The first time I tried Schmidt's was at Mercato in BGC. Their branch in Madison Galleries is warm and comfortable with hints of concrete, wood and brick (looks like faux though) The staff is friendly (there were only a few diners at a late hour) and its pay-as-you-order. My order of nachos (which was good for sharing) came out after about 10 minutes with a bottle of house water and paper cups, plastic utensils and a plastic glove. (Nifty!) The nachos were just okay, it did not scrimp on toppings and sauces. It was sour cream, cheese sauce, ground beef and jalapenos. For P120, it was worth it. I ordered the Wagamama--Japanese curry, cabbage, shredded cabbage, japanese or wasabi mayo. I was not asked what type of mayo, though i certainly had japanese mayo--I would've preferred wasabi. The 7 inch dog tasted good--delicious actually. The bun was toasted but still soft, I doubt though if they make their own bread. For P180 (a la carte), its quite pricey, but justifiable, given the taste and quality. I would love to be back to try their other sandwich offerings though.

The gourmet hotdog sandwiches is definitely something I love to eat during meryenda! The price is worth the serving & for the dessert the churros with soft serve definitely hit the spot 👌👌👌👌

I'd give this place a 5/5 because it has a good ambience and they serve affordable yet high quality churros. Obsessed with their churros more than la lola's to be honest!! They should totally provide more branches in Manila

We ordered the Hawaiian Dog & the Coney Island Dog. Both were delicious with great toppings. Served exactly how it sounds in the menu descriptions. My only issue was the unavailability of everything else. It's been open for quite a while now and only the hotdogs are available. No pasta, no sides and no other meals. Friendly service, polite and accommodating. Pricing is alright for rather unique hotdogs. Restaurant is quite small though so usually you need to visit at a dead time for tables. Heads up:If you have any meeting or general get together with anyone, get ready to greet them smelling heavily of food, I stayed for about 30 minutes to eat my hotdog and smelled like it for the next few hours of the day.

Got the Coney Island which satisfied my hotdog craving for the day. Nice and spicy, just the way I like it. If I can suggest one improvement, it would be their bun which is a bit crumbly and lacked the creaminess which I personally prefer. I like it that they provide thin, plastic gloves to keep your hands clean while devouring your sandwich. Will return to try their other 'dogs. Hopefully, their other non-sandwich offerings (like their pasta) will be available on my next visit.

Their classic chocolate was hot and cool! The heat of the churros dipped in the coldness of the ice cream along with the crunchiness gave my palette an all around party! Definitely coming back for the release of their matcha/green tea variant! I could just imagine how good that would taste.

Most of the items if both restos are still unavailable. We have tried Hawaiian Hotdog, Nachos and Churros. The hotdog was meaty and lots of caramelized onions, but i feel it's too pricey. Their Nachos were served with oozing cheese and jalapeños,you have to eat it right away or else it will be too soggy! And lastly, for their churros (lucia's) was a delight and serves as a good dessert for the savory meal we had.

LUCIA:Wasn't able to try Schmidt's hotdogs, but noticed how humongous they were while another lady was being served. Good serving for 180-ish a piece. We got the classic churros with chocolate dip for 130. That includes 6 chubby sticks of churros and a tiny dip that we thought wasn't enough. The churros looked dense and bready, but surprisingly, it was light, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We were worried it won't have the nice texture we were looking for because at during the time we bought them, they were already resting by the kitchen. We didnt see it being fried, but I guess it wasn't that long ago that they did coz it was still warm when we got it.The churros had a cinammony taste to it. And just like the usual churros had too much granulated sugar to it. At par with the likes of La Lola's and Salcedo Market's Don Churro.
