Last October 17, me and my highschool kada Jumi was supposed to attend the first website event in Marikina, The Lilac St Food Fest.We decided to try Leon's Bistro in Empire shop building as there was 2 avail seats that was perfect for us 2. Even though there were a lot of people that time, I think the place is nice, clean and comfy. Upon seating, we were immediately handed the menu.  Here's what we ordered: Japanese Seafood Carbonara (Php175) - I really love pasta and white sauce so I ordered this one. Their Japanese Seafood Carbonara really amazes me as the combination of the white sauce and seafood toppings compliments well. Servings given was quite enough for me. Bacon Wrapped Beef Tenderloin Medallion with Mashed Potato (Php330)- I only tasted a bit of this dish (as this is Jumi's order), the taste was really delish. The tenderloin medallion combines well with the mashed potato and the sauce. Servings given was also a lot. Both of the meals were definitely delish. Though along the way, there was "umay" factor as we were both eating just 1 meal. So sometimes we just tasted each others food for that "pang alis umay" hahaOverall, I think I had a nice experience dining at this place. Foods was all okay but I think prices are quite high end especially for foodtrips. But if you want a nice dining food experience with high quality foods, I think this one of the restaurants in Lilac St I can totally recommend for you. :)

After having a look around Empire Fashion Cafe, we decided to have our dinner downstairs at Leon's Bistro. The place looks pricey from the outside, but once you see their menu, it's pretty much affordable.Their crews don't mind the customers getting inside, no greetings at all, too busy with their chores. It's more pleasing and overwhelming if they will greet their guests. They are also a bit shy in getting the orders. But not a big deal totally. The bistro has simple interior design but very comfortable to dine in. We ordered Nachos Supreme and Fish & Chips for our starters, they tasted good. The pasta, Basil Pesto with Grilled Shrimp (recommended) and Japanese Seafood Carbonara are also good. Their T-bone Steak (recommended) is yummy.Their food and service are satisfying, the prices are worth it. If you want a simple or casual dining with friends or family, Leon's Bistro is the great place for it.

We drove to Marikina to look for an online seller's store front when we stumbled into this humble food spot. The place was cozy and a perfect spot for a Sunday family lunch. I already ate at home but couldn't resist the menu and their cheap prices.Geoffsmile ordered Baby Back Ribs (Php 225). Instead of having it with mash potato, he opted steam rice. He was all smiles while describing his dish. The meat was so tender and flavorful. There were sides of green beans that were crunchy and cooked perfectly. It include a small serving of BBQ sauce but was not really needed as the meat has a ton load of flavor.I ordered the Spicy Seafood Arabiatta (Php 185). It wasn't spicy at all so I think the "word" should have been removed from the menu. There were squids and hefty pieces of shrimps. I like it because it didn't tasted tomato-ey. I don't like the sourness of citrus on a pasta. For some reason it was creamy and full of texture. The downside is the side baguettes. It feels old and chewy.Drumroll...The winner goes to our appetizer. 4 pieces of fried kesong puti (Php 175) laid in a tomato & basil sauce. I'm a cheesy guy - and this hit my tastebuds oh so well. I wanted more!Never deprive yourself of good food! I hope I made you salivate and crave! Add me and like my review.Burp!

A new restaurant along lilac. All of the food that we ordered were super yummy! During our first visit, we've tried their buffalo wings, japanese carbonara, t-bone steak, pesto, leon's burger, and bacon wrapped beef tenderloin medallion. For me, I really liked everything in here but my friend didn't like her pesto because for her, it's so strong that you can't taste the pasta anymore because it was empowered by the taste of the pesto. On our second visit, we had the surf and turf, beef salpicao and bacon wrapped croquettes. Everything was so tasteful and you will come back over and over again since the food is worth your money.

We finally got the chance to dine at Leon's Bistro located at the Ground floor of 10 Lilac Building, Lilac Street, Marikina, a week after the New Year. It's one of the 3 popular food establishments in the same floor. The place was quiet, simple but definitely not simpler. It has that understated and refined charm, exuding a calm and clean aura sans the clutter of an ostentatious restaurant. It didn't need to impress. It has a low profile stance, but with a lot to offer in terms of food quality and options on the menu. We tried the Japanese Seafood Carbonara: spaghetti noodles, mixed with creamy carbonara sauce, seafood and pieces of Japanese Nori. (Dried edible seaweed sheets made from a species of red algae, most commonly known for its use in making Sushi)The food was totally delicious! It was not overwhelming w/ sauce and it has a well-balanced taste. Leon's Japanese Seafood Carbonara was in fact highly recommended to us by Nadia, the owner of Leon's 'neighbor-resto', when we got to eat there and talk to her. (That's friendly competition in it's form.)Gladly, we met Gino, the young, unassuming Chef and one of Leon Bistro's owners as well. Apparently, he used to be the Chef of one of the pioneer restaurants in Lilac Street that we once visited and tried. Our compliments to the Chef and to Leon's waitstaff Daisy and Sam. Thanks for the very pleasant dining experience. We really appreciate it!

We went there a week a go. We started with their ceasar salad, we find dressing too sour. Maybe they added too much lemon juice. Then the salmon with mash potato was "nakakaumay". There is no texture with that dish. We also tried thier grilled tuna with mash potato instead of rice. The mash potato needs a bit of salt and pepper. All in all we are willing to go back to try other dishes on their menu. But most likely we won't order the same food anymore. 😊

Great ambiance, great service, great food. Everything here is great! I love their Basil Pesto with Grilled shrimp Pasta; The shrimps are juicy and seasoned perfectly. Also tried the Aglio Olio Pasta. The garlic flavor in this pasta is too strong but I like the sun-dried tomatoes, it helps a little to reduce the strong taste of garlic madness in your mouth. Lastly, we ordered their Croquettes. Definitely worth the price. Tastes so good, you'll want more. Overall, this place is totally a must try! Will definitely come back!

Food is very good, a five really. The salmon is superb. The club sandwich is flavorful without being too rich. But you know why I gave them a 3.0? Room temp beer and hot, yes, hot can of soda. You can add ice to orbit that's like adding water to your drink. Also, you shouldn't put ice on your beer.Owner: you've got a great place here. Please add a beverage refrigerator.Brian Matic
