It was like a field trip for driving our way to BF Homes. The long strip of restaurants along BF Homes overwhelmed both of us, slowing down Aguirre Avenue as we eyed on every restaurant. I wonder how long it would take for me to try every single unique restaurant in that town. Our only agenda was to try the first branch of Holy Crab! Finding the space was easy as spotting the bright orange and white-striped block. The Food:Crispy Gambas Overload (Php 350) - Giant battered prawns in sweet garlicky and spicy sauce. The crispiness of prawns and tasty sauce meddled harmoniously. Crispy Gambas Overload is supposed to be an appetizer that I ended up mixing with steamed rice. Sizzling Salted Duck Egg & Grilled Pork Sisig (Php 220) - Will roll my dice for this Sizzling Salted Duck Egg & Grilled Pork Sisig once again. It's the sisig that I can't resist. Minimal amount of fat together with the rich and creamy taste of sizzling salted duck egg. Two thumbs up! Clark Quay Crabs (Php 145/100g) - You can leave everything behind but not this Clark Quay Crabs, Singapore style crabs made with chili spices and a touch of lemongrass. I made sure my hands were clean before holding these crustaceans. A finger-licking dish that rests your spoon and fork for a moment. A cracker and our bare hands were on the move picking ever crab meat we can sweep. It was surely our top pick at Holy Crab! even if the crabs itself were a little overcooked. For more details and photos, visit my food blog! :)Pray, Eat and Love.Cheers,The Food Scout

Tried this seafood place in BF Homes and here are my thoughts:1. We ordered crab and shrimp and we choose garlicky lime and salted egg sauce - the shrimp and crab was fresh, it was so fresh that the meat tasted sweet. My mom and brother in law really liked it. Simot sarap as they say haha.2. Sizzling pork with salted egg - i liked the taste of this dish. I thought it is going to be salty because if the salted egg, but it wasn't3. Buttered corn - i love this! Pang alis suya actually. But the corn is sweet and the butter is a little salty so its just perfect.4. Fried chicken - taste is just normal, nothing really special. The wait staff are really friendly. They even gave us complimentary mango shake 😊

Beautiful Restaurant, I was so captured with the paintings on the walls too... and the artist who painted them is very talented.. oh and she works there too.. =) It really added a positive ambience in the restaurant...  The staff was friendly,  the food came out almost immediately... and it was a relaxing place to eat with the family... Their crab platter garlicky lime sauce was delicious and will surely come back for more... I believe that's not only food, ambience are importantly to a Restaurant, it is also the way the staff makes their customer feel, when they are dining with them...  And Holy Crab staff made us welcome and happy that we dined there!! =)Thank you very much for an amazing dinner and surely will go back and bring our family...  God Bless to you all and Keep up the good work, see you soon again.. =)

i enjoyed their shrimp w lime and salted egg though you should definitely squeeze the limes included in the bag for that extra kick. Their blue lemonade was refreshing too. I like the concept and how upbeat the place is designed.

My friend and I were craving for some seafood so we decided to check this place out. We got the Holy Crab! Catch for 650 php, though we were admittedly disappointed at the volume of crab we got. Seafood is understandably expensive, but for what it's worth, the garlicky-lime and salted egg sauce tasted fantastic. It went so well with plain rice and just made you want to keep eating! It made me get an additional order of their pork sisig, though that dish was a bit of a miss for me. It was served on a sizzling plate but wasn't sizzling, and there was so much oil swimming underneath. The sisig was also more fat than meat, and it had a weird tomato sauce-like color and taste which made me feel like I was eating menudo. Thankfully, their Crabby Island Coco Mango dessert with the pandan, ice cream, and cheese shavings was the perfect palate cleanser for all that grease.Ambiance is clean, chill, and service is prompt, but I think the mood would've been a little better had there been some music while we dined. We could practically hear ourselves slurping through our crabs, which was pretty funny. All in all, a so-so place for me.

Tried the boodle feast last April 11, 2015. The food was good although it took them almost 30 minutes to serve everything. I also felt that the price was a little bit too much for the serving. Not included in the picture was the ensaladang talong and pork liempo and the sundae.

The food was great, juicy shrimps. Could have been more. Also, id expect the shrimp would be tastier.. Great service.. Will try the mussels soon. Must try.:)

Nice, quaint restaurant in the BF Homes area. Highly-recommended is their seafood (crabs, mussels or shrimps) with lime & salted egg sauce. Their recommended rice (photo) was just so-so. I like it that their salted egg sauce was not as heavy (how do I say "not nakaka-umay"?) as those of their competitors. I would go back.
