If watching the Transformers taught me anything its that some things are "More than Meets the Eye". This is both true in life and in the art of dining in particular. Ersao in SM Sucat is the exact embodiment of this quote. From the outside, it looks like an over sized milked tea place that sells dumplings/take out snacks on the side, more like your Serenitea. Perhaps its the color palate or over all lay out of the store , I don't know, but If you take a much closer look you will realize that they are a full fledged restaurant that serves Taiwanese cuisine and a pretty decent one at that. I was more than surprised to find out that they not only sold fried Taiwanese delicacies they also sell noodles and not just your standard take out noodles but full broth spectrum of noodles (from beef broth to seafood broth). Of the various dishes that I tasted, these are the ones that stand out. 1.) Seafood Pancake - I don't think this is in the menu that they posted in website, but they should include this because they do a really good job with this. Whats unique about their seafood pancake is that there is a melt in your mouth consistency which is not usual for the dish. You literally taste the blending of textures and flavors at the end of every bite you take. 2.) Spicy chicken - Fried well and seasoned with unique imported Taiwanese spices (tastes like a different variation of the 5 Spice condiment that we are familiar with), this dish though spicy is never overwhelming. It always maintains the 5 Spice-ish character layered underneath the spice. 3.) Seafood Milk Noodles - Quite a unique selection in a Chinese/Taiwanese restaurant, The seafood milk noodles is a great light alternative to the traditionally broth heavy Chinese noodle soup. Its light and very creamy (perhaps not for everyone but I liked it very much). 4.) Milk Tea - I would never leave this out, because their Taro and Almond milk tea is as full bodied as they come. You could smell the Taro or Almond wafting from the cup even before you take a sip. While some get the flavors drowned with the addition of Ice and other garnishes, theirs maintain the bold flavor of Taro or Almond all through out. Overall, if you've been passing on this place because of what your mind has conditioned you to believe (like myself a couple of times in the past), I urge you to take a second look, they serve great food at a very reasonable price.

Ersao (meaning "second sister-in-law") serves Taiwanese cuisines. The place is clean. The place reminds me of Serenitea, and other restaurant/stores selling milk teas (maybe bcause of the color of the restaurant: green, white). In addition, most of their posters and menu highlight in front of the restaurant were for their milk teas. I was surprised they have a wider variety of food menu, than their drinks/teas.We tried some of their dishes (including some of their bestsellers):Savoury Seafood Pancake (P195.00) - one of my favorites. It was so soft. The taste of egg, mayo/cheese, and seafood bits in a single bite will give you enough happiness, I swear.Soy Bathe Dumplings (P160.00) - The taste is ordinary for me. By the way, the plating is good.Pork Chao Fan (P150.00) - generous serving of rice. They said it was healthy, but it was fried. Some chao fan can be eaten as it is without complenting a viand, this needs to be eaten with a viand.Spicy Squid (P85.00), Spicy Chicken (P85.00) - topped with fried basil leaves. There's something on their ingredient which will mark your taste buds not only the spiciness but also its unique flavor. It was topped with fried basil leaves which was okay. That time, the squid is nearly getting chewy. The chicken is bite size only. It might look dry but it was still tasty.Lemon Chicken (P140.00) - The chicken is crunchy. I'm expecting that the taste has a touch of lemon but it seems there's none. I guess you have to put the lemon extract on the chicken first.Hong Ma Quesadilla (P190.00) - 4 pcs quesadilla. I was surprised they are serving quesadilla. What's inside it is just enough. It tasty too. It is recommend to put some dip to the quesadilla. It'll give more taste.Hong Ma Rice (P190.00) - One of my favorites. It was a marinated, soy-flavored pork belly. It was soft and easy to chew. The soy was really absorbed by the meat. No more explanation needed.Beef Stew Noodles (P260.00) - comes with a soy-like dip which is salty and it will be poured on the noodles (depending on your liking) if it's bland. I poured some on the noodles but it is still bland. The beef was not as tender as it should be.Seafood Milk Noodles (P280.00) - I like this one. It reminds me of Pinoy merienda/breakfast called "Sopas" because the soup has a similar taste. Creamy/milky. Though this one has eggs, shrimps and noodles were used. It is one of my favorites among the noodles that they served.Signature Beef Noodles (P290.00) - The beef was so soft, the taste was rich though I like the Seafood Milk Noodles more. Spiciness is tolerable. There are several veggies on it (see pictures).Maki Mishua (S: P160.00, L: P200.00) - mishua is hard to get haha. The pork was very soft though overall, t didn't mark my taste buds.Chili Squid and Peanuts (P160.00) - Yes it is truly spicy. This is one of my favorites. Very pangpulutan. It is the same squid as their Spicy Squid so the taste is good!We also tried several drinks/milk teas but I'll describe what I like:Almond Milk Tea - The smell of almond is noticeable. I like it.Sesame Grains Ice Mud - it was sweet, and grainy because they use sesame grains. You'll feel it in your mouth. I like it.Ice Coffee Float - it should be mixed well otherwise, the sweetness of ice cream will take over. Anyway, I like it.Taro Milk Tea - it was so sweet but I like it. I can consume a serving of it.Lemon SplashAvocado Fruit ShakeRipe Mango Fruit ShakeMango FloatI like how they put the actual pictures of the dishes/teas on their menu. The menu listing in website is outdated. I hope website can update it. The manager and the servers were welcoming, and assisting whenever we request for water, utensils, etc. Kudos! I was also informed that they also sell tapioca pearls. There's more than that which I didn't know about Ersao other than the initial impression that they only sell milk teas (the store reminds me of Infinitea and Serenitea) and I'm glad I was able to join the meetup to know those things.Thank you Ersao and websitePH for inviting me.FMU - Ersao, SM Sucat, Paranaque City, June 29, 2018 (11:00 PM).

Ersao SM Sucat 11am June 29, 2018 FMU - I arrived quite early so I had a chance to take pics before customers arrive. There were several drinks & foods that were prepared for sampling.Quantity : Serving sizes of the drinks were typical. Some of the food items were good for one and the rest were good for two.Quality & Taste : I like all the drinks except for the raspberry flavored one which tastes like candy. The two drinks I like most is the sesame grains ice mud and avocado fruit shake. I liked the seafood milk noodles the most. The seafood pancake was good we had two servings. I also like the hong ma with the tender pork chunks with fat. The chili squid with peanuts is a good companion for liquor/wine/beer. The rest were all ok except for; the lemon chicken is a bit tough, the thin beef strips of the beef stew noodles were also tough.Price & Overall : The pricing is quite reasonable. They also sell raw items/ingredients. There were definitely more hits than misses for the food & drinks sampled. Overall rating is above average.

I have been in this place twice already. Their dimsums are quite good but I have to be honest I don’t like their milk tea. It’s not so good.

Ersao's been a long time fixture in San Beda Alabang and my brother even swears by their affordable shakes and milkteas. This branch is conveniently located at the mall expansion wing of SM City Sucat. They have ample seating for dine in guests as well as a take away freezer in case you want to bring home some Taiwanese goodies home for your family to enjoy. From noodles, to dimsum. They even have tapioca pearls and chili sauces for that instant craving to be satisfied. We sampled the following dishes during our stay: Signature Beef Noodles, thick soba noodles on a savory dark broth. Packed with flavor and herbs sure to warm the soul. Paired with Soybathe Dumplings, the wrap is not too thin, the meat is delciously swimming in light soy sauce. The seafood pancake is similar to an onomiyaki, savory and rich seafood filled batter fried until golden, topped with a thick mayo dressing. Among the drinks, I enjoyed the Avocado Shake, richly sweet, fruity and filled with tapioca pearls. Recommended.Disclaimer: Sponsored dining by SM City Sucat x Tara sa South and Ersao.

Super typhoon Ompong (international name Mangkhut) was enroute to  the Philippines last Friday when I decided to go ahead and attend the  Coffee Crawl sponsored  by SM City Sucat and TIGASOUTHKABA...

My college favorite! More than the milk teas, I normally order their dumplings with rice! My all time meal in college! Brings back a lot of memories! What surprised me is their chinese omonomiyaki and their laksa! It was absolutely good! Didn’t even know that they actually offer these! Can’t wait to come back for more! 😊❤️

This is a new Taiwanese restaurant in Sm Sucat and we decided to try it. We ordered radish cake, chicken curry rice, gyoza (pork), hong ma rice and riped mango shake. I love their raddish cake, mango shake and especially hong ma rice because of the tenderness of the pork (2 big slices of pork). The serving and price of the food are reasonable. The place is okay however I noticed that there are flies inside the restaurant. The other dishes that we tasted needs improvement and I know the management will take care of that.

I am curently at Ersao, a new taiwanese restaurant in SM Sucat. The place was very cozy and not crowded. The staff was very courteous and friendly. I ordered the Hongma and the Signature beef noodles all just for myself. I waited for 5 to 7 minutes for my meal to arrive. OMG! Both dishes are a must try. I love the taste, the serving is enough for one so I had to order two dishes. i enjoyed my food. I am ready for my me day.

Wider space compared to their Taft Branch; it looks cleaner and has a better ambiance. Although I got disappointed because of their food servings.I recommend: Spicy Chicken with Rice - sulit mealI don't enjoy their milk teas, but I do appreciate the 2 flavors in one cup! I think that's a must try.
