I came here for the Halo Halo, but I also ordered the Palabok. The halo halo was, of course, cold and refreshing, but was tad bit too sweet. It seemed there were chunks of really sweet bananas that tasted like pure sugar. The palabok was surprisingly good. One of the best ones I've had in a while.

I've been wanting to dine at Kabigting's Halo Halo since last year but I was only able to try it a few weeks ago. Btw, they are now located near Puregold/Crepeman/Picazza in Lilac Street. Went here around 4pm on a weekday and there were lots of customers that time. Place has this very nice Filipino-Kapampangan vibes and they can accommodate maybe 20-25 customers inside. Menu can already found on the table. Then one must pay for their order on the counter. Here's what we ordered: Combo Meal: Tosilog with Halo Halo (Php185) - I find their Tosilog sweet to my liking. Serving size were a bit small especially the rice. Combo Meal: Crispy Liempo with Halo Halo (200) - Their crispy liempo were a bit thin and hard to chew. Servings were okay but the servings for rice were small. - I like that their halo halo is very milky and creamy but I was a bit dissappointed with the "sahog" included. I was expecting a halo halo with ALL or even close to the halo halo we usually eat. There were beans, pastillas and some corn included for their halo halo. Kabigting's halo halo can be compared with the taste of Razon's but just too sweet for my taste. Overall, it was a good experience dining here and trying their famous Halo halo. If you're a fan of sweets and Kapampangan Halo halo, this is recommended.

After a Sunday event with children in Marikina, we desperately looked for a lunch stop. Lilac has a lot of choices, we ended up here and Crepe Man. Affordable meals includes various Silog choices, palabok, lumpia and of course, Halo Halo. We forgot to test their banner dish but had 4 others anyway. We had three Silogs. The Chicken Tocino, Tapa and their interesting Liempo strips. All three were decent and portions were of good value. The fresh lumpia was really fresh with ample vegetables. The not so sweet and spiced sauce made it more appetizing.

I like the palabok but the halo-halo didn't live up to the hype. Razon's is still better. Decent ambiance but ordinary. Regardless, it's worth trying and checking for yourself.

We've been eyeing up Kabigting's since it transferred to this new location in Lilac. The place is clean, well-lit and homey. Finally got the chance to try its Halo-Halo and Palabok just to satisfy our curiosity in comparison with one of its competition (Razon's). Both have few simple ingredients but were uniquely tasty (although some say one is sweeter than the other). But since we're actually fond of the real homemade or shall we say mom-made Halo-halo bursting with various colorful ingredients (like sweetened banana 'saba', 'camote', 'bilo-bilo', 'red and green gulaman', white and red beans, shredded coconut meat, 'pinipig' or rice crispies, topped with leche flan, 'ube' and a generous amount of milk) we'd say both didn't leave a big impression to us. But who cares? When we crave for Halo-halo, specially on extreme hot weather, we know Kabigtings' just around the block ready to rescue. We also like its Palabok better; it's tastier with more sauce and garnishings. Price is affordable and the service staff were attentive and accommodating.

Are you looking for that legit pastillas on ice? Look no more! Kabigting's Halo Halo is a piece of heaven, their shaved ice is like Bingsu's folded with mashed bananas, beans, milk and pastillas chunks. Beat THAT! PS: I wasn't able to take a photo, I was too excited and ate it all at once!

Had merienda @ Kabigtings's Lilac St. lst Tuesday. They serve the best Palabok. I give it 5⭐. The Sariwang Lumpia is good too. I love the combination of different vegetables. Sauce is not sweet..4⭐. The dinuguan I personally don't like. They used the regular white vinegar..2⭐. Their staff are really nice..5⭐ Halo-Halo which is what they're famous for I give 4⭐. We paid 430 for the halo-halo, dinuguan, lumpiang sariwa & palabok. Not bad, isn't it? 😊

This Kabigting's is literally a mom and pop store. The couple who owns it talk as if they are in their own home. For me, this is a good thing. It really gives new meaning to the word homey.I ordered a quarter of the Kobe fried chicken which came with rice topped with toasted garlic. It was okay. Should have tried other meals. We had the halo halo which I liked. It had beans, corn and pastillas. I'll come back for this.
