website and Westgate Center in Filinvest, Alabang took us on a 5-restaurant tour of their complex, which is undergoing interesting changes. Home to a number of signature restaurants to the area, some of the ones we visited are looking to introduce new items on their menus to entice new visitors to come over. We first visited Bugsy's Bar and Bistro, which has four branches in Metro Manila. Their owner was there to introduce us to three kinds of chicken wings: (1) spicy chicken tenders with blue cheese; (2) sriracha honey wings, and (3) Chicken no. 7. The chicken tenders were spicy and slightly salty because of the blue cheese dip. Not bad, not bad. The sriracha honey wings brought us into spicy-sweet territory, and we liked this very much. These would be my wings of choice with whisky. Chicken no. 7 - which scotch drinking fans will recognize as a tribute to Jack Daniel - is Asian inspired, with soy flavors. It is malty, syrupy and crunchier than the other two, which are coated with sauce. This dish was not yet on the menu last month and was expected to launch before Christmas.Beer and hard liquor drinkers will find these interesting to pair with Bugsy's liquor collection, which has lots of local and foreign beers and scotch to choose from. Fancy a pour of Yamazaki? Bugsy's has it. They also run special shows, which in the past has included comedy greats such as Rex Navarette.#websitefoodcrawl

I find that Bugsy's Bar & Bistro has always been one of the best places to unwind with good food and alcohol after a long week of work. I wouldn't say I'm a regular, but I do enjoy nights at Bugsy's - particularly at their BGC branch. As part of website's Westgate food crawl, we were served some of Busgy's signature chicken wings - the Classic Buffalo Tenders, Honey Sriracha Wings, and the new Chicken No. 7. I was excited, because Bugsy's makes pretty damn good wings! All the chicken wings served were really crunchy and flavorful on the outside and juicy good inside. They all had a nice punch of heat, which is how I like enjoying my wings. My favorite would have to be the Honey Sriracha, because it was sweet, tangy, and very spicy. I love the combination of sweet and sour for chicken wings. The new Chicken No. 7 was a close second because it had great heat, also a bit sweet, and had a sesame flavor to it since it's very Asian-inspired. The Bugsy's Classic Buffalo Tenders are also delicious! It was served with a Bleu cheese dip but you really don't need it. Overall, if want to unwind down south Busgy's should be at the top of your list. Delicious wings and beer sounds like a perfect evening to me!Food Quality: 4.0 Service Quality: -  Ambiance: 4.0Cheers, Chef JayDisclaimer: This is a sponsored review. Buffalo Chicken with Blue Cheese Dip - a not too spicy and very tolerable hotness on this badass chicken. Chicken is perfectly seasoned and just enough spiciness which Filipinos love. This is one of my fave chicken dish at Bugsy's - Sweet Glazed Chicken. I'm positive that my kid will love this chix. Crispy chicken with sweet sauce. Chicken #7 - this is not yet on their menu. Why Chicken #7? Because it's tossed with Jack Daniel's. Yup! Chicken with alcohol is a must try here.

I'm never going back to this place ever again. I had a very unpleasant experience in this establishment and with its staff. I've had numerous experiences in other places, but this restaurant just went over the line. I admit, the food was pretty good, the appearance and presentation were appetizing, and the place was inviting as well. But God, the staff and their stupid policy just brought the restaurant down, down, down the drain. So in Bugsy's, you can let them keep your whiskey and other wines so that when you come back, you can drink it there again. (As far as I know, you can also bring it home) And so my family and I decided to spend our Sunday night there, and the place was just a mess. Everything was so wrong. The staff did not even greet us ''Good Evening!'' when we entered, they did not smile nor usher us to a table, they all just stood there and watched us. They gave us our menus, and a waitress  attended us. My father asked her about his whiskey, and her face fell down and it was as though she did not want to look for the whiskey bottle and she had a very, very, VERY heavy body (meaning, she wasn't accommodating) She looked for the whiskey, after a few minutes, she approached our table and showed us a notebook page which had my father's signature and the expiration date of the whiskey, 2 months from the date of purchase. She told us we could not drink nor bring home the whiskey bottle. And her tone while talking to us was not pleasing at all! She was implying that we could not do anything and we should just BUY ANOTHER BOTTLE. My father was not aware of the freaking expiration date that they were telling us. We were not informed, they did not warn us during our last visit.  Knowing this, my father complained and approached the staff, they told us it was forfeited, yet the whiskey was still in the display cabinet! If it was really truly forfeited, why would they keep the whiskey bottle in the first place? And it was even almost full! We did not even consume 10% of the bottle's content. When we asked and complained about it, the staff who was attending us told us that we can bring the whiskey home after they said it wasn't allowed, and after all the argument. It was truly unreasonable and very inconsiderate of them, considering at that time, there were no customers. They should have been more considerate and flexible. They should have bended the rules for the good of the customer and for their own sake. Never to go there again. They just lost 4 customers and we are going to spread the word to our whole family, relatives and friends. They just ruined our family night. This restobar, has so far, the worst staff. They do not know AT ALL how to treat a customer.

Open until 4AM. We've been here numerous times over the years and we noticed that the food is getting worse every visit and we also noticed the quantity has changed significantly "tipid na tipid, ang mahal pa". Those pictures were taken last year. The food was good then. We haven't been back since. There are other places to chill out without feeling ripped off. Not recommended.
