Right before the holidays we (with my hubby as always) were invited by website and Commercenter for a #CommercenterMomsDayOut2. I am not yet a mom but I am thankful that I had the chance to experience this awesome day with some of my mommy friends. Anyway, I will share our whole trip to Commercenter in another post. We were treated to a Japanese lunch at Kessaku which are just  located at the ground floor of Commercenter Alabang.

Just an average place. Tried Kessaku Sushi Boat, Salmon Sashimi, Tempura Udon, Gyoza and Chirashi. Not likely to return as nothing stood out.

Kessaku has been around for a while now and has gone through a few menu changes. Their current menu is very good and my favorite. I do miss their symphony but their sushi selection is much better now. They also have a lot of promos on their drinks and have an extensive liquor menu.

Food is ok but service is slow. Took them almost an hour to serve my bento and that's with follow up. Took them another 15 to 20 mins just to get me my bill. Hindi naman puno ang lugar.

Poor service! Very slow serving time! Considering that this restaurant is not cheap I would have hoped for a quick turnaround. I missed my movie because of this restaurant.

Ambiance: its very quiet walls are purple and dressed with picture frames the red lanterns are visibl and the twinkle lights mix of filipino and japanese designs. What we had: Kessaku Sushi Boat 950This came with assorted sashimi sushi and makimono: tiger roll, futo maki, california maki with salmon, tuna, uni, and ebi sashimi. The sushi didn't seem fresh and felt it was left there during the day. The sashimi slices were so thin that I could see my hand behind the sashimi. For this price, I expected a lot more. For a steep price of 375 for 3 pcs ebi tempura, this was underwhelming and small. Kudos on the complimentary kani on cucumber that was good. Hope they can improve on their quality.

We decided to have our dinner in Kessaku Commerce Center as we planned to watch 50 shades Freed after. First time to dine here and I just noticed that the ambience is cool. When we arrived, there are still no customers since it was a bit early for dinner-- And so we tried the Salmon Gyoza and Yakisoba and we enjoyed it. I also tried the spicy tantanmen ramen. I loved how spicy the ramen was but it was super salty at the same time. Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

One of the most satisfying Japanese cuisines I’ve had in Manila. Authentic, delicious and the serving sizes are perfect! Will definitely visit again soon.

Daughters dinner date, first we decided to stroll around commercenter, then checked out this place, its peaceful and clean place, staff are polite, but since we are 2 first customers i kinda feel they consistently watching us..feeling uneasy looking at us all the time, they even huddle at the pos machine chatting near us,they serve us complementary 2 spoonful dried anchovy or dilis,it taste like sweet spicy same taste as the one sold outside at the street or sarisari store nothing special, then we ordered chicken gyoza(nothing special also about the taste kinda bland ) then shoyu tofu ramen(beef ramen, with boiled egg, cabbage, tofu and shitake mushroom a comfort food a little bland) i asked the waiter if they serve salads since we like vegies, they didnt recommend anything until i browse thoroughly the menu and saw they have salads,(waiter should know what they are selling,it's like they dont know anything much and also whats in it on each food)finally i picked chicken teriyaki salad with secret spicy sauce(kinda intriguing)the taste of teriyaki chicken is superb but the greens kinda saggy not crunchy due to overpowered by the sauce,i dont like the sauce,it doesnt blends.

Celebrated my birthday here at Kessaku. Items were priced reasonably and the food is superb. Also the they also plate the dishes beautifully. These are the the dishes we ate,Btw we actually ate a lot hehe.Uni Platter- 5/5* Fresh and Delicious. Sushi Boat- 5/5* Tuna is fresh a + for me. Beef wagyudon? Sorry forgot the name 😂 3/5 Dish is great but the beef is 7pcs. Of cubes if I remember correctly. Tantanmen- 5/5* My brother had this. I just tasted the soup. Hahah! 😂 Reminded me a little bit of the soup base from ramen yushoken. Close but not quite. Shoyo tofu ramen- 3/5* Good but the tatanmen is still better my sister said Ebi Tempura- 5/5* We ordered 12pcs. They were big and such eye catchers 😄. We also loved the batter they did. Not to soft and had a crunch at the end. Staff- Staff were friendly and accommodating. We didn’t need to ask any of the wait staff for water and tea refills since they did it automatically . Kudos to them! 💪🏼Overall: 4/5*
