Do you plan to hang out? Well, then Papi Chulo's could be your next ideal hang out place for both you and your friends. This Mexican joint in Paranaque City will immediately drown you in its relaxing and easygoing atmosphere together with its tempting menu. There were also Mexican hip hop songs playing in the background, giving the overall place a groovy vibe. The place itself already sounds amazing but that's just 50 % of it. It was finally our last stop of our website BF Homes Food Crawl and here were the final dishes that we had 😊:➿Elote➿ (185 php)[Roasted Corn Cob smothered in cream, and topped with Parmesan cheese]- The corn itself was sweet and the cream together with the Parmesan cheese gave it a satisfying saltiness.*Tip: You can ask them to shred the corn for you! :)➿ Tuna Aguachile ➿(210 php)[ fresh tuna, aguachile lime marinade, onions, peanuts, cucumber, sweet soy ]- It had a similar flavor with the Peruvian dish "Ceviche". The sliced tuna had a sweet, salty and sour flavor that paired well with the crisp, sweet soy topped tostada.➿ Nachos ➿(235 php)[ chips, queso, cilantro crema, pulled pork, pico de gallo, jalapeño, 63'C egg]- These loaded nachos were full of flavor. I like how the 63'C egg gave the nachos an instant sauce or dip. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot and it's great for sharing.➿ Brisket Taco ➿(130 php) *served with 2 soft tacos[ pulled brisket, chamoy sauce, potato sticks, pico de gallo ]- The brisket itself was a bit dry for me but flavor was good. Overall, it was worth the try.➿ Chicken Ass Taco ➿ (120 php)*served with 2 soft tacos[ fried chicken ass, chamoy sauce, pickled onions ]- You heard that right. It's a chicken "ass" taco. As expected, the chicken was crunchy, salty and oily in a good way. Overall, I enjoyed the flavor of it especially with the spicy Chamoy sauce.➿Al Pastor Taco ➿(120 php)*served with 2 soft tacos[grilled pork butt, pineapple, spicy salsa arriera, salsa ranchera, cilantro and onions]- The pork butt was tender and it had a nice smoky flavor. I also like the touch of fresh pineapple that gave the taco a bit of sweetness and moisture.➿Chicharon Bulaklak Taco ➿ (125 php)*served with 2 soft tacos[fried chicharon bulaklak, pickled cucumber, pico de gallo, sweet soy]- One of my favorites among the tacos I've had. Who knew chicharon would work in a taco? Addicting and satisfying.➿ Pulled Pork Quesadilla ➿(160 php)[with queso and crema]- Tastes just like there nachos, only with a softer and thicker texture. ➿ Chipotle Pork Belly ➿ (245 php)[pork belly, cilantro garlic rice, esquites, pico de gallo]- The pork belly was so tender that you could pull it apart! Eat it with the cilantro garlic rice, esquites and pico de gallo for the complete experience!➿ Mango Panacotta ➿(130 php)[ rice crispies, fresh and dried mangoes, chamoy]- The texture of the panacotta wasn't the best but flavorwise, it was tasty. Who knew the hot chamoy sauce would work in a sweet dessert like this? Overall, Papi Chulo's is a great place to hang out with your friends every once in a while. So check it out today and don't forget to enjoy their food along with some drinks as well! Cheers! 🍻😄

Our final stop for the day would be Papi Chulo's, a Tex-Mex bar located along Aguirre. There were no patrons yet so we had the place for ourselves. The place itself shows the festive nature of the mexicans with the murals, sombreros, and the bandanas hanging at the ceiling. The place was an open area designed for night outs and with the sounds blasting with Mexican rap music, its bound to be one heck of a time.So we tried out the following:- Elotes (185 php)- Nachos (235 php)- Tacos (varies depending on the filling)- Pulled Pork Quesadillas (160 php)- Tuna Aguachile (210 php)- Chipotle Pork Belly (245 php)- Mango Panacotta (130 php)The Elotes, Tacos, Nachos, and the Quesadillas were good accompaniments for booze. The Elotes were very tasty but I was hoping it would have a bit more spice. I'm surprised with the Nachos as it has an egg on it, w/c I wouldn't normally see on others. I does work though on the dish. We had several tacos but I highly recommend their Chicharon Bulaklak and Chicken Ass Tacos. Both had great texture and well seasoned. We also tried their Cucumber Lemon and Lychee Aguas Frescas and from those two, the Cucumber Lemon was my favorite. To me, this place has a good standing over Aguirre's nightlife, offering a good place for food and booze. I'll always take note of this spot whenever I'm up for a good time with my buddies from the south.

Ola Papis! Mi amigos y mi amigas!Papi Chulo's is a fairly new hang-out spot and watering hole in BF Homes along Aguirre but it somehow manages to compete with the bigger and known spots in the village. With its laidback feel and the distinctive music, you won't be able to resist the call to try and "tambay" at this bar under the trees. We were there a wee bit earlier than their usual drinking crowd but the music was welcoming. It feels like a bar right out of the Fast and the Furious movies! I was already imagining Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez roar in with an Impala! I like the Mariachi hats decorating the tree trunk in the middle as well as the colorful bandanas in the ceiling that lent a more festive vibe to the place. The haunting but lovely image of La Muerte graces the only wall as a mural, and provides a unique focal point and conversation starter for the patrons. This is definitely one of the most Instagrammed parts of the bar.Food was mostly TexMex. We get to try their soft-shell tacos 4 ways! There's Brisket Tacos (P130), Chicken Ass Tacos (P120), Chicharon Bulaklak Tacos (P125) and Al Pastor Tacos (P120). Although there was a great selection of different taco fillings, I think my mouth got a bit confused with the flavors of each taco. The most seasoned one for me was the Al Pastor Tacos.Their version of Nachos (P245) were a bit different too. This was the first time I tried nachos with everything in it, plus a soft boiled egg! A tray of Shredded Pork Quesadillas (P160) go well with their Lychee and Cucumber coolers as well. The Tuna Agua Chile (P210) needs a bit more TLC. It tasted a bit tough for ceviche and could have been more tastier. Most of their dishes are perfect as beermates but they also have rice dishes like the Chipotle Pork Belly (P245) served with dirty rice and a helping of crispy onion skins. This bowl was good for sharing!I love corn and their Elotes got me excited! For P180, you get 3 pieces of corn skewered on sticks, topped with a cheese sauce and even more parmesan cheese. You also have the choice to have the kernels sliced off the cob. Really appetizing! The owner was gracious enough to provide Cuervo shots for the group. I had to decline as it was still early in the day.BF and South milennials should look out for this place and try it, for the sake of chilling with their friends. The al-fresco set up encourages a relaxed chill vibe to it, perfect for when getting a beer on your own or when hanging out with your posse.

The best fusion Mexican restaurant in the heart of BF Homes. The vibe of the place is very refreshing and laid back packed with Mexican hiphop music to further enhance your dining experience. Their Chicharones taco is sinfully good and truly worthy of all the running that one has to do after consuming it. Their famous Truffle Elote is a must try but don't forget to ask the server to shred it if you want to conveniently eat it. They are still on soft-opening so it's a given that the waiting period may improve along the way. Nevertheless, I will certainly come back for more! Yay! 😘

Definitely worth the hype! Looking for new places to eat in BF is always a struggle between my friends and me, but good thing spot.ph posted an article about new restaurants in the south and because we need a different restaurant to try. We got their Truffled Corn (FORGOT THE NAME!!! but it's in the appetizer part), Chicken Fajita and Carne Soft Taco. At first, the servings don't look a lot, but once you finish it, you'll be full. The Truffled Corn was to die for, as in super duper worth it. The Chicken Fajita was a bit spicy, but man very fulfilling. The Taco was great, one of the best tacos for me.The place was great, the decors correlate the theme except for the bad music (LOL), and the staff was excellent, they were accommodating and fast service. Great place, great food for an affordable price. I'm going back.

Ok, I was puzzled with their quesadilla which was served like it was in a soft shelled taco. We had chicken tinga and shredded pork. The orders of quesadilla were better than the soft taco chicharon bulaklak order though. The nachos were good with the sprinkled jalapeño bits but I have tasted better. Too bad they ran out of lychee margarita slush that night but the pineapple margarita slush was an ok alternative. We thought the mix was too sweet though. The cold slush was refreshing on a humid evening but once it melts it tastes like pineapple juice. We will stick with the quesadilla and maybe try the burritos on our next visit. Prices are affordable for their small servings. If you sit outside towards the steel rails or gates, try not to be surprised if you feel someone tapping your backs. The establishment is open so the kids can easily reach you to beg for alms if you are seated close to the steel rails.

Papi Chulo's was the last stop in our BF Homes Paranaque foodcrawl. The place is an al fresco bar which offers Tex-Mex food. We had Elote (P 185), Nachos (P 235), Tuna Aguachile (P 210) for starters. Elote is corn on the cob smeared with mayo and sprinkled with parmesan cheese. It's a good way to enjoy corn on a stick. A must try!If you don't want to get your hands messy, you can ask the server to shred it for you.We got to taste their soft-shelled tacos in four ways----Brisket Taco (P 130), Chichen Ass Taco (P 120), Al pastor Taco (P 120) and Chicharon Bulaklak Taco (P 125), which is my favorite among these corn tortillas. Each serving comes with 2 pieces tortilla and is good for one person.Next, we were served Shredded Pork Quesadilla, Chipotle Pork Belly and Pannacota.Their food makes good beer-mates. Manage your expectations given the low pricepoints though.

If you are looking for affordable and reasonable bar in BF Resort, try visiting Papi Chulo's.It's al fresco dining but it's well ventilated since they have large windows. They have good choices of drinks (liquors to be exact since it's a bar) paired with good "pulutan" like tacos and nachos.Full review at psst.ph
