If you need a quiet place to be in with good coffee in hand, Ground and Brew is the place for you! For a cheap price of 80Php for French-pressed coffee, you definitely get the bang for your buck. Although the tuna in their tuna pesto didn't taste quite fresh, I have to say that I enjoyed it. The staff are nice and accommodating.

+ Design: An Instagram worthy place because of the high ceiling and woodwork.- Furniture: If you're using the couch, the foam is too soft so you'd sink. So the elbow height to table ratio is not ergonomically appropriate. Bad for your posture whether you're eating or working.+ Service: The water glass is frequently refilled and rarely do you need to prompt the servers. The second time I ordered French press coffee I went to the counter and asked if  they get the hot water from the espresso maker. One of the attendants pointed to the coffee air pot. Then I said the water in the French press wasn't hot. So someone went to my table and replaced my order. Good job.+ Restroom: Although you have to go out of the establishment, lavatory is stocked with TPs, liquid hand soap and a scented oil burner.- Room for improvement: Mosquitoes hovering inside the establishment. Seems like this pest issue is not being addressed because someone else has called it out.-+ Food: I ordered Country Breakfast and chose bacon and scrambled eggs. The eggs were nicely done, it wasn't stiff and dry yet there wasn't any wobbly albumen. It could use a bit of pepper though. I didn't like the butter because it didn't smell like butter, it could either be butter compound or margarine (Magnolia Baker's Best). It put a damper on the taste experience. I had Marinara with Pan Fried Cream Dory for dinner. My bone of contention with most Filipino-owned restaurants that serve pasta are 1) too much sauce and 2) over cooked noodles and my order had both. However, the sauce was tasty and not sweet (another Filipino preference). Love the piquant capers. The downer was the fish that was too salty I had to wince and gulp water after each piece. Normally I don't waste food but I couldn't force myself to eat the last piece of fish, which also smelled fishy (pun intended). Ordering cream dory is a risk because it is not fresh but frozen, which means it could have been thawed and refrozen several times or nuked instead of properly thawed. Fresh fish or properly thawed frozen fish should have a faint smell of breezy sea and ironically, not smell fishy. Will I return? Yes, because food price is reasonable, the place is quiet enough to enjoy reading, have a meeting or concentrate on work or study.

Service was fast. Crew was corteous. Love their frappes here! We ordered nutella frappe and white chocolate mocha :) the place is cozy and when it comes to the price it is affordable and worth it.

I found this cute little cafe after I ate at another restaurant nearby (Tiyo's Cuisine). We decided to try it out and didn't regret that decision at all.The ambiance is nice and cozy. It's the perfect place to study or to catch up with friends because during the time that we went, there was only one other group of people aside from us. :)We tried out their French Press Coffee (P 80), (which is already good for two, by the way!! What a bargain) and their Frozen Caramel Ice Blended Coffee(P 120). We did not order food because we were still full. The drinks tasted good - they are also cheaper than similar drinks in other establishments. I did not regret coming here and I had a good time here.Service was great. They are attentive and friendly. :) The only thing I did not like was the fact that I was itching most of the time because there were a few mosquitoes even though we were inside. I was wearing a dress so I guess a tip is for you to wear pants in case. Hahaha!Other than that, it's a really cute cafe worth visiting. :)

Best place to work/study in Marikina! It's quiet and cozy, power outlets are available, and for the best part, they have yummy but cheap coffee! Next best, I would say, is the white chocolate sans rival although it is not always available.

I really enjoyed the food! My best friend finished her caramel machiatto in like 5 minutes and said she likes it just like the starbucks back at home in the US. The carbonara was very well seasoned and had so much flavor. My best friend had their marinara pasta with cream dory and she really enjoyed it too. I will be going back! Just wish that i had more water to drink. But overall I loved it! 😍

Tucked in a residential street, this cafe has a peaceful ambience perfect for studying, working, or just some alone time. The interiors have no specific theme - its main decor is a fake fireplace. Overall, it has a classy no frills atmosphere. It has a wide selection of food items, mostly comfort food. I ordered their chicken and waffle set. The chicken strips were fried well with just the right crunch. I was a bit disappointed with the waffle though. It was cooked well but the taste is bland - it seems the batter is just made from a ready mix. I also had French Press. I like it! The flavor has just the right boldness. It's value for money too as the volume is equivalent to 2 1/2 cups.

I was looking for a place to hang around since I got to the area pretty early for the event I was going to attend... and I discovered this place! From the outside, the walls of glass gave the place such a modern feel. However, upon entering, you are immediately transported to some cabin-like place! Looking around the cafe, I felt like I was no longer in Marikina... not even in Manila! They even have a "fireplace" on the wall.I also really liked their bar and high stools. I can totall work all day there. 😊 (Make sure you fully charge your laptop though since they only have 2 outlets.)I had a feast taking pictures of the place. Since we were passing time and I didn't want to get full. We tried their Nutella Frappe and shared it. Upon taking my first sip, it really just tasted more like a mocha frappe than a nutella one. The nutella taste is very light. It's there... but it's light. It can definitely use even just a tad bit more of nutella in it. What we did like though was the fact that there were little bits of nutella chunks (probably didn't melt in cause it was mixed in after it was blended). When you get a sip of these nutella chunks, the drink becomes really delicious! The baristas were also very friendly and helpful!Hoping to hang out here longer next time and try more of their stuff.

Decent food and ambiance, not remarkable but great for an afternoon me-time or personal down time. It can be a place where you can get things done too if you like working in a quiet environment. Rock-bottom prices, but as they say, you get what you pay for. Food can be improved. Their monte cristo sandwich and sriracha chicken is something you can easily whip at home. Their Caramel Macchiato is too sweet for my tasting.Fair to middling service, but pretty much ideal for a quiet juncture/still hour. #zomatoph #yummiez

Nice place to stay if you're up for studying or a small chat with friends. The food & drinks are not the best in town but relatively good enough. If you're a coffee lover, I wouldnt recommend their iced coffees. Perhaps the hot ones are more rich and flavorful since having no ice would make it less bland. Nevertheless, the whole experience was worth the visit. Props to their Western-style interiors, it kinda reminds me of my stay in Europe!
