This place is like a level up of a canteen. It doesn't have a smell, but you know the place could be more maintained. I was starving from heavy traffic on my way down south and from cancelled plans. The food is cheap! I'm not used to it being cheap anymore. Living in Makati has made me expect high prices for food. I ordered a shawarma rice and upgraded it to Basmati P180. It didn't take long to be served given that i was the only customer. The basmati rice was a heaping! What i like about it is it is also soft and fluffy. The food is simply done and served to you. There is no plating of any kind. But i like that it's broken down this way because it makes you choose which condiment to mix with the meat. I started out with onions and tried to include tomatoes. That didn't work for me so i doused the meat and onion mixture with garlic and chili sauce. Ahhh! That gave it more flavor and tasted more like shawarma to me. I slowly added the cucumber and it balanced out the spice. I didn't doubt that i wouldn't finish the rice, but i ended up leaving some. This food always makes me want to drink a soda P40. If you look up, you'll see several shisha waterpipes. Am not sure if this is for display or for use.

It was our first time in Behrouz Santana Grove but we've eaten many times in Behrouz QC. We were hungry after more than an hour on the road from Batangas. We wanted humus and pita bread-- the pita bread was perfect but the humus had more garlic and yogurt than we expected. The Chelo Beef Kabab was prepared well as we longed for. We tried also their Chelo Khoresht Bademjan, it was good but could have been better with more tomato sauce. The price for a complete meal is about P300, quite steep but a meal is good for sharing by two. On the way home we saw Behrouz BF Paranaque being constructed. Good it is nearer our house :)

I've dined here some years ago and wasn't impressed. My opinion hasn't changed so far. The beef didn't have that "Middle Eastern" taste but rather tasted like simple ground beef used for burgers. I found both the garlic and chili sauces too runny and lacking in flavor --- this is definitely the secret to a great kebab meal so they should improve on these. And I agree with the previous reviewer that the meat was too oily.  I know of better kebab joints for 2/3 their prices.

Quick meal after dropping by the cemetary...We had a fairly easy time traversing the usually blocked EDSA on a holiday. We planned to stay longer at the cemetary but the weather did not cooperate. My husband and I decided to go off on our own and pop by Behrouz. We both ordered the chelo beef kebab with basmati rice and shared an order of mutabal. I liked their mutabal actually, nothing greasy. Chelo beef kebab was generous with the rice. Garlic sauce aplenty as well as hot sauce if you are so inclined. Serving time is fast and the place was relatively clean. A step above what a canteen looks like. But at those prices, I really can't complain.Just found out that they serve ice cream cakes. Looked interesting but we didn't indulge.

I like places or restaurants where I can feel like I'm travelling. Not the usual place where I go for Shawarma but, nice place to be if you wanna try something new or if you are looking for a classic feel for food and venue. My friend brought me here for a quick lunch after work, but I didn't feel like eating rice at that moment (I got curious about the Basmati rice when I saw it on the menu, though). Still, I ended up ordering Shawarma which is good. I like that it comes with two different sauces (spicy and I remember my friend said, the white sauce is made of yogurt, etc.). Anyway, I enjoyed it, they have nice crews as well. I might go back and try their Basmati rice next time.

I want to start by making it clear that Behrouz isn't a bad restaurant. A bunch of us dined there on the eve of typhoon Omphong. We ordered a few things: hummus, chicken and beef chelo kebabs, basmati rice, BTO (a dish of ground beef, tomatoes and onions) and ox brain. I wanted something with lamb so I asked for a lamb kebab platter; they didn't have lamb. I ordered the takka, which were kebabs made with either tenderloin or striploin; I was told they didn't have that either and they only had chicken and minced beef kebabs, so I went with the beef chelo platter. My friend didn't like the texture of long grain rice so she asked for jasmine, and yes, you guessed it, they didn't have that too.I wasn't really expecting anything amazing from the looks of the place. I received two decent portions of ground beef kebab, grilled tomatoes and a generous helping of basmati rice. The meat was anything but aromatic. My guess is the cook is local and not well-trained or the dishes are tempered to match the palate of local diners. One of my friends grew up in the Middle East, and suffice it to say that she was underwhelmed by the hummus. Even the choco banana shake tasted like powder sans the banana, according to another friend. At Behrouz, food is cheap, portions are huge and service is quite prompt, but you definitely get what you pay for in terms of taste and food quality. They're open until 5am so that's a plus. Give it a chance if you're in the area, but think twice if your idea of Persian food is more than just garlic sauce and bottled chili.

Popped in for a quick lunch. Ordered the beef khebab. It was an odd mix of weird experiences. When I got there, I was not greeted by service people. So I had to figure out where to sit on my own.The meat taste was a bit off. Was not flavorful and had a weird after taste. Why hide it under a bed of basmati rice?! The only saving grace was the garlic and spicy sauce. For dessert, I got an earful of the kitchen complaining about organic ingredients. I was the only customer in the restaurant but nonetheless I was a customer.

Was craving for shawarma and beef kebab on a late night and it was the nearest one I could find. Everything about the food is just average - from the way it was plated and served to how it tasted. The shawarma was bland and the kebab was just okay. I don't think I'll ever eat here again.
