We went to dine here for our (late) lunch date. There were still plenty of people eating at 1pm but there wasn't any waiting line. The staff were polite and attended to to us immediately. Their dishes has a very unique twist , a very different take on Filipino food. We ordered Ooh lalaing which was topped with shrimp patty and served with rice. This was our favorite because there's so much flavor and right amount of spicy. We also had sinigang paella which was perfect with Grilled pork. Then out appetizer was the Calamares which has a large serving and a great starter. Definitely go back and try more of their dishes.

Pinoy food with a twist. Bagoong Paella with Kare Kare is my fav here, it is really good how they came up with Kare kare. It us better to share the meals since the serving size is big. It’s a must try for Pinoy food lovers!

It was an OK experience prolly because generally all the restaurants were not at its best because of the current situation. The restaurant that day was not lit for some reason, and we were served a slightly warm food. We both loved their Kare-Kare and Bagoong Paella, and my husband particularly liked the dinuguan fondue. I was just a little bit disappointed that they were not accepting cards.

Great food. Great atmosphere. We went there on weekdays-so no need to book a table. They are packed during weekends, btw.

It was a disappointment eating at Niels especially after the high rating given them by many customers. Let’s start with the ambiance. The place is well appointed and quite cozy, But if you pack customers like sardines then all of that goes away. We were a group of 25 and we were seated so close that our elbows were rubbing each other. I think the place is good for 40 but they packed it to 60 people! And to make things worse, their couches were dusty! Had my allergies. The presentation was a feast for the eyes but that’s about it. The Tokwat baboy had makunat na baboy. Mas masarap pa yung tokwat baboy ng Goto Garahe! The Pad Thai was maasim! Too sour for my taste. I think Pad thai should be made plain then the customers adjust accdg to his taste the sourness by adding lemon. The dinuguan baboy, had an after taste. Sign of the meat not being fresh meat... what more can i say... The Adobo was too dry and too salty. I think Chef Niel had the right idea in creating these artisan dishes but somehow it was not executed properly that night... The boneless chicken bbq was good. Like the one of the original Aristocrat bbq. Their desserts were also good, the maja and the puto bumbong. These dishes somehow brought my rating up to 2. I hope the owners read this review as I am just honestly saying that something may have been executed incorrectly that night. Many reviewers have given you at least a four but I didn’t see this. Well as my balikbayan sister said. Don’t bring me to these fancy places, just me bring me to Aristocrat or Shakeys, at least I know what to expect.

Food: I've ordered bagoong paella with kare kare, the serving is good with its price, and it is really delicious. :) it is really amazing how they came up with bagoong paella :) kare kare is also delicious and the meat was tender :) the orders of my family is also great. The adobo project is okay for me. Their calamares lacks a little bit of a flavor and the sauce that they've accompanied with doesn't feel like it's a match hehe, I don't know what that sauce is, but they should partner it with vinegar or tartar sauce. But, all in all it was really a good meal!Place: the place is not that big, but it is really cute =)) Hehe.Service: hmm, if only not for the service, I will rate this with a 5 star, but I am not satisfied with it.

Very creative in giving Pinoy food a twist. For example, their Kare Kare doesn't come with the usual bagoong because it is already paired with a bagoong rice. Another example is their Dinuguan which is served fondue style.  Food tastes really good, especially the Kare Kare and  Alabang Fried Chicken. The Dinuguan Fondue is good as well, however the pork is overly crispy that is tasted a bit burnt. Serving size is also big. Neil's Kitchen is a must try for Pinoy food lovers.

My friend took me here to experience it first time, sadly upon asking the female server a table for two, right off the bat she said chicken and pork dishes are no longer available and handed the menu over. We’re a little confused but what the heck we stayed. When we started to place our orders, male server came back 4 times saying what we ordered were not available and just showed a piece of paper from their kitchen showing a list of unavailable ingredients even called it ‘86’. Lol. As if we’re chefs for us to understand those. Disappointed about the whole experience, we asked him to serve the turon de napoleon instead. Of course, it was served late. This happened December 15, Sunday. Server said they’re busy doing caterings etc. Suggestion, follow cut offs in your restaurant or update your menus real time. Better yet, close early/dont accept customers anymore if you cant serve them 100%. Worst service. Not recommending to anyone. I hope you guys change, sayang reviews nyo.

I went here with my team and  ordered Alabang Fried Chicken, Shrimp Pad Thai Noodles, Puto Bumbong with Buco Jelly, Sinigang na Paella with Pork Belly, Bagoong Paella with Kare-Kare. The service and the ambiance was great but the food was okay. When you crave for fried chicken, you usually would want crispy breading and juicy chicken meat on the first bite, this is not like that. The meals are great if you would want a deconstructed version of the Pinoy favorites for a price. Something new to try, but not something I would want to go back to.  I was not able to take pictures of the food, but the presentation is actually pretty great. Also, better to share the meals so you can try all the best sellers.

Supposed to be our 2nd time to dine here. First there’s no greeting staff at the entrance area. I went in anyway and upstairs, still no staff to even ask me what the heck am i doin there standing. I was thinking, ok they’re busy, i understand. I approached a staff asking for a table for 10, he answered me he doesn’t know when they can give us one. I even asked him, “about an hour?” and he said: “Hindi ko mam masabi”. But since i saw 2 tables almost finishing up, i decided to stay, and wait on the couch. FYI, NO ONE even ask me to sit down. We were given a table in 10 minutes so i was happy na. HOWEVER, half their menu are unavailable. And their selections are few to begin with. My sister asked the female staff to repeat again the unavailable entrèe, and her reply was: “Sinabi ko na nga po.. (repeated the unavail items). We left.To the owner of Neil’s Kitchen, please round up your staffing. Remind them to be polite despite a busy(?) shift. I actually have encountered 3 staffs (1 female, 2 male), and all seems not in the mood to work. And please update your menu.
