What a find in Pegola mall. Despite its plain interiors, the food is delicious and worth your money. Tried their gyudon, alaska maki and california maki. Gyudon (P200) - Serving is big and I had a hard time finishing it because I’m so full. The hearty bowl comes with sweet onions, raw egg yolk and a glass of iced tea. Sweet deal!Alaska Maki (P90/4 pcs) - I’ll definitely order this again. It’s crunchy and tasty. The salmon and cream cheese combination is to die for. I tasted this maki concept in various restaurants and I believe Hocho’s Alaska Maki can beat some. California Maki (P55/4 pcs) - Classic good ol’ California Maki. Quality is that of a posh Japanese resto. The maki size is big as compared to cheap California Makis being sold out there. Definitely better than the usual California Makis being sold at the same price as this.

For those living in BF Homes in desperate need of Japanese food. Prices are el cheapo. Just don’t expect master chef Japanese food. Taste is passable. Still worth checking out if you’re in the BF Homes area. Interiors are a tad above pedestrian. Be wary of mosquitoes hovering in the place. Those seats against the walls emit a certain odor which may house pests. Best to order for takeout if you’re not too keen about it.

Ate here with my mom last Sunday. We ordered volcano roll, Katsudon and chicken karaage. Mom thought her katsudon was on the dry side, I mean usually with Katsudon the rice is soaked a bit with the sauce of the katsu but here the rice was completely white and therefore, sauce free. So she requested for a little extra sauce on the side... Well... After three follow ups and 30 minutes still no sauce. She just ended up making papak the pork, didn't touch the rice. Terrible, terrible service! And don't get me started about the taste/quality. Let me say that yes given the place and prices, I had nooo expectations at all. I wasn't expecting top notch Jap food, but I guess it would be fair to expect 'ok' food, not terrible food. The karaage.... Jeez.... It tasted like burnt flour. That's it. Would've been better just eating at Jollibee or Jollidyip for goodness' sake. The only good part of the dinner was the volcano roll. The rest, especially the service.... Forget it!!! Take your 150 to Jollibee or Tropical or Mcdo. You'd be much happier.

Quite surprised by this simple quick service Japanese restaurant in Pergola Mall. The place can barely sit 25 people comfortably, so their cool air conditioning is a welcome sight. The couches are a bit high so expect to be eating slouching a little bit if you're tall.Ordered their Oyakodon, Chicken Karaage and Tempura Ramen. Nothing extraordinary but surprisingly good for the price. For the rice meals it comes with a glass of iced tea. The iced tea was watered down, with barely any semblance of sweetness or tea flavor. The oyakodon was cooked hot and fresh, the entire bowl was hot and the egg, generous.Service was quick and friendly too. I have to agree with one reviewer re: the mosquitos. Be careful and try to sit not on the sides.

Tried alaska roll which is deep fried maki with salmon, crabstick and cream cheese. It could have been great if the rice-filling ratio was right which to me should be 40-60. Theirs was more like 75-25 hence the rice just soaked up the oil it was fried in. You get what you pay for in this instance. Place is fairly clean but then again i was the only diner and it was during a late lunch hour. Bec of that, staff were idle and were just chatting away which i find quite annoying because i could hear them loud and clear. I'll give this place another shot but maybe not anytime soon
