When in City of Dreams, most I'm in the casino donating some cash with my losing streak. 😭😭😭 So I seldom get to go around and check what restaurant are available in the area. Then came an FMU invite from website to finally try one out. Yey!!!The restaurant for this event was Erwin's Gastrobar. Bar!!! ting ting ting. A big smile on my face. Just walking into this resto I was already excited. Love the cool manly pub atmosphere with the cute kiddy chalkboard on the wall. The perfect ambiance that I'm looking for this days. A quiet chill 2 bottles kind of place.For their food they serve mostly comfort foods that are perfect for beer pairing. Here are some of the dish we tried out.🍺Baked Salmon Salad (470PHP) - if you love salmon you will surely enjoy this one. Mixture of salmon with feta cheese, shaved egg and greens tossed in lemon mustard dressing. Love it!🍺Herb Chicken Salad (350PHP) - this one is my fave among the two salad. This was more flavorful. Baked chicken, romaine, carrot, cashews, piri piri, spiced mango chutney and green pesto dressing. If you love great mixture of strong flavor this will be your bet.🍺Carnivore Platter (1500PHP) - a big fully loaded awesomeness meat. Combination of Pork Ribs, Chicken Wings, Beef Sliders, Hungarian Sausage and Fries. The crowds fave for the night was this chicken wings. Classic simple basic delicious chili salt wings. The beef slider was also a hit for me. Love the beef patty and the cute pickle on top of it. The Pork Ribs was also good bbq delicious. Typical Pork Ribs. Hungarian sausage you can never go wrong with sausage. Yummy.🍺Steak Sandwich (790PHP)- Ohhh this one is also yummy. Angus rib eye steak in ciabatta bread. Love the meat!!! Perfectly cook just for the sandwich. Reminds me somewhat of a Reuben sandwich. Quite expensive but worth it and good for sharing if you are not too much of a heavy eater.🍺Linguine Pasta (510PHP) - my fave among the 2 pasta. Shrimp pesto with feta cheese. I love pesto pasta just wish there were more shrimp in it.🍺Grilled Half Chicken (580PHP) - I always go for thigh part when having my grilled chicken since I hate having a dry breast part when chicken is grilled but Erwin's passed the test they served a juicy tender grilled breast part chicken. It was amazingly good. This change my perception about chicken white meat.🍺Polenta Fries (145PHP) - my first time to try this type of fries and it was good. A healthier version of potato fries and got a different kind of texture to it since it is made of cornmeal.Now for the dessert. I'm telling you their dessert here are haven!!!🍰Warm Apple Pie (260PHP) - Love the combination of the cold vanilla icecream and the delicious warm apple pie. Classic!🍰NY Style Cheesecake (260PHP) - your classic blueberry cheesecake. If your a fan of CBTL blueberry cheesecake you'll love this one.🍰Molten Chocolate Cake (290PHP) - my fave! the lava cake was so moist and yummy. Sadly it just didn't have the chocolate oozing effect when cut into half.🍰Coconut Panna Cotta (170PHP) - this is my 2nd fave. Love the mixture of tropical fruits flavor with the lovely panna cotta. The texture of the panna cotta was a great hit for me!And lastly their list of beer and cocktails is the best way to go with their food.Overall Erwin's is a perfect way to hideaway after long day in the casino. Comfort yourself with some awesome comfort food and don't forget about the dessert to distressed.

Erwin's Gastrobar, a brand all the way from Singapore, serves awesome comfort food in a chill and laidback setting amidst the casinos and fine-dine restaurants in City of Dreams. The place is very spacious and can seat up to 250-300 pax as per the attendant we asked. It was a well-lit and casual ambiance which I liked. Got a chance to be invited for a FMU here and we were served the following:🍽 Herb Chicken Salad (P350)Baked chicken, romaine, carrot, cashews, piri piri, spiced mango chutney and green pesto dressing. The chicken was okay. Greens were fresh but with a variety of flavor. 🍽 Baked Salmon Salad (P470)Lolli blonde, baby potatoes, feta cheese, shaved egg and lemon mustard dressing. I liked this salad better. The combination of salmon and the greens were good, it has this nice crunchy and soft texture. 🍽 Steak Sandwich (P790)Angus rib-eye steak in ciabatta bread with garlic butter, black pepper cheddar, arugula, tomatoes and caramelized onion. I would have loved this except for the hefty amount of caramelized onions. Not really a fan of onions so I had to separate it from the rest of the sandwhich. It was good though, the steak was juicy and tender, full of flavor and went well with the garlic butter sauce. 🍽 Carnivore Platter (P1500)Consists of chicken wings, pork ribs, beef sliders, Hungarian sausage and fries. A must order for the meat lovers! It's already good for sharing. Surprisingly, what stood out to me in this platter were the chicken wings! Seriously, it was really good! Well seasoned and fried to crispy perfection. The pork ribs were also amazing! Not too spicy and anot too sweet, soft and tender and made me want to order rice. 😂🍽 Penne (P510)Parmesan cream sauce with mushroom, green peas, prosciutto and rockets. Hmm, I have mixed feelings for this pasta. I was just confused with the green peas. Took a spoonful and there was a bittery taste that overpowered the cream sauce. 🍽 Linguini (P510)Pesto sauce with shrimp and feta cheese. Now this one, I liked! It has three of my favorite things, pesto, shrimp and feta cheese? I'm sold! Pasta was al dente, though it was kinda lacking in salt, it was good nonetheless. 🍽 Polenta Fries (P145)Cornmeal sticks with parmesan cheese and napoletana. One of my fave during the visit. I love fries and this one is a nice and healthier alternative. I kept on munching on this the whole time. 🍽 Grilled Half Chicken (P580)Marinated with herbs and lemon served with gravy. Nice white meat and well seasoned. Annnd… DESSERTS!!!🍰 NY Style Cheesecake (P260)With berry sauce and strawberry ice cream. 🍰 Molten Chocolate Cake (P290)Made with Valhrona chocolate served warm with vanilla ice cream. 🍰 Warm Apple Pie (P260)With dulce de leche and vanilla ice cream. 🍰 Coconut Panna Cotta (P170)With tropical fruits, mango and passion fruit puree. Okay, one word for the desserts. One word — SINFUL! I honestly can't make myself choose a favorite, all of the are just so good! And quite affordable too! ♥️Aside from comfort food and awesome desserts, they also serve a wide range of alcoholic drinks. Local and imported beers, cocktails, wines, coffee and milkshakes. Got to taste their Avocado Milkshake (P215) and I loved it! It's rich and creamy, made with avocado ice cream with a thick whipped cream on top.
