Nov. 25, 2016It was my first time in David's Tea House. It was the opening of this branch since it's renovation. From what I know of, Manny Villar owns this. Or maybe the whole Lakefront hehe. IDK. But he was there when I was having dinner with my best friend. He was there cos it's the opening. There were only his group and then me and my best friend that time around 7pm I think.It's nice to know that they have a wide selection in the menu. I love Chinese food!Since I was recovering from some sort of indigestion, I opted to have Asado Congee. My Best friend ordered Dimsum Platter and Breaded fish lauriat.Everything was okay. I liked the Asado Congee but it was too much for me. Also, you know how heavy dimsum is. I liked their hakaw in fairness. Hakaw is my favorite dimsum of all time as of now. Also the vegetable dumpling was okay as well as the siomai. The rest, I did not like especially the shanghai looking one.  I had a taste of my friend's lauriat. I think I prefer the Chowking version hehe. Very very very poor and slow servings. They lack in waiters. Only 1 waiter serves the tables outside and we have to wait for more than an hour for our food to be served.

Very bad service. My sister and I ordered dimsum to go and it took them 40 mins to come up with the food. Yes, the place was renovated recently but the service definitely got worse. Food is okay but not worth the 40 minute wait.

Big appetite satisfied again in this restaurant. We tried their set menu with Yang Chow, salt and pepper spare ribs, crispy fried chicken, steamed fish and chopsuey. The big bochi is a bonus.There's a very nice view of Laguna de Bay during daytime.

David’s tea house has been a family go-to for Shabu Shabu and affordable dimsum. We recommend getting the hakaw, chicken feer, ans bean curd roll. Match that with their shabu shabu selection. They have a good broth and good sides. Will definitely be back.
