Childhood place. We used to go here way back and we have fond family memories. I appreciated the food even more now. I would always love the green mango salad and the tom yum. It makes me happy. This place is one of my guilty pleasures. The price increased but it is okay. This branch is the original and I loved the food and ambiance here more. Krung Thai is an institution in Marikina and a must visit when in the city.

I visited the resto with coworkers. I was not exactly an Asian dish fan, unfortunately because most of their must order items were seafood based spec. with shrimps or crabs (which I am allergic at). We tried varity of meals from their menu. I did like the barbecue however, still not a fan of Thai foods. I love their sweet sticky rice with mango though.

This is my favorite local thai place. Food is just sooooo delicious, consistently. I grew up eating food from this resto and I’ve never left unsatisfied ever.Only downside to this place is their CR. No flush, always wet. :(

This small Thai restaurant comes as a pleasant surprise for its low-key appearance near a covered market.Tom Yam Seafood Soup - Easily the favorite dish out of all we've tried, the Tom Yum is a mouthwatering and flavorful beginning to the meal. The mix of sweet, sour, and fragrant waken up the taste buds. We ordered a mild version and loved just the hint of heat. The seafood mix of fish, shrimp, and squid is scattered generously. My most critical comment is that they used cream Dory for the fish component, which has the typical Dory fishiness to it. But the Dory doesn't mess with the overall flavor of the soup.Chicken Basil - While the small menu photo makes the chicken appear like ground meat, the actual presentation contains morsels in a sweet-savory sauce. It shares similarities with the Tom Yam Soup's flavor profile.Stir Fried Spicy Kangkong - Crisp kangkong with a healthy amount of garlic flavor!Pad Thai - The noodles are well-coated in sauce and fairly "masahog". I ended up skipping the rice and going for the Pad Thai.Crispy Fish With Sweet Chili Sauce - What you would expect from the name. Fried fish in a sweet and sour sauce. Pretty basic and has a typical homemade taste and presentation to it.Thai Milk Tea - For P129, it is a big drink. Satisfying and helps soothe the palate from any chili-flavored dishes you consume.I am looking forward to trying their curries next, as well as the Chicken Pandan.

It's small and it's homey. But that's exactly what you need to really enjoy thai food in my opinion. Their cooking here reminds me of the places I ate at in Phuket. Best to dine with family and friends as portions are big.

I ordered the Pad Thai and I was sooo disappointed. It doesn’t taste anything like a Thai dish - the hotness is not there, no peanuts (if it’s there, I didn’t taste it at all), I didn’t get any hint of the tamarind paste, too. The bean sprouts...I saw only a few pieces. Over-all, it’s not worth its price of P240++. BTW, their prices are high considering the ambience and their location.

Situated in the heart of Marikina market is Krung thai, an authentic and cozy little place that serves you legit thai cuisine. My favorites are the sauteed pork with broccoli, their green curry and their to-die-for spring rolls. I am salivating right now just thinking about it. I have brought friends here many times and nobody is ever disappointed. The place is a bit small but it's cute, furnished with wooden tables and thai decorations that gives off that organic feel. You also have to try their milkteas. The serving is big so you can actually ask the staff to half it and put in 2 separate glasses so 2 people can share it. They also have in-store bottled sauces and pickles stuff that you can bring home. Their sweet and chili sauce is a staple on my kitchen cupboard.

Whenever I go home to my parents' house in Marikina, we would always dine here. Our favorites are: padthai special, thai bagoong rice (with pork, egg, and green mango salad), krung thai fried chicken, and their milk tea. Oh, dont forget the tom yum seafood soup! It's a bonus that this resto is beside the market as you are guaranteed that the ingredients are always fresh. The interiors are nice too! It could be a little warm and humid sometimes esp if you ate a lot of tom yum soup. 5/5

We tried the pad thai and it was great. The serving is also good for 2 people. The restaurant is just inside the market though not good if you bring your car as it is hard to get a parking
