For me, dining at Bellevue Hotel is synonymous with their Chinese restaurant, Phoenix Court. Phoenix Court is one of my favorite restaurants, and whenever we head out to the South, there is always a quick deliberation between Rina and I, regarding if we will make a stopover for some dimsum all you can. Recently however, a new restaurant named, "Hatsune", has opened in Bellevue Hotel, that further looks to reaffirm the hotel's claim of having some of the best food in the South.

My colleagues and I had decided to bring our executives travelling from different parts of the world to this place. The usual place we dined at (Phoenix) was closed. We just had one of the worst dining experiences ever! Food was not as great as how other prior reviews put it. Staff was inefficient and discourteous. To make matters worse, one of them spilled a whole bowl of scalding hot miso soup at the back of one of our associates at dinner. This particular member of the staff didn't even have the courage to tell his manager about it. We had to ask to speak to his manager 4 times before she actually approached our table. She was clueless about the incident prior to her coming over to speak to us.This kind of service smears the Bellevue brand really badly.

I was there last night since i was craving for sushi. I called and made reservations since the one who took my call said there were a lot of people. When i got there at 730. There werent much people (scratching my head). Then came the news that "salmon was not available". I am not sure why we still went thru the reservation. Maybe i was just too hungry to transfer. Food was mediocre. Not the kind i was hoping for. "Uni" was unavailable as well. The restaurant managed to find a spicy salmon salad though and gave it for free. Maybe next time ill just find a mediocre japanese restaurant. Was not expecting that from Bellevue. This is a hotel for pete's sake.

My friends and I had such a great time dining here. The private room was spacious and food was delicious! I highly recommend this place. Great food, ambience and friendly staff. :)

I had high expectation because of (1) the location and (2) the friend who invited us, a real Japanese who likes good food and brought us to nice places before. So despite the average rating here, I was excited. My wife and I had the Tenderloin set, the Seafood set, and tried extra Volcano roll and Ebi mayo roll. Everything was delicious. The set was served with various sauces that even the Japanese with us were not sure how to match, which didn't make anything less delicious. I may have deeped de beef in the salad sauce, then what? It was delicious and in the end all is mixed down there right? My favourite in the set: the egg custard and the beef of course. My wife's prawns were delicious too. The Volcano roll is not spicy at all, perfect for me who don't like spicy so much. The Ebi mayo roll was nice too. I would probably go back if my budget allowed or to treat beloved friends. And with free parking at Bellevue, what more would you ask? For all this, I will put a rare 5.0 rating for Hatsune. Keep up guys!
