.I'm not big on coffee, even more so on tea, how much more milk tea? The idea sounded off to me. But when I first tasted a Wintermelon Tea at some milk tea shop near my house, I realized it wasn't so bad naman pala. But still, I didn't join the bandwagon. It was until a couple of my colleagues from my previous work kept ordering Serenitea like no tomorrow. Hahaha. There was a branch in Jupiter right in front of our building. It was then my love affair with Uji Pyramid started, and it's what I've been having ever since. I don't like matcha but somehow it works when combined with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I can't think of a better way this food crawl to end! It's perfect!

Last stop of the website X Sm bicutan Food Crawl. Serenitea is one of the first milk tea shop in the philippines. As always, one Wintermelon milk tea. Wintermelon or simply "kundol" in tagalog, The natural sweetness of wintermelon is my favorite. I gave them a grade of 3.5 because the drink was just okay, nothing extraordinary. Nothing to review more because this tea shop is popular already.  Thank you website and the SM bicutan management for a very successful food crawl.*All Meals/Dishes on this review are Complimentary

First branch and first branch to try because I'm always looking for the authentic oriental tea taste,I chanced upon their ad ,the Hong Kong style milk with the black and white evaporated milk.I ordered it with the least sugar so to taste the pureness of the tea.The taste of the tea is very close to the Taiwanese ,HK and SG which I really like.Place is a bit small but it's ok ,staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Wintermelon Milktea at 25% sugar, with pearls and crystals. Hard Press. Chicken Chops and Pepper Tofu. My constant orders. Very courteous and friendly staff. Tho sometimes they run out of Basil. Sad. Pero bumabalik balik pa din ako. Hihihi.

To say that i love serenitea is an understatement - im crazy about their milktea- Hokkaido being my all-time fave. Yesterday i tried their chaffee series which had a free upgrade until end of feb, Hokkaido espresso in particular (of course it had to be Hokkaido haha) and hands down it is the best and now my new fave! It is more expensive than a regular MT and without default sinkers but definitely worth it! It is named as such- Hokkaido MT with espresso shot. It is an ingenious combo for those who are both tea and coffee lovers. Cant wait til my next order!Meanwhile, let's talk about their snacks. Their pepper tofu, pepper chicken, pepper squid balls basically pepper everything are amazing. And that's because of the special blend of pepper that they use which would make anything bland or ordinary become super tasty it is magic. It is nothing like i've ever come across. I even asked their staff what it is which they refuse to reveal unfortunately hence a secret ingredient. The fried basil leaves that go with it are a welcome treat

Hands down the best milk tea I ever had (compared to the other local comp.) Plus now they expanded their food selections from muchi buns to rice tops and now pastries (selected areas) Im so addicted to there seasoning and still doesnt know what it is. classic drinks to order:hokkaido and okinawaclassic snacks:pepper tofu chicken chopsThere so many drinks n snacks to choose from. Either way you wont regret ordering them!Just keep in mind that some tea based can cause insomnia or lactose problems if you have it. So I suggest if you have these problems take moderate pressed and refrain from black tea based and drink them lunch time only for the insomnia, for the lactose ones, take the non milk drinks. I liked their cranberry fruit tea (green tea based)

The dine-in is great. However, the ordering via phone-call were mostly taken poorly for the N times we ordered from this branch. The lead-time of delivery can also be improved with promptness. Moreover, the food and drink quality is unquestionable.

Best tea place in Bicutan so far. My favorite was Roasted Sesame and Mint Chocolate but alas, it was short lived. For some reason, the branch cut down on their tea flavors so there's not a lot to choose from anymore. Most of the milk tea flavors that they kept all have that similar grassy "eastern" taste as well. Compared to other milk tea places, Serenitea teas taste more "authentic" (if that makes any sense). I recommend going 50% then 25%. It's healthier and once you get used to it, you'll never go back to extra sweet 100%. One thing that I don't like is their milk tea menu. To give their brand an edge, teas are named after Japanese prefectures and I honestly have no idea what Hokkaido or Nagasaki is supposed to taste like without asking the staff first. There's no description in the menu either so it's no good guessing. Place is very small. I don't mind though because I always have mine on the go. Friendly staff as well.

I've been in a milk tea kind of mood lately. So I decided to stop by at Serenitea. Serenitea is one of the most common milk tea stores here in the Philippines. I would always order the Wintermelon Milk Tea, not only in this store, but in other beverage outlets as well. For a change, I ordered their Okinawa Milk Tea. I didn't really know what it is, but it was recommended to me. I just wish that Serenitea's Milk Tea menu had descriptions under each flavor so we would know the composition of each drink. I had my Milk Tea with 0% sugar because the average for me is very sweet. I'm weird, I know 😂. Their Okinawa Milk Tea tasted nice. It was very refreshing and light. The pearls in Serenitea were also very soft unlike other stores, the pearls are still too firm and hard. It was nice to order a different drink for a change but Wintermelon Milk Tea would still be my favorite. ❤

I got myself  the unconventional Honey and Calamansi drink with pearl sinkers as I wanted something refreshing and not too heavy as the milk tea options provide.  I was satisfied with its sweetness and  worth ordering once again. I also noticed  the ambiance of every Serenitea branch that has some frames and books that made it feel homey.
