Since I was craving for Thai food, I requested that my family and I should try this restaurant since it had a high rating on website. It was our first time here. Upon going inside,we noticed that the interiors were already old. There was a hole on the wall covered by cardboard and some yellow paint were chipping off. We were already hungry that’s why we immediately called the waitress. It was sad that she was preoccupied with something else while taking our orders. She wasn’t looking at us. In short she wasn’t focused. After ordering, we were given empty bowls for our soup. Mine was not washed well. It still had little traces of chili in it. I had it exchanged. The glasses for our water wasn’t washed well. Some had cloudy stains on the rim. After noticing everything I mentioned, the food arrived. The Tom Yum was so plain. It lacked ingredients. The chicken pandan was not that flavorful. The crispy thai spring roll tasted like lumpiang shanghai. The only dishes that we liked was the catfish salad and bagoong rice.

It’s been a while since we had Thai dishes and I can’t exactly remember where we had it. Our recent #PrigiEats care of #ZomatoPh website meet up brought to Just Thai situated at Molito Alabang. Funny as it may seem but we usually walked towards this area in Molito but we haven’t tried them yet (sad face!). We would always go to SIAM House in BF Homes Paranaque which is by the way their sister whenever we wanted some Pad Thai and Noodle Soup.

I love rainy season because this is the chance that I can enjoy my noodle soup without sweating too much. During our recent #zomatop website meet up, we sampled some of Just Thai’s dishes. The said restaurant is located at Molito Commercial Complex in Alabang. My personal favorites among their dishes are the three kinds of noodle soup namely Beef Noodle Soup  (P290), Crispy Pork Noodle Soup (P220) and Seafood Green Curry Noodle (P220). As I tasted them, I can say that Just Thai allotted enough preparation time for each broth as they are all flavorful. The noodles were cooked just the way I wanted it. The beef and crispy pork were tasty as well.

This is our first time to try this restaurant and I must say, we made the right choice. For a start, it was a Sunday lunch when we went here but to our surprise, there were no queues. So, that’s a plus plus for us as we were really hungry already. We ordered the following: Chicken in green curry - I fell in love at first try! Aaaaah! Until now I can’t forget the taste of this food! Tasted like authentic curry and it’s not too spicy (which made me love it more!) Pad Thai - Has a distinct taste versus other Thai restaurants which my hubby loved. Noodles was cooked to perfection and the seasoning were all well-balanced. Fried Thai Spring Rolls - I love how crunchy it was and the it tasted really really good. My daughter loved it so much! Coconut Pudding - This made our dining experience even more special! Even our daughter loved this dessert so much she was able to finish 1 whole square! ❤️ Not too sweet yet flavorful. Overall, I am very satisfied with their food and service. Will definitely go back.

Just Thai provides the spicy authentic version of Thai food to the metro. The version of Thai food they serve is certainly not for the common casual diners because of the spicy kick that their dishes have, Im fortunate that Im one of those who appreciate the type of Thai food they serve. I love their shrimp cakes, spring roll and pad thai, I relish in the fact that the fresh minty and nutty flavors of their cuisine is further enhanced by the earthy and spicy flavors of ther special condiments. This makes me long for my next trip to Just Thai.

We ate the Pad Thai, Chicken Green Curry, and Spring Rolls. All of them were good. The drinks were so-so though. The lemongrass juice tasted unnaturally sweet reminiscent of lemon candy. The coffee was nothing special. The service was alright in the beginning. However, my only gripe is the bill was suddenly handed to us brusquely without any explanation and without us asking for it since I think they were about to close up for the afternoon. I would have appreciated an explanation or at least a polite "Excuse me," instead of being interrupted mid-conversation.

This place is really one of those few precious gems barely anybody knows about. But even with a menu smaller they definitely do not disappoint. The Crunchy Pork Belly, Beef in Red Curry, Chick in Green Curry and Crabmeat Fried Rice are easily my favorites. But I've ordered so much more and have never been disappointed, albeit for one instance of the Pad Thai being a tad bit overcooked. In addition, the staff is always nice and courteous.

Just in time to celebrate the spirit of ASEAN's 50th anniversary being held here in manila its the roght ppportunoty to feature some great southeast asian restaurants in the city. I visited Alabang's food mecca in Molito to have some really good thai food from JustTHAI. I often find it strange that Filipinos fully embrace western cuisines as well as east asian cuisines yet a lot of us aren't really familiar with the cuisines of our neighboring countries. A lot of foodies might be missing out because there are a lot more similarities between our cuisine and their’s than we think.JustTHAI aims to bridge this gap by bringing premium Thai cuisine prepared based on tradional techniques and ingrediengs.  You can even feel this down the interiors of the restaurant which is filled with different buddhist decors which makes it both luxurious and serene. Here’s the run down!• Pod Plah Tod: We started with some egg rolls which i guess, are as common in Thailand as it is in the Philippines. The texture and the flavor is has a lot of similarities to our local lumpia but their egg rolls are bigger with a lot more fillings. I still detected some of the standard flavors like ground pork, onions, and carrots but the injection of cilantro sets it apart and gives it a unique kick.•Tum Pla Dook Foo: The next dish was a green mango salad with a generous topping of deep fried catfish flakes. The deep fried catfish flakes themselves already had quite a strong and fishy taste so tangy shredded mangoes and onions which had a sharp sour taste kind of balanced it our and made it very enjoyable.• Tod Nam Pla: The last appetizer that i tried were deep fried fishcakes. However, these are no ordinary fish cakes as its filled with enough chopped green chilli to set your tongue on fire.• Pandan Chicken: This was probably one of the dishes that i associate the most with thai cuisine. Sadly, i wasn't quite impressed with their version of the dish as the chicken itself tasted a little bland and dry. However the sauce really added a lot of flavor and necessary moisture to the meat.• Pad Thai: The easiest way to tell if a thai restuarant is good or not usually depends on the quality of their pad that and this restuarant surely . Their version of the signature thai dish was soo good that we had had to order seconds. I really liked the minimal approach to the dish which kept the most essential elements of the dish and left of off unnecessary and distracting toppings. The spicy seafood sauce was beyond delicious and the freshness of the other ingredients really came through• Saucy Seafood Dishes: I also tried 3 different seafood dishes each with their own unique and delicious sauce. My favorite was the Pla Rad Pik or Shrimp in Garlic and Pepper. It’s also the simplest dish among the three, the shrimp itself was fresh and sweet which i really loved. While the sauce(which reminds me of gambas) which was really buttery with a nice garlic and pepper flavor. Plad Taray Rad Pik or Seafood in chilli was another crowd favorite as it had shrimp, mussels, and squid in a hot and spicy sauce. Last was Pad Grapow Talay or a seafood medley in a basil curry sauce, this was probably the most oriental of the three and had the most flavorful sauce. The creamy basil sauce was like a subtle nod to green curry as it coated the seafood in a aromatic and savory flavor. Just make sure to order extra rice with these dishes coz i’m sure you’ll need it!• We also had several bowl of Noodle Soups each with a different broth and toppings. My favorite was the Seafood and green curry sauce which reminded me of singaporean laksa with a lot more aromatics and spices. This silky broth was sooo good that it can transport you the floating markets in Thailand.• The beef noodle soup was also great and it reminded me of a cross between a chinese beef noodle soup and pho. I really liked that it represented how eastern and southeastern asian food cultures can influence each other. The soup itself had a really deep beef flavor while the pieces of meat were really tender.  The soft rice noodles and herbs cut through the flavor and served as a nice contrast to the dark broth. For dessert we had Mango and Sticky Rice. I've had many iterations of this dessert before from thai, vietnamese, and even malay restaurants. Unfortunately, their version of the popular dessert wasn't up to par. The mangoes weren't as delicious as i wanted them to be, the sticky rice was bland and the coconut cream was really goopy.Nonetheless, i still enjoyed my overall experience at JustThai. Everything from the interiors to the food to the overall ambience was true to its roots that it really felt like a slice of Thailand could be found in alabang. The service was great and they have a fancy bathroom and wifi. The food is a little expensive but the portions and the quality of the ingredients easily make up for it. This restaurant is perfect for families or for ladies who lunch (there were quite a lot when we got there) who want a taste of authentic thai cuisine

There are very few Thai restos on our side of town. Come to think of it, there are very few good ones in the metro. I could distinctly remember one good place but it has been closed down for years now. I guess it also has something to do with the price point as these dishes (oddly enough) are actually on the pricey. It depends on your order really but finding a good one at a reasonable price is quite a feat.
