My website officemate, KB, discovered this restaurant sometime ago and recommended it to me. Its location and parking is not ideal but if you're after a hole in the wall place run by an Italian, this is it! Had a good dinner with my family. They had me at Focaccia (I love bread) and Beef Carpaccio (not on the menu as not always available, lucky for us they had it last night)! Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza -yum, Ravioli Truffle Cream stuffed with spinach - delish, iced tea is homemade and just the way I like it, Orange cake - moist and good serving portion, gelato - Vanilla is 2 thumbs up (reminded me and my brother of our childhood) , pistachio and strawberry were equally good. These are the items I would definitely go back for. Other items we had were a salad, 2 pasta dishes, a chicken entree. These didn't stand out. I wont go into specifics, they weren't bad, I just would not order them again and prefer to try something else. Service was warm and efficient. Very enjoyable night for us!

There's website paradise along congested Sucat Road. In the middle on what seems to be a sea of endless traffic stoplights, crazy jeepneys, and rows of flower shops near Manila Memorial Park, there's a small house called Daniele's that serves authentic Italian food. Drive too fast and you might miss it, it a small signage and a chair literally glued to its wall. If you're familiar with Bellini's in Cubao, well...Daniele is operated by the owner's son. (Movie trivia: Bellini's is the restaurant where they shot the movie One More Chance, yep that awkward scene where Popoy meets Basha after they break up.Anyway back to Daniele's, their exact name is Daniele's Casa Mia Italian Restaurant the place is a hodgepodge of Italian kitsch. Papparazi photos everywhere. Paintings. Cheesy Leaning Power of Pisa murals. But the food is amazingly good and with Mr. Daniele around, he will personally assist and offer you a lot of goodies not on the menu.We started off with their bread and pate. And a parmesan with arugula (not in pic) This was ok. The arugula made the sliced parmesan hard to swallow because its quite bitter. We first ordered the 4 cheese pizza. Mr. Daniele suggested we try their Zuppa, a special dish off the menu, its actually a seafood tomato soup for sharing. This was good. We also had two pastas, a variation of their Frutti di mare with Fettucine and Truffle oil pasta with mushroom and prosciutto. They were kinda generous with their servings and we were overwhelmed we ordered too much.

Daniel of Daniel's Casa Mia Italian restaurant is the son of the owner in Cubao X's Bellini's Italian restaurant so if you go here you'll see similarities with their dishes and even in their cooking. Two words: pasta and afforgato (Affogato is a scoop of vanilla gelato topped with a shot of hot espresso) . These two will bring you to Italian website heaven once you've had a taste of it in Daniel's Mia Casa. My favorite Italian pasta of all time, the ravioli, is also served here. Aside from their Pizzas, their pasta dishes are also something to rave about. Their menu consists of 30 pasta dishes (again, those off the menu are not yet included) including red sauce, white sauce pesto and truffle cream sauce. For meat and potato lovers I recommend the Bistecca Maiale con Porcini. It’s pork steak in Porcini sauce with potatoes on the side. For a great appetizer, order the Bruschetta ai Fungi, which is toasted bread topped with the glorious mixture of tomatoes and mushroom. The tomato flavor is strong in this one but the mushroom balances it out. *One let down for me is the Daniel's special pizza because the meat were undercooked so it tasted a bit raw. :( I hope they get it right next time. Overall, I will be back for the ravioli and the affogato! :) I hate that this place is all the way in Sucat so after this particular venture of mine I haven't visited it again (YET) If I'm arounf=d the area again I'll give this affordable italian resto a visit.read a detailed review here: http://www.wheninmanila.com/danieles-casa-mia-italian-restaurant-off-the-menu-please/2/

I love restaurants where owners welcome their customers and talk about their restaurants for awhile like in this place. The waiter knew everything about their menu as well as the ones not on the menu. The service was fast too! Love the ambience and the food.

Daniele's Casa Mia perhaps would be the most authentic Italian restaurant I have been to. From the simple home decors to the servers saying Bon Appetit and the great food, one would surely enjoy every aspect of their experience at Daniele's. I was able to try their prosciutto with mushroom pizza as well as the crowd favorite four cheese pizza in which both tasted really good in its simplicity. Their ravioli and mushroom risotto were good as well. My experience with them was near perfect if not for the scarcity of parking spaces.
