I have never been to Japan so I don't know what is the taste of the real takoyaki. From the name itself, I thought we are going to try different takoyaki but they are giving more than just a takoyaki. The place is a bit dark for me but it is a huge place that It can accommodate around 30-40 person.Tonkatsu Ramen, It was good but I was looking for more flavor for the soup of the ramen.Yakisoba, Noodles topped with cabbage and pork drizzled with kewpie. It was a bit oily for me.Okonomiyaki Pork, it's a Japanese pancake, mixed vegetables, and pork but it was not incorporated properly.Takoyaki Original, Caution! Served very hot! but if you finished it for 2 mins you can have it for free. Some website told me it taste same in Japan.

For a quick and affordable Japanese cravings fix, head over to Osaka Takoyaki. Despite its namesake, they don’t just sell takoyaki. With a wide array of Japanese dishes, you’ll surely have a hard time picking what to eat.Tonkatsu Ramen - Perfect for rainy weathers! The soup would surely warm you up and the broth is flavorful. Their bowls are not as big as other ramen chains, but it’s enough to fill you up. The ramen includes 3 slices of juicy pork and half of an organic egg. Recommended!Okonomiyaki Pork - When I cut it apart, I was surprised with the big portions of pork that was in it. The dish easily crumbled when I took a couple of pieces. Is that normal? Idk. Yakisoba Pork - I don’t like ordering fried noodles in restaurants but this dish made me change my mind. This is certainly one of my favorites in their establishment. The pork slices that came in it were juicy and succulent. Recommended!Takoyaki - I have never went to Japan before so I have no idea about a takoyaki’s authenticity. Osaka Takoyaki’s takoyakis (original) are a bit sour, in my opinion. My taste buds are more of in the sweet side. The sizes are big so a plate would definitely make you full.

I was excited to try the restaurant’s Takoyaki. I have tasted the authentic takoyaki during our trip in Osaka months back and I was hoping a resto can replicate it locally.Enter Osaka Takoyaki. Just a year old, it boasts of using ingredients sourced from Japan. It helps that the owner is Japanese married to a Pinay. The place is larger than usual with dark grey ceiling which made the place a bit dim. We were served the followingTonkatsu Ramen P299Okonomiyaki Pork P230Yakisoba pork P230Original Takoyaki P150What Pigoutsundays loved : The Takoyaki was flavorful and delicious. My only issue with it was how little the portion of the octopus was inside. The price was good for 8 pcs.Service : alert and cheerfulPrice : It was affordable. The price ranged from a low of P150 to a high of P299 for the 4 dishes that were served to us last WednesdayWhat Pigoutsundays loved less:The Ramen broth could us a bit more flavor amd richness. Some parts of the okonomiyaki pork was good , others were just mushy. The Yakisoba pork tasted good albeit on the oily side.

One of the countries I fell in love with is Japan and it’s cuisine is also my favorite one. They offer notable street foods that are affordable and visually appetizing to the eye. Osaka Takoyaki is owned by a Japanese restaurateur. His aim is to bring the Japanese street food favorites to the Philippines. Tonkatsu Ramen (Php 299) the noodles was ok and the soup was like the light soup made in Tokyo which was fine since if you don’t want rich flavored soup. I just didn’t like how the chashu was so tough they grilled it instead of simmering. Okonomiyaki Pork (Php 230) tasted great but my only issue was the ingredients wasn’t distributed evenly there were some portions with meat then some none. They offer 7 varieties with their okonomiyaki. Yakisoba Pork (Php 230) it’s really good. Almost comparable with Japan’s yakisoba. My only concern was it’s too oily because of the hot plate which traps the oil. There are 7 options available for their yakisoba and yakiudon. Takoyaki Original (Php 150) Relatively the same one in Japan. Except the octopus chunk isn’t as big but the taste is the same. There’s also cheese takoyaki (Php 170) if you want cheese with your takoyaki. Thank you Osaka Takoyaki for having us.

I have tried authentic Japanese food and I this place has to be one of the restaurants who can offer you with food that’s closest to the authentic ones. Their Takoyaki, for me their Takoyaki is good and its big size and the amount of Takoyaki they give you which is 6 pieces for 150 pesos. Definitely worth the price.Their Yakisoba, definitely my favorite. It is packed with flavor! For the price of 230 pesos, for me, this one so far is the closest to an authentic Japanese Yakisoba I have had.Their Okonomiyaki, is quite good. I may not be a huge fan of the Okonomiyaki, but this one is definitely on the plus side. It tastes good and the serving amount is also huge for the price of 230 pesos. The place is also nice and spacious.Overall, this place is definitely a must try for its affordable quality food.

Their takoyaki is really good, but everything else not so. Their okonomiyaki was a bit unstable amd tasted wet. Their tamen was okay lang.If you’re looking for cheap Japanese comfort food, this might be your go-to-place.

Went here for takoyaki takeout. The place was huge - and dimly lit. Saw some mosquitoes in it because it had little lighting. The staff were courteous but the service took long for takeout takoyaki. I think I sat there for 20 minutes. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. I've had better takoyakis elsewhere.

Right from its name, you know you're in for a treat. For me, takoyaki is comfort food. Those huge octopus-filled circles of goodness are best eaten hot, right off the griddle! Osaka Takoyaki comes from the same brilliant mind that made the Riyoaki gas stations and taxis flourish here in Manila. Hiroaki Hamada opened their flagship restaurant in BF, and ever since, you'll see it filled with people out to enjoy good authentic Japanese streetfood. For their anniversary, they have set up lots of promotions featuring their best selling dishes including their famous Cheese Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki, and Tonkotosu Ramen. Their Cheese Takoyaki was every bit as cheesy as it looks. Sized just right these little balls of octopus and veggies are drenched in Japanese mayo and more cheese on top. Cheesy filling treat, I feel my kids would love this! The Okonomiyaki comes in an assortment of flavors. But their bestsellers include the Pork Okonomiyaki and Squid Okonomiyaki. Each Japanese pancake is served in a hot plate, and topped with runny eggs, seaweed strips, vegetables and Japanese mayo. Just add a few more pesos to get more cheese, kimuchi, pork, egg or corn to your hotplate for a more satisfying meal!Another dish served was the yakisoba. Noodles were firm to the bite, and the hotplate was heaped with vegetables and meat. One suggestion I made was to lessen the Japanese mayo dressing on the yakisoba, as it drowns the actual yakisoba flavor. A tip would be to just place it on the side as a condiment. Osaka Takoyaki looks very promising, right from its posh exterior to the warm ambiance of the little bamboo booths inside. It makes for a great barkada hangout as they serve huge portions perfect for sharing. Everyhing is also within budget, not too expensive but still on point flavorwise. Although mainly centered on Japanese streetfood fare, I suggest trying out their other offerings too like the ramen and rice toppings. I look forward to coming back and bringing a few of my friends to dine it and have fun. Maybe we'll down little shots of sake too!

It's not my first time to go to the south but yeah, I need to go out of the house very early just not be stuck in the traffic. After 4 or 3 hours of travel, We reached our destination, the Osaka Takoyaki. The restaurant itself, I thought we will be having a takoyaki party. I was a bit disappointed because I was assuming that they serve a different kinds or flavors of takoyaki but anyways, they served more than just a takoyaki. (too much assume will kill me!)

Located at 280 Aguirre Avenue, BF Homes, Paranaque, it is hard to miss since the restaurant practically has the entire store front with a huge dominating sign in black and white. Their flagship store has been in operation for more than a year now. They are slowly branching outside of BF but surprisingly within the South area still. With one branch in SM Sucat and two more opening soon in SM Bicutan, Paranaque and Dasmarinas, Cavite. I would have love to know more about the history of this restaurant because I expected more on their "star" item since the restaurant is named after it. A closer look on the menu shows how a takoyaki is more than just the little hot snack balls we have come to know and love. They have it paired with soup, "sandwiched" between what looked like a taco shell and a takoyaki topped with cheese! We had the following for the afternoon:Original Takoyaki - perfect little round balls that are a perfect snack while sharing stories with friends. This would pair well with a cold beer. Served hot, one can have it for free if you can finish a plate within 1 minute (2 minutes for ladies).Tonkotsu Ramen - nice bowl of ramen but i am not sure if what was served was for a lunch portion, it looked differently from the menu. It had three pieces of pork and considerably less noodles, when the one on the menu had lots more. If it is for the price for 299pesos it is quite a price tag for such a small serving. I would understand if it is part of a set meal though. The soup was very light, the added spiced spring onions added a nice touch but was not as spicy as i hoped for.Pork Yakisoba - i enjoyed this noodle dish. It had a nice crunch at the bottom because of the hot plate. The vegetables and seasoned pork was generous too. Serving is good enough for two to three hungry people.Pork Okonomiyaki - i am sure if i had my brother with me that he would enjoy this dish. It was packed with shredded cabbage, pork, kani, topped with a soft boiled egg. Some detested the texture but i found it just right.Service was friendly and cordial, water refills abound without asking which is a plus. Dining area looked dark but nicely decorated. The couch seating had nice pictures hanging in each booth. I did not appreciate the side comments that the guard on duty (if he was from the restaurant or the building) uttered when we were there. If he did not like the food he better keep his comments to himself so as not to scare potential customers away. Overall, it was a nice dining experience still, prices are good for some dishes but i have to visit again to justify the price of the ramen.Disclaimer: Sponsored dining by Osaka Takoyaki.
