There are a few good things going for this branch of Shakey’s in Blue Wave Mall, Marikina. It’s easy to find off the main highway, not far from the Marikina Sports Center; parking is free; and they offer big screen showings of whatever’s current (boxing matches, presidential debates, basketball games, maybe some noontime variety). The food is served with great efficiency, even for big groups. The chicken and mojos basket arrived quickly, as did our Pizza Bianca with bacon and mushroom, and our Belly Buster pizza.Flavors and quality are consistent with the brand. I think they overfry their chicken to the point of drying the chicken breast, but at least they are consistent. The pizza is fine. I’m also sad to know they’ve taken off the Caesar salad dip from the menu. It’s the main reason I still wanted to visit from time to time.

Food is always good, flavor never changes nor the atmosphere. The chicken although oily was crispy and juicy, plus the skin tasted pretty good. The mojos were awesome as usual. Tasted just as yummy 20 years ago. Every time I go to Shakey's, I get satisfied with my meal. Now what I appreciate most about this place is that it's super family friendly. There should be more restaurants like this. It's affordable, first of all, and offers some pretty good family deals for 4 people, 6 and 8 people. Yeah it's not THAT spectacular, but I appreciate what they offer and it gets the job done.

Classic comfort food! You can never go wrong with Shakey's chicken and mojos and their thin crust pizzas! Sometimes, simple yet familiar food could turn a bad day into a good one. I've been to this branch a few times already, and my visits were often with my family or friends. During my latest visit, my friends and I had the party pack chicken/mojos and two pizzas: Bianca and belly buster.The chicken, as always, was great! However, I think the quality of the mojos at that time wasn't at par with what I have grown to love, but nothing that ketchup could not fix. As for the pizzas, I prefer the belly buster, and generally, tomato-based pizzas.
