The black pig is a drinking place only enjoyable if you have some company around. Their food isnt lacking as well. They have an assortment of group sets waiting to be ordered in advanced ,but they do cater for small groups as well.A dinner here after watching a movie at commercenter should be a fulfilling end to your day.

Haven’t had time to write a review in a while but this restaurant deserves all the praise! I was honestly so blown away by the food that I tell everyone to visit this place whenever someone asks me for a recommendation. We ordered their charcuterie board which included jamon iberico(!!), grilled octopus, a pork dish, and dessert. I can’t remember what they’re called because the menu uploaded here isn’t updated but trust me when I say that they’re AMAZING. Both entrees were so good but if I have to pick just one, the grilled octopus really took my breath away. Who knew octopus could be that tender and delicious??? My boyfriend, on the other hand, picked the pork dish but loved both dishes as well. Overall, The Black Pig exceeded all expectations and after our meal, we both agreed that this was the best restaurant we’ve tried this year. Can’t wait to be back to try the rest of the menu! ❤️Love the ambiance - perfect for dates, great service, and prices are just right. You’ll get your money’s worth, I promise.

We were lucky enough to have been invited to the Christmas party of the bosses. And because it was a Christmas party for the "Big Boys", we were served with a dinner buffet spread of their most delicious dishes consisting of:Mixed Salad Leaves, Red Cabbage, Fried Wonton, Ponkan Wedges, Sesame DressingRoasted Eggplant, Miso Glaze, QuinoaVegetable PaellaRoasted Pork Belly, Apple and Bacon ChutneyChocolate PralineService was attentive and prompt, ambiance was very exclusive and high-end, and food was nothing short of amazing. The Black Pig is perfect for intimate celebrations, whether just with a loved one or with a small group.

It really shows how good the ingredients and the preparation is in the final product which is the food. Staff is really nice and the ambience is great.

This is my favorite restaurant in the South. We always order the lamb rack. It is very good and reasonably priced. The service is quick and polite. They serve wine in carafe, which is smart.

A surprising place in the CommerCentre Mall. Nicely laid out. Small and intimate with a nice atmosphere. Tasty charcuterie board and mouthwatering Reds. Try the boned beef lasagna and beware of the Gin and Absinthe cocktail. Packs a punch!!👊🏻☺️

I checked on my review of The Pigpen, and I described it as one of those places I "dare not get into for fear of the steep prices of the food." Well, the same feeling emanated upon seeing The Black Pig's classy facade. Once inside, the chic interiors call out to you to sit down, have a glass of wine, and relax. The feeling of being pampered and treated like royalty is definitely in the air. They have a few private areas perfect for intimate gatherings or small meetings. One is next to their in-house bar, while the other is more subdued and can be hidden with a few foldable partitions. They have another bar that opens up to a veranda or open area of sorts, making this a perfect lounge setting or even a cocktail party set-up. Their furniture was well-curated and looks so inviting. As expected, the owner, Miss Berna Garriz, was there to welcome us. I was elated she recognized me from a previous meet-up at The Pigpen. I expected good things from The Black Pig, and oh boy, was I definitely spot on with my expectations.Initially, they brought out the new additions to their menu. The Black Pig Charcuterie Board (P950) is a fantastic spread of The Black Pig's expensive Spanish hams featuring the Jamon Iberico de Bellota, Lomo Iberico, Chorizo Iberico, Salchichon Iberico and the Salami Milano. It comes with a side of sliced toasted baguettes, a handful of greens amd a red tomato salsa-like dip. A perfect sampler of appetizers to open that meeting or event, you can also opt for The Black Pig Sausage Selection of Bratwurst, Hungarian, and of course. cheese! A few cocktails and this definitely keeps the ball rolling! They also featured delicately cooked Beef Cheeks (P850), plated beautifully with a sliver of somewhat cooked/roasted marrow. There was also Pan-seared Scallops (P750), with bone marrow, pickled onion and calamansi butter sauce. Dollops of caviar-like consistency and a citrus wedge amidst the light golden circles of the scallops make this plate more colorful. As the conversation with the restaurant owner started, we were served 2 kinds of risotto - the Black Ink Risotto, pegged at P420, and Shrimp Risotto, also at P420. The Black Ink Risotto was certainly a dreamy concoction of sauteed calamari in parmesan emulsion, making it creamy and silky. The Shrimp Risotto was just as creamy as well, and the briny crustacean jus shines through the smooth consistency of the rice.Another star of the spread was their Mushroom Truffle Canneloni (P450). The earthy flavor of the mushrooms combined with white truffle oil was made even better with the parmesan sauce enveloping each delicate canneloni. Each bite of this was full of that tasty mushroom truffle. I'm sure you can't get enough of this too! They have a very unique plating for their Pork Belly (P490) as it has white beans and chorizo. It was appetizing, and there was quite an intriguing flavor attributed to the pungent spice of the chorizo.Of course, they also have their signature Black Pig Burger at P390. You can choose Rib-eye or Short rib patties, smothered with caramelized onions and served with more crispy onion rings and fries. Pair this with a tray of more fries and their crispy Calamares at P350. Or opt for the Asian Mix Salad (P390) for a healthier alternative. I like that it has sesame seeds and fried wanton strips on it, with juicy ponkan wedges that make it a bit more refreshing. You also have the option of adding shrimp or chicken to make it savory.Last thing they brought forth from their kitchen was this Salt-Crusted Sea Bass. This was a good deal at P790 as the fish was fresh, briny yet flavorful. The salt crust technique was able to lock the moisture and flavor in, making the sea bass a favorite among the foodies. For dessert we were presented with 3 sweet treats. The Chocolate Praline seemed like the distant cousin of The Pigpen's Dulce de Leche Praline. The same Twix-bar look, with dreamy chocolate enveloping the chewy chocolatey layers inside. A chocolate lover's dream dessert! Another chocolate offering was the Chocolate Tart with Tonka Bean Ice cream (P250). The Tonka bean ice creams tastes like vanilla caramel with honey and this married well with the dark bittersweet finish of the chocolate tart itself. There was also a light and refreshing Calamansi-Dalandan Tart, paired with tasty rum ice cream.I must say the people behind The Black Pig and The Pigpen have done a great job in keeping the quality of their food and their restaurants superb and highly consistent. The restaurants themselves resonate the immense passion and dedication the chef and owners have for their craft. It makes me happy to know that I get the same high quality dining experience no matter where I go. I know that whichever outlet I recommend would not put me down, and instead would consistently reflect the ideals I love for each restaurant. Definitely looking forward to checking out their Nuvali restaurant soon!

Eat here if you want the secluded vibe and fashionable interiors with the chef-ed up food and drinks. Serving sizes were well worth the rate. I would definitely enjoy a drink and some cheese here to meet with friends. Ask the staff for chef recommendations to make sure your orders go well together. Trust me on this.Exceptional Spanish pork short ribs. All the drinks and bread options are really good too. We had a family function and the staff present-- AJ, Jona and Vangie-- were on point and attentive. 4 stars for the service alone so if you have a function for small groups up to 70 pax, definitely give them a call.
