After a very long time of eating and comparing ramen all around marikina city, finally we found a place that equals to tamagoya :) though they only have 3 varieties of ramen (shoyu [soysauce based], shio [salt based], miso—all pork). We tried their miso ramen because it was the "ramen of the day" that time and it was delicious :) their gyoza was good too and very affordable. We also had the chasu otsumami, it was composed of thick slices of pork, japanese mayo, sesame seeds and dried seaweed; it was heavenly. Unlike tamagoya, you don't have to wait outside because of the long line, maybe because this ramen shop wasn't discovered yet :p they have friendly crews and the service was fast! Will come back here to try more of their food ;)Update:11-15-2015Dined here last 2weeks ago, today we got the chance to drop by again. We tasted their shoyu and shio based ramen, we also ordered their 12 pcs gyoza :) both ramen taste good but i still prefer their miso ramen :)

So I am a self-proclaimed "Ramen Lover", but I honestly have to spend quite a few more pesos to get one. But Sano Ramen I believe is my holy grail/my saviour when it comes to cheap but delicious ramen. I live in Marikina and this place is a 5 minute drive from my house. How convenient!I work for a Japanese restaurant as well (with Japanese managers all the way from Japan) so I was really excited to realize that the one who makes the ramen is well, Japanese (I think he is). I tried using the little Nihongo I know, especially when he asked if the ramen was good. I answered back with an "Oishi so" and he seemed relieved. So my family dined there since they don't encourage take-outs of the ramen (I strongly believe the owner wanted to preserve the quality of it).To sum it all up, I do recommend Sano Ramen. The staff were friendly in my opinion. Area is spacious enough. However they have limited varieties when it comes to their ramen. Not that it is a problem. (Btw I also love their gyoza!) Hopefully they would expand their menu in the future, most especially their drink selection. I don't have anything against Coca-Cola products but I wish there were at least a few more choices to ponder upon.I would like to say I'd definitely come back! (I will tag my friends along too!)

Hello this newly opened affordable ramen house in Marikina! Sano Ramen offers best ramen and some Japanese foods in the market. Read a lot of positive reviews on this so we went to try their ramen for the first time. We actually went there at around 3pm but it was closed. Wasn't aware that they have different opening & closing time. They are open 11AM-3PM and 5PM-11PM. From Caprisserrie, we walked going to Sano Ramen at around 5PM. We were the actually the first customers that arrived. Place is simple and spacious. Waiters and even the cook were very friendly.   Here's what we ordered:Sano Shio Ramen (Php175)- Shio ramen is salt based but this tastes more like soy sauce. Haha Anyway, the ramen is light and very tasty. Sano Shoyu Ramen (Php195)- Shoyu ramen is soy based but this one's orange colored (because of the spicy flavor, I guess). According to Jumi this tastes more like sesame seeds based. Haha I believe their shoyu ramen is the most flavorful and spicy one. I also think this tastes the best.  Miso Ramen (Php195) - Miso ramen is soybean paste but this one tastes more like garlic flavored.  - I think the noodles are very thick and wavy. I'm not sure if this tastes authentic but the thickness and firmness of their noodle was more than okay with me :) - Toppings given was just enough for me.  Gyoza 12pcs (Php175)  Their gyoza is also good and affordable for 12pcs!! :)) Overall, I think I have found a nice ramen spot in Marikina. Place is cozy, food is super okay. Will definitely bring more friends and highly recommended!! :)

While searching for a ramen house in marikina, we came across sano ramen house near lilac street. Just your typical japanese ramen house but it's quite affordable. Although only few people eat, they still serve their customers well :)
