Today marks the day most caffeine addicted office workers long for. The start of the Red Cup season! People line up as early as 6am to get the coveted one free sticker 'Traditions Planner Card'. They will spend hundreds nee thousands of pesos for calorie and fat enducing frappucinos that will end up in their bellies or thighs long after the Christmas season is over. Not that i am complaining. I love my Toffee Nut Latte too! But i have learned the delicate art of restraint and have successfully eluded their planners for the past three years. I still try and help out friends who are still addicted to their planners (even though most of them do not get past February and abandon writing their life goals on their precious planners).I gladly ordered their 'Breakfast Sets' that included a Turkey Ham, Cheese and Egg on Croissant Bun paired with a Tall Brewed Coffee for 195pesos (10pesos saving from a la carte). This order will still earn you a sticker which i happily gave out to a friend. That's an instant savings on her part!The brewed coffee as always is as bitter as your last failed relationship. A tall cup is more than enough to last me the whole day. If i can recall my Coffee 101 workshop from Starbucks, freshly brewed coffee retains a natural sweetness even without the added sugar, milk or cream. It was faint but enough to cut through the bitterness. I am no coffee aficionado, so i had to add a couple sachets of brown sugar. The breakfast sandwich was just divine! The cheese and the egg had a light spread of mayo cream and the turkey ham although thin was flavorful.I have a love hate relationship with this branch. Good thing they have renovated. If i have reviewed this earlier, i would not have been as merciful. Overall, Starbucks surely has mastered on how to commercialize the Christmas season! Red cups, cute bearistas, flavorful drinks, cheerful smiles. Recommended.If you are collecting Starbucks Cards, they have 3 newly released holiday designs - Snowman, Tree and Happy Holidays text and will release more in the next few weeks.

Starbucks has always been part of my routine before the start of my office hours. When I moved to Northgate Cyberzone in Alabang, I got excited to see their branch in F@stbytes. So from there on, no more haggard and stressed days 😚 ☕️Sharing you one captured moment among the thousands of my SB visits in the metro.
