Visited this restaurant recently along with some of the Food Crawlers, so many thanks for inviting us. We sampled many of their dishes and the following are my favorites:1) shanghai: their version is like a "shanghai-nized" siomai because it's filled with pork and shrimp, but they are not ground nor minced, so each bite delivers some chunky goodness!2) miswa guisado: YOU HAVE TO ORDER THIS!!! Too good for words! 3) oyster cake: I felt like eating egg, oyster, and eggplant, with the consistency of tikoy! This can be both a viand or a snack!4) fresh lumpia: I surprisingly enjoyed this! Probably because the peanut sauce that comes with it isn't overwhelming in flavor.House of Wok has dishes that are good for sharing yet budget friendly - great for families or friends!

Finally an alternate dimsum and noodle house (or simple Chinese restaurant other than Mandarin Palace which is perpetually full (being the only "real" Chinese restaurant in the BF area). Salt & pepper spareribs meal was so-so, the oyster cake was even worse (lots of oysters but too soggy). The lumpia dimsum was just OK. Their buchi was almost tasteless (lack of filling + dough too thick). I will return to try the Chinese staples such as their noodle soups and other regular dimsum, and I will adjust my rating accordingly.Service though was tops. Nicely-decorated interiors, too. Parking is easy.

Huge portions, great tasting food, decent prices! Maki soup on a cold, rainy day accompanied with their special Shanghai over Yang Chow Fried Rice. Can't go wrong here. My friends and I also enjoyed the Oyster Pancake. I appreciate that they give you TONS of oysters. Practically every bite had an oyster in it. Also, the Misua Guisado was our group's favourite. Simple noodle dish but done just right. Will definitely order that again when I come back. Overall, very enjoyable first time visit at House of Wok. Food is tasty, not greasy, and reasonably priced. Must-visit when in Paranaque area.
