The usual pizza is flat right?  Yellow Cab came up with something creative and fun to eat, the Dear Darla Pizza. Well, it has the same crust of their standard pizza topped with alfalfa sprouts and arugula as its main ingredient. A less-guilt pizza because of it’s healthier toppings. It’s been out for some time now, but this month they paired it  with a beer that will surely match the pizza’s flavor. What a better way to celebrate the Oktoberfest, a  pizza plus a cold beer!

Yellow Cab’s Dear Darla Pizza is a unique kind of  pizza. It requires you to stuff the arugula and alfalfa sprouts inside the thin crust pizza and then roll it. Actually, it’s not too heavy for a pizza because it has lesser toppings but don’t worry it doesn’t mean that it’s not delicious.

Something fresh and lovely is happening at Yellowcab as they revamped their menu by adding new creations. So why the wait? If you want to get straight to the good stuff, try Yellow Cab's newest offers.DEAR DARLA: SPECIALTY HAND-ROLLED PIZZA. Pizzas! we eat them by squares, triangles, circles, how bout rolled up? Basically, Dear Darla is their version of rolled up pizzas with Arugula and Alfalfa Sprouts as the basic toppings mixed with their 5 different awesome flavors that can be ordered regular for 395Php, large for 635Php and new yorker for 895Php. I know a lot of you guys are carbs conscious but hey, what's the best part of eating these pizzas is that you get good balance of healthy-luscious meal at the same time. Not bad eh?These are the 5 different flavors you can choose from.1. NYU MARGHERITA - Perfect canvas of tomatoes, cheese and fresh basil leaves drizzled with olive oil - unusually rolled for experience2. ROASTED GARLIC & RICOTTA- Ricotta cheese and roasted garlic with mozzarella and Romano cheese. Topped on the same thin crust pizza, served with arugula and alfalfa sprouts3. CHICKEN CORONA- Thin crust pizza with southwestern style tender strips of chicken served with iceberg, romaine lettuce and a squeeze of lime juice for that salsa punch4. PROSCIUTTO HAM- A sauce-less rolled pizza topped with prosciutto, fresh tomatoes, caramelized onions and cheese, served with arugula and alfalfa sprouts5. OG DARLA- Rolled thin crust pizza loaded with fresh arugula and alfalfa sprouts for a unique experience. Toppings include pepperoni, button mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, black olives and capersI did taste all of them and they are equally delicious as the others. My personal favorite would have been the OG Darla because not that it was a classic but it was just full packed with different textures of ingredients. And by the way, these flavors can be paired with beers of your choice from Corona, Stella Artois to Peroni, it's definitely up to you.Aside from the pizzas they also added the premium chicken fillet poppers designed to fuel your hunger without stopping your hustle. They call it the HUSTLER which can be bought for about 395Php.These are the flavors you can choose from:1. Hot Chix - Crisp and juicy chicken tossed in our spicy wing sauce2. Sriracha-Spicy wings with a touch of sweetness and mild sour taste dry-rubbed in Sriracha powder3. Salt & Pepper- Blended classic salt & pepper chicken speckled with fresh black pepper granules4. Garlic - Tossed with garlic butter sauce sprinkled with parmesan cheese and garnished with dried basil5. New York BBQ- Mixed in a sweet and slightly sour Smokey hickory-flavored sauce6. Korean BBQ- Mixed in a sweet, tangy sauce made of sesame oil and spices; garnished with spring onions for that additional punchAnother personal favorite would have been the Korean BBQ flavor coz the balance of sweetness and tangy flavor is just soo good plus the chicken meat is tender and succulent. I like to bring these snacks to the movies paired with ice cold sodas. That's just awesome! So you can visit the nearest Yellowcab branch near you and experience a filling, satisfying delights. Kudos!

My go to nearby pizza place now offers hand rolled pizzas! Try out Yellow Cab’s Dear Darla hand rolled pizzas and I guarantee you, you will definitely wanna try them again! These hand rolled pizzas are best paired with an ice cold beer, together with their chicken poppers.

We know about wine and cheese pairings but beer and pizza? It was something we were eager to try. Luckily, one of the go-to pizza joints in the metro, Yellow Cab Pizza Co. (@yellowcabpizza) will start offering this as a meal combo in their stores soon and we got to try them yesterday at their Commercenter branch in Alabang. There will be different pairings to choose from but basically you will choose your pizza flavor from their specialty hand rolled pizza, the Dear Darla series and it will come with a paired craft beer.We got to try the different flavors of the Dear Darla Series - NY Margherita, OG Darla, Roasted Garlic with Ricotta, Chicken Corona, and Prosciutto Ham. We generally enjoyed topping the Dear Darla with arugula and alfalfa sprouts and wrapping it into one roll of greasy goodness. in terms of flavor, our favorite was the Prosciutto Ham. We liked that the saltiness of the ham complemented the peppery taste of the arugula. What made it even better was combining it with the refreshing flavor of cold brew. The beers that they served us were Peroni, Corona, and Stella Artois. We also got to try their Squad-Box Chicken in NY Barbecue and Korean Barbecue flavors. if you’re into the sweet side, go for the NY Barbecue but if you’re feeling tangy, get the Korean Barbecue. Either way, they are perfect for beer, too.The staff were very accomodating and helpful, especially the manager who was nice enough to answer all of our questions. Most of the Yellow Cab branches are open 24 hours but this one is only until 2AM but its still perfect for all your midnight pizza fix.
