Love the crew! Very accommodating and polite, and are always smiling. The food was served in a timely manner - expectations were properly set. The dessert - buko pandan - was a winner for me. I'll definitely go back.

this branch serves the same menu but with reduced or lacking ingredients..really bad since they charge the same premium price..upon calling their crew, the OIC will just try to defend to the point of lying and making himself look stupid, imagine, he doesn't even know the ingredients, and although it's in the menu, he will try to make up things..this makes it worse and very disappointing for a good brand, and for this branch..will never go back here again..this ruins it..

I went here with my friends to celebrate my friend's 18th birthday. They serve us well. They are fast in serving our food although it's not hot anymore but it's good especially their tofu. Yayy~ 💕💕

Another family favorite restaurant. For me, this is the best branch of Max's. The place is spacious and outside area is serene. Waiters are polite and attentive. Service is fast. Aside from the famous fried chicken, sizzling tofu is one of their best dish and definitely a must try :)

Arrived dinner time, full house.  Lots of families decided to dine there.  Their service is good, you see that staff are very attentive even if they are very busy.  As always, delicious Filipino food.  Sizzling Tofu is now becoming a favorite, cooked and flavors are just right.  Even their regular Pancit Canton can be for sharing, kids and adults enjoyed a portion of it.Happy they have a wide parking space.

Had dinner here  after going to a wake in Funeraria Paz in Manila Memorial Park Paranaque. more than a month ago. There is a superstitious belief handed down by our grandparents called "pagpag "in the local vernacular.  Its English translation escapes me at the moment. Anyway, right after leaving the wake , it is imperative that you do not go home straight away. You need to go to a place ie a restaurant or a gas station , etc , get out of your car and stay a few minutes  like a stopover if you will. The idea was that  when you go to the wake somehow whatever bad vibes or jinx or curse , attaches itself to your person or your aura.  To remove it, you have to go to a neutral place and leave whatever that is at that place . You would not want any of that nega vibes following you at home right? hahahaOh well its just a "pamahiin" even an "old wives tale" . Neverthless, it would not hurt  to heed the warning,. Its just a simple thing plus handsome hubby and I had more time to bond/date  in the process hehehe. We ordered  some pakbet with our usual order  of chicken. We love Max's pinakbet.  The vegetables are crunchy and the bagoong provided the flavor. Yum!

Update: March 29, 2018 Dinner. Talk about disappointment, ordered sweet and sour Fish Fillet and what we got was an order of sweet and sour vegetables with 5 small pieces of what looked like Fish Fillet. The cuts are not even enough for 1 person and for the price tag of 249pesos is not worth you cash.Max's in Sucat Road has been in its location since forever. They have gone one major renovation and currently the lot owner is asking an increase in rates thus the sudden shrinkage of the parking lot. It is now difficult to get parking space during rush hours and events. Since they serve a rather tight knit community plus the passersby of Paranaque they have grown and trained crew members that upholds a high standard of service (to my own observation). Floor area is huge plus the number of private function rooms can accomodate a large number of diners all at the same time. For dinner with my big family. We had the standard Max's fare of Chicken, Crispy Pata, Pancit Canton, Pinakbet, Camaron Rebusado, plain rice and a small glass of Buco Pandan. Everything was served quickly since we already arranged a reservation a day before. Filipino food known since the early days that will surely stand the test of time. Recommended. Senior discounts honored.

I got to try Max's crispy pata and I was surprised how good it was. I did not think they could have something like this. It was crispy, flavorful, delicious and oh so meaty. I think I may have found a new favorite in this place.

When you think of Max’s the first thing that always comes to mind is their spring chicken. Not Tinapa rice with Kare-kare. Yep, you read that right. And no, please don’t blame me for this seemingly weird pairing, my niece CJ takes that honor. And my other niece Risa, my date for the evening, was the reason I shifted gears. My mind was set on trying the bulalo., which was perfect for the cool evening. Not just any bulalo either. There are four variants: the traditional nilaga, sinigang, sizzling nilaga or sizzling sinigang versions. So I was checking out which bulalo to order when Risa seemingly casually said, “or we can try the Tinapa rice and Kare-kare.” Back story is that I was raving about this when we celebrated my brother-in-law’s birthday last December, at Max’s in Sucat and were eating their trademark chicken. Apparently she didn’t forget this remark and it came back to derail the bulalo mind set. My mouth was watering at the memory of the first time I tried the unusual pairing. So mind turned, we settled on the Tinapa rice and Kare-kare.It may seem odd and your mind may initially balk, but the combination works beautifully together at least to my palate. The saltiness of the Tinapa combined with the sweetness of the Kare-Kare sauce, practically renders the bagoong redundant. It’s so good I’ve considered it the ultimate temptation for those avoiding carbs. Don’t dare try it as it’s good to the last grain of rice so long as you can smother it in the peanut based Kare- kare sauce. No wait, that isn’t quite true as I could have eaten the rice on its own merit! We capped our dinner with the newly introduced creamy puff cheese roll. Last time they ran out so we made sure we reserved ours before we even ordered our dinner. The creamy cheese puff roll was so much better and classier than their ordinary cheese roll. They should just junk the traditional roll and stick to the creamy puff version as it will set them apart. This was paired with their Malagos hot chocolate, another of Max’s new “sinfully good” temptations. I’ve tried the Malagos chocolate, hot, iced and with mani. I need to do another round or two or even more 😋, of all three, to decide which version I like best. They were all equally good with its creamy, smooth texture and just the right sweetness and chocolate flavor. If you’re a hot choco fan, this will be your nirvana. Next time I’ll try the sizzling bulalo. 😜
