honestly menchi katsu is one of the best-tasting katsus i've ever had my entire life. i think the price is just right for something as delicious as this meal. it also helps that there's side dishes that include cabbage, fruits and soup in order to neutralize the taste of the meat if it ever gets too much.

Never really a fan of katsu because i find katsu equivalent to chicken nuggets. Hehe so i tried yabu 3x — always not happy and satisfied. I find their food expensive for something that taste like mcdonalds chicken nuggets. I only like the unlimited salad. :(

Dined here with friends thoughI'm not really a fan of katsudon but tried it for experience.I ordered the Kurobuta set, the most expensive item on the menu, because I'm curious about the black pig since it is hailed as the kobe of the pork world. I'm not sure what the Kurobuta should taste like but it didn't taste anything special at all. For me its just an ordinary deep fried pork chop. The ground sesame dipping sauce is too strong and kinda salty. But I love the unlimited cabbage, rice, and the miso soup.The staff are ok, attentive enough to bring your refills but they totally forgot the fruit which is included on my set.I might come back though to try their other food items.

So far, this if my all time favorite restaurant! I’ve been here a couple of times and I am so happy and satisfied on every visit I do in Yabu. I love how tender their Katsu meals are plus you can have unli rice, vegetables and soup all you want. Here are some of my recommendations for you to try: Premium Kurobuta Katsu Sets, Menchi Katsu Sets and Korokke Tamago.

Katsu Curry is what I usually order. Yummy sauce with a little kick of spiciness👅 Always worth the price because of the serving. Another favorite is the Menchi Katsu👅

The food was okay but the taste is similar to other tonkatsu joints. Nothing special. The only thing I like are the unlimited side dishes.

Our go-to place for tonkatsu.We've been to this Yabu branch more than a dozen times. If you haven't been, it's a bit confusing to get to. The restaurant is in one of those restaurant areas that doesn't get much foot traffic. Even so, this place is almost always busy. Not surprising as it's a great place to dine. The service is great, though they do get overwhelmed sometimes during the busy hours.Yabu is similar to tonkatsu restaurant in Japan in that they also provide unlimited rice, cabbage salads, miso soup, and fruits. The food is quite delicious and the prices are reasonable for what you're getting. Everything we've had so far is good but our favorites are the hire katsu and the menchi katsu.

Food is great. You get unlimited lettuce, rice, and soup here. It feels a bit cramp though but oh well. Price is a bit high but very worth it.
