Stop # 5: Detoxify Bar (website Filinvest Alabang Food Crawl)After hours of stuffing ourselves full, I was so happy to go to Detoxify Bar for some light dessert. The interiors of the place is very modern and white, definitely something you'd expect from a place that promotes healthy living.They use only organic ingredients which are actually certified by the Organic Certification Center of the Philippines. You can expect that this will make their offerings quite pricey but the owner assured us that they are continuously working on creating dishes that will not hurt our wallets too much. Good to know!Now you might expect that they only serve healthy juices and shakes but they actually have meals and desserts on their menu, just like this Berries Smoothie Bowl that they served us.We were told that the smoothie bowls come in different flavors and that they're new to the menu. I love looking at this bowl. It's just so colorful and inviting that you just can't help but devour. And devour I did! It's just so delicious. It's made with kiwis, berries, bananas and greek yogurt, topped with chia seeds and figs. Definitely something I'd like to have more of. If you're looking for a more filling dessert though, you'd have to maybe try something else but after a having a heavy meal, this one is just perfect!

The fifth and final leg of our #websitefoodcrawl was Detoxify Bar, which I'd been longing to try. There couldn't have been a better way to end a fun, food-filled afternoon. Detoxify Bar's owners were there to welcome us and emphasized that their food sourcing is organic, pesticide- and chemical-free, which makes sense. They noted that their juice diet drinks caused an explosion in demand, which they currently cannot meet.I am so happy to hear this. If there is always a time and place to indulge, the same is true about indulging in healthy food - and that more Filipinos recognize this and are seeking it out. I was also happy to hear that their juices have helped people with specific health issues, including cancer. A regular customer wrote the owners thanking them for providing healthy nutrients in juice form that their ailing relative could consume without difficulty. That really stuck in my mind about how healthy food can make a life-altering difference. So that afternoon we tried a berry smoothie topped with dates, kiwi, strawberry seeds and chia - packed with vitamins, minerals, and high-fiber chia seeds, which are good for fighting cholesterol. I liked it a lot and have made a note to work my way down their juice and smoothie menu. The bar's relaxed and pristine white surroundings contribute to the experience. I want to thank website and their partner restaurant hosts for giving us a chance to experience a variety of cuisines and flavors. There's clearly lots more to sample in the southern part of the Metro, and this was just a taste.

For our friday lunch, me and my officemates decided to try something new. I saw this resto in website and we decided to visit. The place is just enough for 6-8 tables. Aircon and ventilation was ok. We were seated immediately as there's not much people eating. Crew is quick and polite. The wait for food is a bit long. I odered their maple glazed chicken and it was too sweet. The salmon fillet was dry. The best of the dishes we ordered were the rosemary chicken and walnut chicken.
