Now to what I understand, calling the restaurant/bar Hogs Breath does not mean that the main dishes on the menu are full of porcine goodness. Instead, it is a true Australian steakhouse with full focus on their Prime Ribs. In Australia alone, they have 80 restaurants nationwide. Now a real treat to bring your family out for dinner (or especially if Dad is into a good beer, a good steak and sports being played on the tv) would be at Hogs Breath Cafe.My first visit, courtesy of a food crawl invite from website, saw me experiencing a delectable perfectly-cooked steak, wonderfully seared medium rare, and robust in all through smoky goodness. It is a flavour memorable and one that went extremely well (wishfully) with a bottle of beer. The beef done medium rare reveals an excellent smoky flavour infused throughout. Good enough on its own, or even a touch of salt to pronounce the flavours even more. The meat is slow cooked for over 18 hours so this is one serving that is really here to impress.(Insert TV ad voice here) But wait, there's more! Since the festivities of the holiday season is fast-approaching, HBC offers the Holiday Feast; aims to cater to average-sized families, wherein dining out is always an option. I got lost in tallying out the dishes which comprises this overtly sinful, feast-for-vikings meal. From pizzas to pastas, ribs to fish & chips, even gumbos & classic whole chicken were there. I literally died of food coma after, by the way.Dinner at Hogs Breath Cafe is an experience of full blown hearty meals that is for those who enjoy their steak out-back style. Nothing is on the easy here as the menu is similar to the flavours found in Australia. I highly recommend getting some beers or a glass of wine, to go along with the meal as they are probably the best alternative drinks as an accompaniment. Gatherings as crowd for a family or a party of friends is welcomed, as the restaurant’s large sitting areas can accommodate too many.

Fun, casual dining restaurant franchise with better than average steak. We were told we were to be given a holiday feast, a menu designed for a group of friends, and wow we were not disappointed. Over the course of 10 minutes, our table went from empty, to being full of plates of many different varieties. While some dishes were your average you-get-what-you-pay-for fare, I will point out the notables, positive and negative. What we atePrime rib: very nice, very juicy, healthy serving of steak. Tender, and flavorful. Easily my favorite dish. Seafood gumbo:Having heard of this dish multiple times, I put a hearty expectation on this legendary soul dish. It was decent but I found the red sauce flavor dominated by what I think was cumin. Roasted chicken:Tasted dry, plain, boring. Could use some. Improvement like first flavoring with a tasty brine. Cream Carbonara:Another one of the notable dishes! Delicious, perfectly seasoned with nice big chunks of mushroom. Pizza's: Crust seemed slightly undercooked as the whole bed of cheese and toppings would slide off as we tried to pull off individual slices. Fish n chips:Missed opportunity. The batter was a little too thick and I couldn't really taste the fish anymore. It wasn't as crisp as I had hoped and the sauce overall tasted bland and lacked a little bit of acid to contradict the creamy oily textures that came with this dish I will definitely try this restaurant one day again as there really is potential and room for improvement. Thank you website PH for the meal!

I was curious why they have lots of customers during the daytime, especially foreigners? Then after I tried their dishes, I must admit that they served a delicious set of food. Together with fellow foodies last website food crawl, we were able to try Hogs Breath Café’s Holiday Feast. And indeed it was a feast! You can choose between their 2 sets of Holiday feast, which costs at around Php 2,500.00 per set. Sounds expensive? Nope. The price is worth it because the food is really delicious. I like their carbonara so much and it became an instant star of the day. I also love their meat dishes plus the very flavorful and soft until the last bite pizza. I also love their crispy shrimp and the fish fillet. I just have an issue with the chicken since the meat is a bit raw and traces of chicken blood are very visible. But I know they can improve with that dish.So bring your family this holiday season at Hog’s Breath Café and enjoy their Holiday Feast!

Hog's Breath Cafe was our third stop for the website food crawl and they served us both variants of their December Feasts which were the Hogsters Feast and Seafood Feast. Plates from the kitchen started to come in and they just wouldn't stop!First dish that they served was the Garlic & Herb Bread, the taste of which was reminiscent of French Baker's meaning it was a good garlic bread. The Spicy Seafood Gumbo had too much spice in it it was all you could taste. Both the Cheesy and Margarita pizzas were doughy which, call me weird, is what I like in a pizza. The Smoked BBQ Pork Ribs was soft yet firm but was sadly bland. The Breaded Prawns I liked, but not so much its coconut chili sauce. The Beer Battered Fish was good albeit needing some salt (which was available in the table). Standouts include the Spaghetti Carbonara and the Prime Rib Steak. The Spaghetti Carbonara was already so creamy without needing to flood the pasta with cream. The Prime Rib Steak was grilled medium rare so it was very, very juicy. If I wasn't too full already I wouldn't have given the last piece away. The curly fries that went with it was good, too, I think I was the only one who got to eat it.Halfway through our "feast", they were still serving food and I was begging them (in my head) to stop already. The last dish they served was the Whole Roast Chicken which I didn't even get to try anymore because I was too full already. Another dish that I didn't get to try was the Seafood Marinara which I was eyeing since the server... served it, which gives me all the more reason to go back and try their other offerings such as the Full & Loaded Potato Skins and the very intriguing Deep Fried Ice Cream!

Good comfort food in Alabang. Great dining with family and friends! We had their "holiday feast", a Christmas special. And when they say feast, they mean it! What came with it were pizzas, pastas, a prime rib steak, fried chicken, seafood gumbo, shrimps, fish & chips, and pork ribs. All were good! Great for gatherings this holiday season. What I like best out of the bunch was the Carbonara pasta and the prime rib steak (pretty certain these are your safest bet when ordering Ala Carte!). The Carbonara had the perfect seasoning, it's so flavorful! The prime rib steak was cooked well on medium. It was tender and was, also, seasoned well. The least of my favorites were the fish & chips, and fried chicken. The fish & chips had a thick batter, masking the flavor of the fish, ending up being quite bland. The chicken was a little dry, nothing really special.Overall a good dining experience with great service! I will definitely be back for their Carbonara and steak!Thank you website PH for hosting us! I believe they have been only open for just under 4 months. Great service and friendly staff and interested management. Food was a bit pricey, but it was well proportioned and a good value as well as great taste. The Thai Beef Salad was plentiful and fresh, but lacked the Thai authenticity with a bit of kick. Beef was well marinated and tender. We opted for the German Sausage platter and was great and flavorful. The sausages were almost as if they were homemade, by an authentic German Sausage maker. House ice tea was refreshing and had its own taste and better than the usual house ice tea blend. Overall Beth the server and Eric the manager wee great and will be a standard stop when at Festival Mall in Alabang.

Hog's Breath Cafe is definitely a must-try restaurant at Filinvest Riverpark.  I love how cozy and homely this place is.  We recently held our first writing workshop there and most of the participants were extremely satisfied with their Nachos, Platter, Iced Tea, Mississippi Mud Pie, Apple Crumble, and Fried Ice Cream! The owner and staff were accommodating and they were really HOGSpitable (hospitable).Rarely do you find a place where “what you see is what you get.” Truly, Hog’s Breath Cafe is one of the best Australian-inspired restaurants I’ve ever visited. My personal favourites are the Burgers, the mud pie, of course, and their pizza! :) By the way, they also accept small gatherings for special occasions.

This is the first branch of this international franchise here in Manila, and from what they showed us, Hog's Breath could easily go head-to-head with the more established brands currently dominating the bistro dining scene in the Metro. They let us try the Holiday Feast. Imagine what a Holiday Feast would be in your head, and it is exactly that. Or maybe more. Upon ordering, an endless parade of meats, pasta, fish, and other good stuff just waved through. the waitstaff had to rearrange the tables everytime as the tables just ran out of room with their every arrival. It's difficult for me to recall each flavor as the overwhelming flurry of food still makes my head spin a week after our visit. But of course, there are standouts that your mind would remember, like the perfectly cooked medium rare steak, and the fish and chips that was probably sole; or if they used cream dory, they did a remarkable job of preparing the fish as there was no hint of that signature dory flavor that I absolutely hate. The chips are thinly sliced sweet potatoes fried until crispy. This was something I couldn't get enough of. I'll probably try to make this at home and would be lucky if my attempt even comes close to their execution.Simply worth traveling to the South for, and if you have a huge group with no pre-Christmas lunch or dinner venue booked yet, give this place a try and you will not be disappointed. With Janix Lo, Elaine Taningco, Noel Peñafuerte, Gabbi Carballo, Gito Villegas.

Meh.... Don't order the nachos! Its probably the most expensive nachos in Manila. Just a plate of chips, 4 beans (yes, I counted), a dollop of sour cream and 1 tbsp of minced tomatoes for 595! It was more expensive than the prawns or the burger.

For me, Since i ordered Chicken Parmigiana, the taste was just fine apparently there is nothing special here. I find their price too much. When i saw my friends order costing Php400+ with a half cup of rice and several shrimps circling it, i thought to myself that value of money to food ratio is low. So if you want to dine and want to get full without spending too much, you might want to check out other place to eat. Also just to add up when we came in there they didn't even attend to us properly but apparently they entertained the group who came in after us, Who didn't have a reservation as well. The lady who served us was friendly.
