Definitely a great food find! It's one of those hole-in-the-wall restaurants that you get a big surprise with what they serve. It's a very simple and straightforward place, but, oh boy, the food is absolutely the bomb! I promised the staff of the place i would put a review on website and here i am keeping my promise. 👍🖒 for Mandi's Grill Grub!

I was looking for great eats around Lilac and found this here in website as one of the top rated restos in Marikina. We were attended with a smiling servant and offered us to try their bestseller: Crispy Baby Back Ribs which is good for two. We also upgraded our drink to Cranberry Calamansi Juice.Wow, to my surprise, everything we had was very delish and sulit! From the drinks to the sides to the the ribs!!! The resto owner even approached us and asked if we need anything else. Well, everything's great! I actually love grilled ribs but their cheesy garlic version is a must-try! I have nothing bad to say. We really enjoyed our visit!!!

Some of us at the The Food Crawlers who live in the northeastern part of Metro Manila come here once in a while to sample Mandi’s tasty grilled goodies and other items that are staple to the menu.My favorite has always been and will always be the Grilled Adobo Ribs - a soy-glazed spare rib that’s, well, sort of fatty, but big on flavor. The egg on top of the rice and the extra garlic are a plus.I also recommend you order their grilled baby back ribs, seasoned simply in salt and pepper (if you call it “tadyang,” they’ll know what you’re asking for), as well as their grilled blue marlin, which is available based on market supply. As for sides, try the sisig surprise - their take on shepherd’s pie, with mashed potato on top, but with sisig.A free drink is offered with your meal. The restaurant is good for maybe 5-6 small groups. It’s homey, with vintage collectible decor that reflect the owner’s hobbies - comic book characters, cars, and old Coca Cola signs.

Marikina is like a province from where I live – Binondo. While driving to Marikina, I was already comparing places like Laguna, Fairview, and Tagaytay to see which is farther. My visit to Mandi’s was due to an invite for a good friend’s birthday. She raves about this place so much that it was really interesting to try it.Mandi’s Grill Grub is located along Lilac Street, a famous eat street. The restaurant is quite small but their servings are the total opposite. Most, if not all, of their dishes come with rice. Aside from my friend who ordered almost everything on the menu, we were encouraged to still their what we want. I ordered for their Spicy Shrimp with Three Kinds of Mushrooms in Hoisin Sauce. The dish has a touch of sweetness from the hoisin, and spiciness from the chili. The flavors blended well together in a way that it became addicting. I also like how they used black fungus as the third kind of mushroom. Some notable dishes that I have tried was the Chicken Valencia, and the Ribs with Bechamel. The chicken dish was a whole chicken that is roasted and served with slices of ham. It has a big serving and great for sharing. The ribs with béchamel was something new that I tried. I never would have thought that ribs and béchamel would go together. The result is a creamy, meaty texture that is tender and full of flavor. I think I ate a huge serving of this more than the other dishes I have tried. Oh, I heard that the giant serving of grilled blue marlin is very good as well. Definitely worth the long trip, especially for a value for money restaurant like this one.

Mandi's is the second home of my tummy. ❤️Here are my favorites so far:Grilled Adobo: melt-in-your-mouth grilled pork, adobo sauce, garlic rice, egg. Need i say more?Crispy Pork Belly with Sisig Rice: Mandi's serves the best lechon kawali/pork belly in my books. This dish is pure love. Grilled Tangigue: not a fan of fish but I loved this one. Baby Back Ribs: fall-off-the-bones yumminess. Crispy Baby Back Ribs: crispy version of the baby back ribs topped with bechamel sauce...good for sharing...or not.Spicy Adobong Baka: i find this too spicy (but that's my taste buds' fault). Extra rice please!!!Shrimp Inasal with Aligue Rice: drool.Sisig Surprise: Mandi's take on the Shepherd's Pie. Their yummy sisig topped with mashed potato.Cream Cheese Leche Flan: huhuhu. Super yummy.Spicy Suahe with Hoisin Sauce and 3 Mushrooms: shrimp, mushrooms (shitake, button, Chinese mushroom), hoisin sauce, chili. Didn't try this one because it's spicy but my friend enjoyed it so much. Grilled Crispy Pata: phenomenal. The crispy pata was smothered in sauce and grilled. Dish comes with 2 sauces: vinegar and sweet glaze. Grilled apple and cucumber slices also accompany the pata.Baked Tahong: fresh mussels with cheesy bechamel sauce and then baked.

Marikina – a city not in my map, as it is very far from where I live – Binondo. A visit here was made due to an invite of a friend who raved so much about this restaurant. It is located along Lilac Street, a new eat street in the city. The restaurant might be quaint in size, but their servings offer quite the opposite.

People from Marikina are very particular about their food. They want it to taste good while still looking for value for their money. Part of my job serving the food service industry includes visiting restaurants and I tell you, in Marikina, I have tried A LOT OF THEM. Over time, you come to differentiate the really good ones who know what they are doing from the rest.Mandi's Grill Grub, knows what it is doing. It is one of the really good ones. It's one of those places you just have to visit if you want seriously good and creative takes on food, priced kindly in a comfortable place topped with great customer service. If you have a visiting friend who is particular about food quality while being very conscious about value for money more than others, this is the place to go. I have eaten a number of times here and EVERY SINGLE DISH I LIKED. Very few restaurants get that from me.For me, their Chicken Inasal is the best in this city. Very generous portion sizes. Tender. Well-presented. The side dishes compliment the whole meal. Crispy Pork Ribs, is a must-try. This is a classic example of how Mandi's does very creative and very well-executed meals. I never had ribs served crispy with a cream sauce BUT IT WORKED SO WELL. A very hearty meal, which is well enough to be shared. Great attention was placed not only in the flavor but even in the texture of the sauce. Sisig Surprise. It is no surprise, I ate this with a smile on my face. It's a very refreshing take on the oily comfort food called Sisig. :)Customer service is awesome. They are warm and friendly. I am looking forward to the next dishes they come up with and I'm glad to have found one of those key places I can bring friends and relatives to for a lovely meal with great conversation.

I first tried the chicken bbq, and it might be the best barbeque ever. The chicken is so soft. The sauce was so tasty. (Don't know how to describe it, it's just GOOD) Will be going back for sure.

Great food! Highly recommended Grilled Marlin and Cripsy Baby back ribs!! 👍🏼👍🏼 perfect meals for an exhausting day. Most of the meals are good for two so better go by pair. It also comes with drinks. Nice place, it has a unique retro-superhero vibe. Ventilation is good. Location - Lilac so no traffic. Staff are polite and helpful. Will definitely go back 😊👍🏼

I believe that great customer service can make or break a restaurant. While food quality is incredibly important, it is the experience diners have from the minute they walk in the door to the minute they exit that counts. Mandi's Grill Grub definitely knows how to keep their customer’s needs at the forefront of every dining experience.Mandi's Grill Grub is TRULY a hidden dining gem on Lilac Street that offers family-inspired, simple, and honest food in generous servings. From the roasted and grilled, to the stewed and sizzling, Mandi's grill Grub takes us back to the basics on what we love most about eating (Pinoy) family-style. If you're visitng MGG for the first time, you must order their Chicken Valenciana, Sisig, Salt and Pepper Ribs, Adobo Ribs, and Crispy Baby Back Ribs. Their ribs are super tender and juicy and literally melts in your mouth with an amazing smokey BBQ flavour. These dishes are cooked-to-order and freshly-prepared to maintain their authenticity. Plus, it's no secret that all their dishes capture the love and effort the owners put into their food. Everything was delicious to a point where I consumed anything in front of me and was full for about 24 hours after the meal. ;)If your looking for a nice., little chill spot to go and have some good barbecue ribs and/or Pinoy comfort dishes, this is the place to be. Prices are decent; Meaning, I didn't feel like I was buying a car to get a good portion of meat on my ribs. Sure, there are a lot of new restaurants on Lilac Street but there's no question where you'll be making a stop the next time you're in the area.
