I tried their lengua and it’s one of the best. Their crispy pata and kare kare is also good. We were really satisfied. Value for money. Must try!

Lula’s House is located in a residential area. The space is a garage creatively converted to a restaurant. I tried their famous Kare-Kare (good for 1-2pax) which I must say tastes really good. You can really taste the peanuts mixed well with the sauce. The bagoong is especially made to compliment their own version of Kare-Kare. Their serving is really enough for the indicated ideal number of people to eat. I also tried their bagnet which I thought I won’t be able to eat because I’m wearing braces. But surprisingly, I was able to because the skin is crispy-soft and the meat is so tender and chewable for me. Their houseblended iced tea tastes really good because of the real hint of tea. Would definitely go back!

Kare-Kare has always been a fave of mine and so I have been dying to try Lula's. I loved their Kare-kare and you can feel the love and effort of the people behind the dish. There bagoong is also very good. The serving is ample. I think the use tripe and pata to be fair and improves the over all flavor of the dish. The kare-kare lover in me is satisfied.

Please read the full review from the link below. Thanks!Excerpt: The “Original Lula’s House of Kare-kare” tasted good. Kare-kare is a stew of thick peanut sauce and is accompanied by bagoong alamang (fermented shrimp paste). The meat and vegetables tasted really clean which is not so common with other kare-kares out there. The only issue we had was that the sauce was a little too runny and bland (even if we put bagoong). The bagnet (double or triple-fried pork belly) was so good. Like really good. We ordered another serving. The skin stuck to our teeth, which is a sign of a good bagnet (or crispy pata, or lechon kawali). The meat was juicy and not dry. It was a delicious dish. The bulalo (Pinoy beef marrow stew) was ok. The meat was soft and almost tasted like corned beef, and the broth was rich.Taste = 4/5Service = 4/5Place = 4/5Value = 4/5

Some time ago, we tried this new place in Marikina called Lula’s House of Kare-Kare. It’s a few minutes by car from Riverbanks Mall and SM Marikina. It was the garage of the Padilla home in the Industrial Valley Subdivision that was converted into a restaurant to showcase their beloved family recipe for Kare-Kare. In case you’re wondering, yes, this is the Kare-Kare of the famous Padilla clan.

Lula's Kare-kare is really awesome! Fresh veggies in every bite & the meat is really tender. This is where you should head to when you miss your mom's cooking :p Their place is nearer than Ma's so it's pretty convenient.

Ordered kare kare solo but serves good for two. Ample serving. Savory sauce, lots of veggies, thick sauce paired with home made bagoong. Rellenong bangus is also a feast. Big slice and not malansa. They have parking which is great. Service is fast. Food is delish! Value for money indeed.

They expanded the restaurant to accomodate more people. And according to the owner, a function room will be made available soon. We liked the simple ambiance. While waiting, read and reflect on the inspiring quotes that fill their walls. During our stay, there music was too loud and I did not quite enjoy that.We ordered the all time favourite Kare-Kare and it did not disappoint. The sauce was very creamy and delicious. No need for the Bagoong. The Cheese Pops were big, crunchy and cheezy. The crust was not too thick either. And it they did not skimp on the Cheese.Fish and Chips were alright too. Big cuts of white fish, pano-crusted and crunchy. Accompanied with crunchy French Fries. However, instead of mayo, we had ketchup that was OK too.Lastly, we ordered the Crispy Pata, sadly we were a bit disappointed with this meal. It was overcooked and salty.Serving sizes can feed 2-3 people. Prices are affordable. Their Kara-Kare is truly the best.

Found out about this resto thru a friend's post in FB. She raved about their kare-kare and crispy pata. We decided to try out this resto for Father's day dinner and true enough, we were very delighted! We ordered their best sellers, All Meat Kare-kare, Sisig, and Crispy Pata. Everything was delicious! Wait time/service is fast and the staff were all very accomodating and friendly. The place is very homey and intimate. We will definitely come back to try their other dishes. Looking forward to our next visit! Thank's Lalu's!June 25, 2017As promised we went back for a late lunch today to try out Lula's other dishes. This time we ordered their Beef Mechado, Bagnet, Rellenong Bangus, and Sisig. Again, the food did not disappoint as we finished everything, plates all clean to the last drop and morsel. What's nice is that food prices are vey affordable too. We were again treated with service that's fast and welcoming. Already thinking of our next visit, more likely a date night with hubby as I wanna try their pasta next. Once again, thanks for the delicious food Lula's.
