Crazy Katsu has been me and my friends’ college staple. We used to eat this AT LEAST once a week. Our favorite order is the chicken katsu and we seriously drench it with a lot of japanese mayonaise. Warning: Crazy Katsu is addicting as hell. There isnt a katsu place that serves the same kind of flavor and style like this. Always good vibes when we eat here. You can just never go wrong and never get tired with this place.

If you're looking for a hearty rice meal in BF Paranaque, look no further than Crazy Katsu. Here, you can have a large serving of katsu and rice for just 200 pesos. My mom, younger sister, and I went to have dinner at Crazy Katsu on a weekday. It was nearing 9 PM, so we didn't expect a whole lot of people to be dining. True enough, there was only one customer cbeing served as we got in.The restaurant space itself looks small from the outside. Once you do step into the dining area, you'll realize that it's actually quite spacious. I'd say there are 9 three-top tables in the whole restaurant which would perhaps seat 27 to 30 people at one go. Floors and tabletops were noticeably clean. One thing I'd like the staff to do though is to get rid of the "kulob" smell that perpetuated throughout the restaurant. Oh yes, they could also also afford to lower the temp of the air-conditioner, too.Upon being seated to our table by our lovely server, my sister and I perused the menu. It's a pretty short menu, I tell you. Some people might be turned off by short menus since they immediately associate one-page menus with limited food choices. For Crazy Katsu, a small but well-put-together menu works for their advantage. Since there are only maybe 10 to 12 dishes to choose from, I was sort of assured that each dish was cooked to perfection. My sister and I decided to get a meal each. Before you judge us, please note that we were very hungry. I got the Tonkatsu while my sister ordered the Chicken Katsu. In addition, my mom got the Gyoza appetizer. We waited for maybe 15 to 20 minutes until our server came back with our food.My tonkatsu came laying on a bed of shredded cabbage and served alongside a cup of rice and sauce on the side. It's serving size was huge, too! The Tonkatsu itself was almost as big as my hand. I'd estimate it to be at most two-thirds of an inch thick. The best part of the Tonkatsu was its golden brown crust, the trademark sign of a perfectly fried piece of pork. So, what does it taste like? I could tell that the chef of Crazy Katsu really knows what their doing. Here's why: the pork didn't have pork-y taste at all. On the contrary, it had a very clean taste to it. It was also perfectly and evenly cooked. When it comes to Tonkatsu, I often prefer the the end pieces since they have way more crust than most parts of the pork. But given that the whole thing had an even coating of fried breadcrumbs all over, I was a able to satisfy my crunch craving by eating even the middle pieces. Plus, it wasn't oily at all. Again, another marker of a perfectly capable and experienced chef. The Chicken Tonkatsu was just as perfect. It was also served over a bed of shredded cabbage. In addition, the sauce was poured over the caggabe, making it look like a salad of sorts. Diced chives and red chili peppers were also sprinkled over the dish. Serving size? HUGE. It's definitely something you can split with another person. As for its taste, it was divine as well. The chicken, like the pork, had a very clean and grease-free taste to it. The chicken they used was also super tasty and tender. Thus led me to Ithink they use all dark meat for this dish. I may be wrong, but either way, the dish was tasty. Our Gyoza was okay. It could have been filled with a but more stuffing though. The gyoza was also slightly greasy, so when you'd take a bite, your lips will be slightly coated in grease. Then again, each piece had nicely browned bottoms. The Gyoza skins were also not too thin nor thick, so the ratio of skin to stuffing was well-balanced.Our Thursday dinner at Crazy Katsu was enjoyable overall. My mom, sister, and left with full bellies which helped us sleep soundly that night. It may not be the classiest place to eat dinner, but it's a good place to have a hearty meal for a fair price.

Friendly staff, cozy interiors, good and comforting food. Enjoyed our dinner tonight over their Best Seller Chicken Katsu, Katsu Curry, Chicken Katsu Salad and Katsudon. Ordered miso soup, add on cabbage and Japanese mayo. The mayo used to be served table side in a squeeze bottle, eat to your hearts content but now they charge 5pesos for a small portion. Cabbage is also priced at 5pesos. Food was great, portions even better. The chicken katsu can be shared by two, just order an additional cup of rice. Parking can be difficult during peak hours since they share it with The Burgery next door. Recommended.

The food was great, the service is also good. We ordered Katsu Curry and Chicken Katsu. Very recommended! The price is also reasonable. The place is quiet small but overall it was ok.

A large serving of katsu for only 200pesos? Count me in. Not exaggerating on the large part. It's so generous, I do a happy dance every time a steaming plate gets placed right in front of me.Katsu curry is also a must try. It never disappoints. Always get their gyoza. Your meal is never complete without it.But I'm still not a fan of their Katsudon. Still falls short on my tastebuds every time I try it. And I've been going here for 3 years now. It's just not enjoyable or memorable.

Easy to find location, just along Aguirre. Place is kind of small. I think, it can only accommodate 20 people at the same time. Airconditioning is great. Limited food choices. Food is ok. Price of food is affordable.

First time to tryout this restaurant, and it seems quaint and has good food. Would come back to try other items in the Menu. We ate the Katsudon and the Chiken Katsu. The chicken katsu has a bit of spice on it but to those who don’t eat spicy, just remove it coz it’s just toppings. Honestly, the 4star is due to the service during our stay. They were on time but not as attentive.

I expected more since a lot of people were raving about it. It didn't have much flavor for me. It was very average. The servers looked bored to serve as well.

I’m crazy for katsu and if you’re craving for yabu and on a budget, this can take place. It’s not gonna be as fine as yabu but for the price, it’s good!
