I was curious since I always see this restaurant along Doña Soledad Avenue. After trying it I would say it was simply strategically located. Food on the other hand is not memorable. Miso soup was diluted. Takoyaki was spiced okay but too... starchy. The rolls were mostly rice. Service was slow and more time was spent waiting than enjoying the food. Would I come back? Maybe if there's a super promo of sorts. Not worth braving the DSA traffic for.

The food tastes good and was served quickly. However, it's a bit pricey for a taste that is just okay. I also suggest to replace the old spoon and bowls. The staff needs to be a bit more accommodating and lively.

Parking: Better come early, this place only offers about 3 parking slots in front of the restaurant if I remember. My friend that I rode with had to park in the Caltex beside, luckily though, they had customer parking there.Service: Waiters were always attentive and were helpful.Food: Spicy Tuna Salad - Can use some work, the one I was served had flakes that were makunat instead of crispy.Chef's Specialty Roll - A bit weird at first, but turned out really great. Don't know if I would order it if I were alone, but if I had someone to share it with, then yes. Mount Fuji Roll - This was really delicious. Definitely would order this if ever I come across this restaurant again.

We ate at this place tonight for the first time. We picked seats at the far end of the 1st floor, next to a table stacked with an assortment of condiments, table napkins, chopsticks, etc. Frankly it was an eyesore, so hoping they wouldn't keep it in plain view next time or at least tidy it up.We had the Chashu and Tonkotsu ramen, ebi tempura with gyoza, tuna sashimi, and some refreshments. The ramen was passable but didn't really wow us. The noodles were a bot too thick for my liking. What I did like about the ramen was the portion/serving size. The ebi tempura was also okay, as well.as the gyoza, though I'd still prefer the juicier, fresher, and bigger sized ebi tempura from their nearby competitor.Overall, it was a positive dining experience. They would be my second choice when it comes to Japanese food in this area.

Still the best Japanese Resto for me at a very reasonable price. My personal Favorites are seafood ramen, tempura, gyoza and assorted sushi. Its now under new management.

The place was okay, not that spacious. The food was okay, we ordered katsudon, gyoza and yakitori. The katsudon was quite bland. The yakitori tasted like it's already spoiled. We just took a bite and didn't eat the rest. The gyoza was the only one that tasted good - great even.

I've been craving for some japanese food a lot lately so for today's dinner, I went to Bono Tei with my childhood bestfriend. We were the only people who ate there at that time and I was actually expecting a fullhouse but, I guess not. I'm not a big sushi fan to I took this chance to trying at least just one kind. We had the Salmon Nigri as per suggestion. I asked our server what was their best seller and she had to call someone else to answer my question. Better brush up on the menu. I had the Katsu don plus a plate of Gyoza with that and some iced tea to wash it down. My bestfriend had the Ten don and mango shake. The katsudon was okay. What I liked about it was that it was freshly cooked. My bestfriend was also okay with what she had. They also had free miso soup with our meals! I actually liked it since it's not as salty just like the ones I've had before. The Gyoza was pretty good! It was fresh, not that soggy, not that crisp as well. Just like how I like my gyoza. And for the nigri, well since it was my first time trying it out, I dont have anything to compare it with. What I liked about it tho is that it didnt have that off smell that raw fish have. And the rice they've used was pretty good. Price wise, a bit on the expensive side. Understandable, tho. I didnt expect their food to be quite cheap. Also, food was served pretty fast and I liked how the place feels like. It has a modern touch to it but, the art on the ceiling gave it that old japanese house feel. Servers were actually very nice too. They didnt look bored even if no one was eating there except us. Haha! Would be coming back to try more sushi. Maybe next time, I already know how to use chopsticks.

This is a place we go to if we want comfort food but we do t feeling like driving so far.My daughter is known here to be the tempura baby. She eats tempura at this place every weekend before until she finally said I want to take a break from it. She enjoys tempura or seafood in general. She is not a meat eater. The adults always have the rolls. We always order 2 different kinds of rolls to share. The spicy tuna roll is a favorite among others. We are a big fan of their Kani salad. The ratio of the cucumber and Kani is just right and also their mayo is perfect amount. We also ordered the shoyu ramen which was not very impressive. Although, we have ordered that before and was good.Aside from the really nice lady my daughter always talks to, the guy at the parking is always a pleasant person to receive us.On the not so good side, there is one lady who took my orders and I did not see any willingness to be at the place. Argh! Really bugs me, those kind. I have always been particular about the servers since when I or my family goes out to eat, I feel as if it's my/our time to relax and feel stress free.On another note, they deliver in the area! Great plus side!

My officemates and I went here. We are all first timer. We ordered different kinds on the Donburi category.I ordered the ebi, it consist of I think 3 or 4 pieces of tempura, with miso soup. The sauce for tempura was a little bit bland for me.We ordered kani salad, yakisoba, and maki, too.All in all, the food and place were good.

Food: Nothing special. I don't mind paying more if the quality is good but their food is mediocre for the price. Service was quick. Too quick. Made me doubt the freshness of their food kind of quick. Ambience: I like the interior but the place is rather small. The place has a/c but can get pretty hot. For a traditional japanese themed restaurant, they have a TV that plays local channels at a loud volume and it kinda ruins the mood lol. I would've given half a point more if they played traditional Japanese music or even none at all. Would I visit again? Nah. Hanako is a few blocks away and they serve cheaper and better food.
